Chapter 51 You don't like my brother?
Fiona was taken into the interrogation room by the police for over twenty minutes. After the officer came out of the room, Leander went over to talk to him. He then returned to Alexander and Sandra to report the truth.
"Mr. Alexander Melville, Mrs. Sandra Melville, the police have completed their investigation. Today's events were indeed orchestrated by Fiona and a middle-aged man named Gavin."
"The police found evidence of their communication on their devices. They planned to lure Katherine to the mall, then together, they would drug her and frame her as a prostitute."
"Katherine accidentally lost her phone and wallet, which were found by a woman wearing the same clothes as her. Gavin mistook the woman and brought her to the hotel instead."
"The only fortunate thing is that the situation at the hotel didn't escalate to the final stage, and the mistaken woman wasn't sexually assaulted. However, Fiona will still be detained for 15 days due to her involvement in the crime."
Upon hearing the outcome, Sandra was overwhelmed and fainted. Alexander supported her and instructed Leander loudly, "Call an ambulance!"
"Yes, Mr. Melville!" Leander immediately took out his phone to dial 911.
Katherine calmly spoke up, "No need. I've already called for an ambulance, and it should be here by now."
As she finished speaking, the paramedics hurriedly arrived with a stretcher. They lifted the unconscious Sandra onto it, placed an oxygen mask on her, and swiftly took her to the ambulance, heading back to the hospital.
Leander, following Alexander's orders, accompanied Sandra and left with the ambulance.
Soon, the police station returned to its previous calm and solemn state.
Alexander squinted at Katherine. She had called the ambulance in advance. Had she known everything beforehand?
Sensing Alexander's scrutiny, Katherine didn't mind. She walked over to the officer and politely said, "Officer, may I go in and have a word with Fiona?"
The officer frowned, a bit puzzled. "She tried to harm you. Are you sure you still want to talk to her?"
Katherine smiled, "After all, we are still relatives. We will have to live together after she comes out. I'll go in now and have a chat with her, resolve our conflicts, and hopefully live in peace in the future."
"You are truly magnanimous!" The officer was impressed by Katherine's cooperation throughout and nodded, "Alright, you may go in. But please come out quickly!"
"Thank you."
Inside the interrogation room, as soon as Fiona saw Katherine walk in, she angrily stood up and shouted, "Katherine! You despicable woman! It's all because of you! This is all your sinister plot!"
Fiona, a pampered young lady, had never experienced such interrogation before. At this moment, she was extremely irritable.
However, because Fiona refused to cooperate with the police interrogation, her hands were handcuffed to the table. Otherwise, she might have already lunged at Katherine and attacked her!
Katherine calmly sat across from her, lazily cleaning her ears. She calmly said, "No, this is your own scheme. I was only acting in self-defense."
Fiona was momentarily speechless. She angrily clenched her teeth and said, "You are a disgusting woman too! You pretended to be so innocent in front of my brother and grandmother, but now you are so cunning and deceitful!"
Katherine smiled, "I am indeed innocent, but I am also cunning and deceitful. I have two faces - one that kind people see and the other that deceivers see. Miss Fiona, before you curse me, you should reflect on your own actions."
This young woman, with an angelic face, had a smile that carried a hint of devilishness and coldness.
Fiona couldn't help but shiver. "You... you wicked woman! You... you..."
Katherine interrupted, "Whether I am a wicked woman or not entirely depends on your perception of my actions. I warned you not to provoke me, but you didn't listen!"
Fiona realized that she had lost, but she was still puzzled. "So, how did you do it? The woman who was taken to the hotel by Gavin today was clearly you! I saw it with my own eyes!"
Katherine leaned back in her chair lazily and smirked, "As one of my teachers once said, girls should be cautious and protect themselves when they are out. Today, you suddenly tried to please me and begged me to go shopping with you, so you must be up to some tricks. I certainly didn't naively believe that your attitude towards me had suddenly changed. As for how I played you, I won't reveal that!"
In fact, Katherine had initially held a slight expectation for Fiona, hoping to peacefully coexist with her for three months and avoid unnecessary trouble.
However, her subordinate, Frank, recently discovered that Gavin had been lurking outside the Galatea Manor for several days. So, Frank had been secretly keeping an eye on him.
Later, Frank found out that Gavin and Fiona were plotting something, and he promptly reported the situation to Katherine.

Originally, Katherine had refrained from taking severe actions against Fiona out of consideration for Sandra. If Fiona had stopped her scheme just one minute earlier, Katherine wouldn't have delved further.
But Fiona insisted on framing her as a prostitute! So, Fiona's current predicament was entirely her own doing.
Fiona glared at her and said, "Katherine, don't get too cocky! Even if you have your ways, my brother will never fall for a woman like you, who is deceitful inside and out!"
Katherine yawned, "Is that so? Well, that's great. I wouldn't be interested in your boring brother either!"
"What? You don't like my brother?" Fiona was taken aback for a moment, then rolled her eyes. "I don't believe it! If you don't like my brother, then why did you agree to marry him?"
"Do you think I willingly married him?"
Katherine scoffed, "Perhaps your brother is indeed popular in the eyes of other women but not in mine. I admit he is good-looking, but he is always serious and taciturn. Living with a man like him would be too dull for me!"
Fiona couldn't believe what she was hearing. She angrily said, "How dare you speak ill of my brother like that? Watch as he divorces you!"
Katherine replied nonchalantly, "I would welcome it! When he divorces me, I will be eternally grateful."
Fiona looked at Katherine in disbelief, finding it hard to believe that she was lying...
Was there really a woman in this world who didn't like her brother?
Alexander, with his exceptional looks, physique, family background, and abilities, why would Katherine reject him?
At that moment, Alexander stood tall at the door of the interrogation room, and he heard every word clearly.
He smiled bitterly.
