Chapter 65 Did No One Really Love Her in the World
Sherry glanced at Katherine, about to say a few more words to suppress her, but she was interrupted by a sudden phone call.
It was a video call from Joshua.
Proudly waving her phone in front of Katherine, Sherry boasted, "See, it's Daddy calling me! You probably rarely get calls from Daddy, right? It shows that Daddy doesn't care about you, his illegitimate daughter!"
Katherine shrugged indifferently, "If you don't answer, he'll hang up."
Sherry put the call on speakerphone, intentionally letting Katherine listen in.
On the video call, Joshua and Lillian appeared together, smiling at their beloved star daughter.
Joshua asked with concern, "Sherry, how was work today? Have you eaten?"
Pouting, Sherry coquettishly replied, "Not yet! Daddy, I'm so busy with work, I don't have time to eat!"
Joshua frowned. "You can't skip meals! No matter how busy you are, you must eat. Your health is the most important!"
Lillian chimed in, "That's right, Sherry. Joshua is right! If you can't eat, at least have some milk first. If you starve yourself, both your dad and I will worry!"
Looking aggrieved, Sherry said, "I have no appetite when I see food. I just want to eat the chicken meatballs Dad makes."
Joshua indulgently said, "That's easy. I'll make them for you when you finish work!"
"But by the time I finish work, it will be very late! You'll be asleep..."
"It's okay! No matter how late, Dad will get up to make them for you!"
"Thank you, Dad. I know you love me the most!"
"Alright, we won't disturb your work anymore. Come home early tonight, and Dad will make chicken meatballs for you!"

Sherry suddenly turned the camera towards Katherine beside her.

"So that's it! Sherry, turn the camera back. I have a few words to say to your sister!"
Sherry complied and turned the camera back.
Joshua looked at his younger daughter in the video call, his face serious as he lectured, "Katherine, your sister gave you such a good job. You must do well! It's better than working as a maid for others. Instead of taking care of strangers, you should take care of your sister well so that both Lillian and I can rest assured!"
A faint hint of sarcasm crossed Katherine's lips as she obediently smiled, "I will thank Sherry."
After ending the call, Sherry felt a surge of superiority, gleefully saying, "See, I'm Daddy's darling. No matter what mistakes I make, Dad will forgive me! As for you, no matter how excellent, hardworking, or pleasing you are, Daddy doesn't like you!"
Katherine closed her eyes, ignoring her.
Unsatisfied, Sherry added, "Katherine, there's no one in this world who loves you!"
Katherine tightened her grip on the mineral water bottle in her hand, "So what? If no one loves me, should I die?"
Mockingly, Sherry laughed, "Someone like you, whether you live or die, no one cares. Even if you're a top student from the top tier, so what? In the end, you've fallen to the point of being my assistant. Katherine, I advise you to behave, or I'll have Dad kick you out of the Galatea Family!"
Without even lifting an eyelid, Katherine replied, "I'll wait."
