Chapter 31 A Dream Lover!
Alexander got out of the car and followed Katherine into the restaurant.
Leander respectfully stood by the car, watching Alexander's back, feeling somewhat incredulous. After Katherine suggested having fondue, he called Alexander and didn't expect him to actually agree to cancel the reservation at the fancy restaurant and switch to fondue.
Alexander's attitude towards Katherine was indeed different. But would Alexander be used to fondue? Inside the restaurant, the air was filled with the rich aroma of cheese.
Katherine sat by the window, naturally raising her head to ask, "Sir, what would you like to eat?" Alexander, sitting across from her, simply nodded, "Anything is fine."
Katherine then ordered some signature dishes. The tables in the restaurant were placed close together, and the voices of the people at the neighboring table chatting and eating could be heard very clearly.
"Look, he's so handsome!"
"He's really handsome!"
"Is the girl across from him his girlfriend? She's also very pretty, but she looks much younger than that man!"
"She could be his sister!" "I'm so envious; I wish I had such a handsome brother, too!" "I'm different; I don't want a brother; I only want a husband as handsome as him!"
A handsome man in a well-fitted suit, exuding an extraordinary and noble temperament, sitting in the noisy restaurant appeared out of place and naturally caught the attention of the female customers at the nearby tables.
Alexander didn't like the noise and looked around the noisy environment with a serious expression.
"Isn't there a quieter private room here?" Katherine chuckled, "Fondue is meant to be enjoyed in a lively atmosphere!"
Alexander looked at her, not understanding and not wanting to understand, so he let it be.
Katherine cheerfully handed the menu over, "I've made my selection. Would you like to add anything?"
Alexander took the menu and handed it directly to the waitress, saying in a low voice, "Add a bottle of mineral water."
The young waitress was mesmerized by the man's handsome face. It was only when Alexander gave her an impatient look that she snapped out of it, quickly took the menu, and awkwardly smiled, "Alright, please wait, sir."
After the waitress with a flushed face left, Katherine took out her phone, played games, and waited for the dishes to arrive.
After all, she and Alexander didn't have much common topics to talk about. Suddenly, there was a sound of tapping on the window! Katherine turned her head to look and saw Teresa standing outside the restaurant, her face pressed against the glass, looking at them with a surprised and delighted expression.
Katherine also noticed that beside Teresa, there were two other people: the glamorous curly-haired woman who was with Alexander at Breaking Dawn Bar yesterday and the internet-addicted teenager who seemed to have tripped her.
Before long, Teresa excitedly ran into the hot pot restaurant to find the two of them. "I thought I was seeing things! It's really you! I didn't expect you to come to this kind of small restaurant!"
Alexander looked at Katherine and said, "She wants to eat."
His calm tone made the teenager and the curly-haired woman who entered after Teresa look surprised at the same time... Because she wanted to eat fondue, he condescended to accompany her.
Katherine was truly extraordinary to Alexander. Teresa looked at Katherine with admiration and said, "Katherine, only you could make him come here!"
Katherine smiled wryly. It wasn't that she had any special ability, but Alexander needed her to cooperate and put on a show of affection in front of Sandra, so he generously invited her to dinner.
Alexander glanced at Teresa coldly and said, "You should stay at home and reflect on your actions. Who allowed you to come out?"
Teresa stuck out her tongue and replied, "I don't want to stay at home and reflect! I've been cheated on, and my marriage didn't even happen. I'm already sad enough! How can you bear to make me stay at home and reflect for real?"
Alexander ignored her and looked at the curly-haired woman and the teenager beside her. Sunny looked at Alexander with admiration and greeted, "Alexander." Alexander nodded and asked, "Why are the three of you together? Where did you go?"
The curly-haired woman put on a gentle smile brushed her hair behind her ear in a charming manner, and walked up, saying, "Alex, Sunny, and I went out to buy something and ran into Teresa at the mall ahead."
Alexander nodded and didn't say anything more.
The curly-haired woman looked at the dishes on their table, which seemed untouched, and said warmly, "Alex, it seems like you've just started eating. We were also looking for a place to eat, so why don't we eat together?"
Alexander didn't respond and looked at Katherine. Katherine was focused on her meal. When she noticed Alexander looking at her, she immediately understood and said, "Sure, I don't mind!"
Alexander was treating, and she was here to eat, so she didn't care about anything else. After Katherine expressed her agreement, Alexander nodded and said, "Please, have a seat."
The curly-haired woman, observing the interaction between the two, felt a twinge of displeasure. Teresa sat affectionately next to Katherine while the curly-haired woman casually took the seat next to Alexander. Since there were four people, Sunny had to sit on an extra chair brought over by the waiter.
After adding some dishes, the curly-haired woman smiled and greeted Katherine, "Hello, Katherine, I'm Sophie, a longtime friend of Alex."
Katherine took a sip of water and nodded, "Hello." Teresa turned to Katherine and asked, "Katherine, I forgot to ask you yesterday, how did you become so good at dice throwing? Did you learn it before? You're really amazing! You're my goddess!"
Before Katherine could respond, Sunny, who was beside her, disdainfully said, "She's just good at throwing dice! That doesn't make her a goddess, Teresa. Your taste is really strange!"
Teresa frowned unhappily and glared at Sunny, "Katherine is my goddess; what's it to you? Who is your goddess with such great taste?"
Sunny proudly lifted her head and said, "My goddess is one of the top two hackers in the world! In the future, she will be my wife, too! I will definitely pursue her and dote on her!" Katherine heard this and almost choked! She almost sprayed out the beef she had just put in her mouth.
Teresa panicked, "Katherine, what's wrong?" Alexander, who was chatting with Sophie, heard Katherine coughing and quickly turned to her, furrowing his brows. He handed her a tissue and said, "What's the rush? No one is taking it from you." His tone was stern as if he was scolding a child. Sophie was taken aback. She had never seen Alexander take care of a woman like this before! Sunny frowned and looked disdainful, "She's pretending!" Sophie hurriedly explained, "Sunny, you can't say that! Katherine really choked!" Sunny didn't believe it, "She can even choke while eating! I think she's just pretending!" Sophie sighed helplessly. Katherine wiped her mouth and stood up, saying, "Sorry, I need to go to the restroom." Sophie also got up and said, "Katherine, I'll accompany you!"
