Chapter 539 Going Abroad and Dating Women
Moreover,Joshua and Lillian were always plotting against each other; there was zero real affection there.
No wonder she didn't buy into the whole love thing.
Then Katherine found out she wasn't even Joshua's kid and had ties to the Mitchell family. She met her real dad, Edwin.
Turns out, Edwin was even worse—a total hypocrite in a suit, not even consistently awful like Joshua!
Back in the day, Edwin chased after her mom pretending it was love, finally got her, and then started staying out all night, cheating, and even had a kid on the side!
Then he had the nerve to accuse Katherine's mom of cheating, and with the Mitchell family's help, kicked her out, leaving her in a desperate situation.
What a jerk!
"Katherine, did you start believing in love after meeting Alex?" Teresa blinked her big, curious eyes at her and asked again.
Thinking of Alex, who ghosted her, Katherine's eyes got all complicated, and she frowned a bit, "…I don't know."
Teresa tilted her head, confused, "What do you mean you don't know? Weren't you with Alex because of love?"
Katherine said, "All I know is, right now, he's in my heart, and he's super important, important enough that I'd give up everything for him. But what this feeling is called, I can't say, and I can't promise the future. Plus, I don't even know if he feels the same way about me."
Teresa nodded like crazy, "Katherine, trust me, Alex loves you. He really, really loves you!"
Katherine smirked a bit, "Really?"
If he really loved her, why hadn't he called or texted by now?
Even if he flew to Antarctica, he should've arrived by now!
Couldn't he at least let her know he wasokay?
Meanwhile...
As Ambrosia walked out of the hospital, Sunny, who was seeing Jonathan off, spotted her and wanted to ask where she was headed.
But before he could get close, Ambrosia had already hopped into a fancy car with a chauffeur and took off.
Sunny, being the nosy one, hesitated for a sec, then quickly grabbed a cab and told the driver to follow her.
He had to figure out who this woman was and what her deal with Katherine was!
Ambrosia's car didn't go far before pulling into a hotel parking lot, and the cab followed.
After knocking on the door of the presidential suite, Ambrosia glanced at her watch.
The door opened, and there was Frank, with just a towel around his waist and wet hair, clearly fresh out of the shower.
Ambrosia's eyes swept over him coldly, then she looked into the suite and asked, "What are you up to?"
Frank shrugged and grinned, "Just finished showering, can't you tell?"
Ambrosia brushed past him and walked straight into the suite, expecting to find something juicy, but the bed was neat, and there was no sign of any woman. "Where's your girlfriend?"
Ambrosia turned to ask him.
Frank closed the door and started drying his hair with a towel, "Don't even get me started! She came to the hotel with me but wouldn't let me touch her. It was no fun, so I sent her home!"
Ambrosia adjusted her gold-rimmed glasses and pulled up a chair, "If you want Teresa to back off, you don't have to humiliate her like that. You know she likes you, yet you made her bring you and another woman contraceptives. Are you even human? Katherine was pissed when she found out."
Frank, having dried his hair, tossed the towel aside and lazily flopped onto the bed, "Ambrosia, you and Katherine are being too hard on me. Does Ms. Harris look like she's given up on me at all? To make a woman give up on me, she has to hate me first, right?"
Ambrosia took out her phone and nodded at him, "Get up and put on some clothes!"
Frank did get up, and while putting on his clothes, he asked, "What's up? Where are you going?"
"Put on your clothes first," Ambrosia said, not wasting words, setting her phone upright on the table.
Frank didn't ask further, went to the bathroom, and came out dressed, "Alright, where to..."
Before he could finish, Ambrosia punched him in the face!
Frank, who always cared about his handsome face, was furious, "Ambrosia, why'd you hit my face!"
Ambrosia didn't care. She raised her hand and punched the other side of his face, making him yelp, then threw him to the ground with a shoulder throw!
Frank, now dirty again after his shower, grumbled, "Ambrosia, you dragon lady, you hit me again! I'm telling Katherine you bullied me!"
Ambrosia stepped on him, keeping him down, and looked down at him, "Katherine told me to beat you up! Can you stop making Katherine worry? She's already stressed from her pregnancy and doesn't need to get angry over your nonsense!"
Unable to get up, Frank decided to lie comfortably on the ground, "Is it me making Katherine worry, or is it Mr. Melville? Who do you think caused her stress and bad mood?"
Ambrosia looked down at him, "That's between Katherine and Mr. Melville. We shouldn't interfere in Katherine's personal feelings!"
Frank snorted, "Shouldn't we? If we don't interfere, Alex is going to take advantage of Katherine! I'm telling you, you women have no sense when it comes to men, and once you get emotional, you're all in! No exceptions!"
Hearing the implication in Frank's words, Ambrosia lifted her foot, walked over, and turned off the recording phone before turning back, "What did you find out? Speak clearly!"
Frank got up, dusted himself off, and, not holding a grudge for the beating, said seriously, "I've felt something was off for a while! Alex acts like he cares about Katherine, but he never goes to get a marriage certificate with her! Katherine doesn't say it, but she minds it a lot! Today, when I heard Alex left Katherine for a business trip, I immediately had someone check his flight and arrange for someone in Markovia to see if he was really on a business trip! And guess what, I was right, Alex went to Markovia to see a woman!"
Hearing this, Ambrosia's brow furrowed, "What woman?"
