Chapter 503 You're Not Satisfied Again?
Alice saw that pleading was useless and became anxious. "Do you wish I'd go to the countryside and never come back so you can find another woman?" she accused, unreasonably.
Edwin frowned slightly. He responded, "Stop being unreasonable. This is the result of your own actions."
Alice, seemingly losing her mind, threw her head back and laughed hysterically. She said accusingly, "Edwin, stop pretending. You're the real pretender here! I've been married you for so many years, yet we've been sleeping in separate beds every day, you never touched me, not even once. I don't believe you have no physical needs! You must have a mistress. Listen up, I'm not Claire. You can't just get rid of me whenever you want!"
Hearing Alice's indecent words, Vincent became furious and completely impatient. "Someone, pack their things immediately and send them to the countryside! How dare they speak such shameless words in front of me!" he commanded angrily.
Several servants came over, helping the hysterical Alice who had collapsed on the ground.
One of the servants said, "Madam, please get up. We are taking you to the summer estate now."
Alice, losing her sanity, pushed them away. She yelled at them, "What summer estate? I'm not going! I'm not going anywhere! Get away from me! Who do you think you are?"
Seeing this, the servants looked helplessly at Vincent.
Vincent, having seen enough of Alice's shrewish behavior, snapped, "What are you all standing around for? Hurry up and take her away!"
With Vincent's order, the servants no longer held back. They restrained Alice and began to forcefully escort her out.
Scarlett, also being held by two servants, immediately started crying out to them, "Grandpa! Grandma! Dad! I don't want to go to the countryside! I don't want to. I was wrong. I know I was wrong."
Unfortunately, at this point, crying was useless. Tears might have evoked sympathy once, twice, or even more times, but eventually, they would only cause annoyance.
In the end, Scarlett, like Alice, was escorted out by the servants and sent to the summer estate in the countryside.
As Alice and Scarlett were being taken out of the Mitchell family mansion and were about to get into the car, they ran into Katherine, who had just returned from a press conference.
Alex's black car was parked by the roadside. Katherine got out of the car and saw the disheveled Alice and Scarlett, along with the servants loading their luggage.
She walked over slowly, with a slight smile and a hint of sarcasm as she questioned, "Are you going on a trip?"
Scarlett, despite her disheveled state, refused to yield in front of Katherine. She stood tall and glared at her. She vowed out of spite, "Katherine, you've ruined me today, but I won't let you off in the future!"
Katherine was indifferent to her threats. She retorted coldly, "Whether I ruined you or not is beside the point. But you never had anything to begin with. You were just occupying someone else's place and enjoying someone else's life, weren't you?"
Scarlett was taken aback, a hint of wariness in her eyes. "What do you mean by that?" she asked, anxiously.
Katherine smiled faintly as she replied "Nothing much, just hoping you understand that harming others will ultimately lead to getting harmed yourself. And those things that don't belong to you, even if they can't be returned to their rightful owner, will never be yours in the end."
Scarlett stared into Katherine's inscrutable eyes, feeling a vague sense of unease and fear.
At this moment, Alice, emotionally shattered, couldn't help but curse at Katherine, "Bitch, don't get too cocky! One day, I'll make sure you die by my hand!"
Katherine raised an eyebrow arrogantly, and taunted, "Oh really? I'll be waiting then."
The servants had finished loading the luggage.
"Please get in the car. Don't make Mr. Jackie Mitchell any angrier. Maybe in a while, you'll be brought back."
Alice and Scarlett gave Katherine one last glare before reluctantly getting into the car and heading to the countryside.
With Alice and Scarlett gone, the house was peacefuk.
Vincent looked at Edwin with frustration. "Look at you! You're over forty and can't even manage your wife and child. Look at what they've become!" he scolded relentlessly.
Edwin, who was looking at his phone, glanced up at Vincent with a look of indifference. He asked,"Are you dissatisfied again?"
Edwin's sarcastic tone made Vincent's blood pressure rise. "I'm talking about your issues, and you're questioning my satisfaction?" he retorted angrily.
Edwin calmly replied, "Wasn't it you who forced me to divorce Claire and marry Alice? Now you're dissatisfied with Alice? Fine, you can pick another daughter-in-law, and I'll marry her for you."
Vincent, his veins bulging in anger, pointed a trembling finger at his only son. "You..."
Hellen, seeing Vincent's distress, quickly intervened, "Edwin, say no more."
Edwin nodded in agreement and prepared to go upstairs.
Vincent, his anger rising, pointed at Edwin as he continued to head upstairs, and questioned him, "Are you still holding a grudge against me for what happened with Claire? I forced you to divorce her for your own good! She brought shame to the Mitchell family. Why would you keep such a woman? Our family can't tolerate someone like her!"
Edwin paused, then turned back after a few seconds of silence, and shot back, "I don't even care about that anymore. So why are you so anxious? Are you doing this for my sake or for your own pride?"
Vincent's blood pressure spiked, and he started coughing in anger. He remarked angrily, "You! You ungrateful son! Ungrateful."
Hellen, supporting her husband, sternly scolded both of them, "Enough, both of you! Every time Claire is mentioned, you two act like enemies! Edwin, you're over forty now, not a child. How can you still be so stubborn with your father?"
Edwin glanced at Vincent, said nothing, and with a cold look as if he were staring at a stranger, turned and walked upstairs.
At this moment, a servant announced, "Ms. Galatea is here!"
Vincent and Hellen were surprised by Katherine's arrival. They looked towards the door and saw Katherine standing quietly behind the servant. Her expression calm, and she had a faint smile, but her eyes were cold.
Edwin, who had just started heading up the stairs, stopped and turned back when he heard the servant announce Katherine's arrival. His indifferent gaze softened slightly upon seeing her.
Hellen, regaining her composure and unsure if Katherine had overheard their argument, forced a slightly awkward smile. "Katherine, what brings you here at this time?" she greeted awkwardly.
