Chapter 487 Scarlett is a Twin?

Bernard pinched his brow, and his dark eyes were somewhat bored. "So, instead of addressing Katherine's doubts, you throw a tantrum? How does that make you look innocent?"

Did he really just say "throwing a tantrum" to Scarlett?

How could such a word be used for Ms. Mitchell of the Mitchell family?

It was all Katherine's fault! Scarlett had to play this sympathy card. Her grandparents felt sorry for her, but Bernard wasn't as tolerant anymore and even spoke to her like this!

Scarlett cried, "Bernard, I don't want to act like this. Katherine cornered me! She keeps blaming me for those scandals, saying I'm behind them. It's so unfair."

Bernard stayed stern. "Her accusations aren't baseless."

Scarlett looked hurt. "Why don't you believe me, Bernard? You trust Katherine over a few words."

Bernard replied, "The traffic records Katherine found show you lied. You did drive to the outer ring early in the morning. Even I would doubt you with this evidence, let alone her."

Scarlett blinked guiltily, then tearfully said, "Can't I just go for a drive alone? I don't even know Katherine's stepmother. That photo was photoshopped; it's not me!"

Bernard squinted at his stubborn sister, feeling both annoyed and troubled. He couldn't hit her or kick her out.

Katherine checked her watch and said calmly, "Mr. Mitchell, Lillian and Sherry should be here. Can you send someone to bring them in?"

Bernard paused, then nodded and signaled the servant.

Scarlett's face turned even paler. Katherine actually brought Lillian here. Did Lillian take the money and switch sides?

She looked helplessly at Alice, who was also grim and confused. Before Lillian and Sherry came in, Katherine stood up and said, "Everyone knows Lillian and I don't get along, so I invited Lillian and Sherry here in Scarlett's name. Except for Scarlett, everyone else should leave for a bit. This way, we can see if Scarlett knows them or not. What do you think?"

Bernard stood up with Katherine. "Someone, help my grandparents to the inner room."

Vincent and Hellen exchanged puzzled looks. Why was Bernard, usually aloof, so cooperative with Katherine? It was unlike him!

But Katherine's request made sense. If it could clear their granddaughter's name and prove Scarlett didn't know Lillian, they had no reason not to cooperate.

Thinking this, they accepted the servant's help and moved to a nearby room to wait.

Katherine glanced at the pale Scarlett and said to Alice, "Let's go. Everyone else is cooperating by leaving. It wouldn't be right if you stayed."

Alice wanted to stay with Scarlett, but with Katherine's urging, she had no choice but to leave. Before getting up, she squeezed Scarlett's hand, trying to calm her down.

Scarlett looked at Alice, panicked and unable to calm down.

Alice, wanting to help but having no choice, joined Vincent and Hellen in the inner room.

Katherine followed, and Bernard, with a resigned look, glanced at Scarlett before following Katherine.

The inner room door was left ajar, allowing them to hear everything outside.

After a while, Lillian and Sherry were brought into the Mitchell family's living room by the servants.

Lillian and Sherry looked puzzled, not knowing why Scarlett had called them.

Seeing Scarlett alone on the sofa, Lillian smiled obsequiously. "Miss Mitchell, you called us? We just saw each other this morning. Do you need something?"

Sherry chimed in, "Miss Mitchell, if you need anything, just say the word! Do you think the dirt on Katherine online isn't enough? We can make up more! None of us like her; we'd love to see her ruined!"

Scarlett's face was pale as paper. "Who are you? I don't know you."

Lillian and Sherry were stunned, looking at each other and then at Scarlett.

Lillian asked, "Aren't you Miss Mitchell?"

Sherry added, "We just met this morning at the park in the outer ring. You set the location!"

Scarlett frantically blinked at them, hinting. "I don't know you, and I've never met you. Don't mistake me for someone else!"

Lillian and Sherry, confused, didn't catch Scarlett's hint.

Sherry muttered, "Mom, is Miss Mitchell a twin? Was it the other one who met us this morning?"

Lillian frowned. "I've never heard she's a twin!"

At this moment, the people in the inner room had already made up their minds.

Vincent and Hellen were the first to come out, looking grim and disappointed at Scarlett.

Vincent said angrily, "So, Scarlett, you really did hire people to do those things online!"

Hellen was furious. "You've learned to deceive us! Who taught you to be like this?"
