Chapter 107 Hang Out with Me
Alex handed her a tissue, his tone carrying a hint of parental exasperation and sternness. He lectured, "Slow down. No one's going to take it from you."
Katherine struggled to swallow the meat in her mouth, took the tissue to wipe her mouth, and then awkwardly turned her face away from him. "Alex! Can you not bring up what happened last night?"
"Why?" Alex raised an eyebrow, a mocking smile in his eyes. "You know how to be shy!"
Katherine twitched her mouth and retorted, "I'm not shy. It's just too embarrassing to recall!"
Alex darkened his eyes, staring at her for two seconds before curling his lips into a teasing smile. "Ms. Galatea, you were so selfless last night, doing a good deed. You should be savoring the memory!"
Hearing his teasing words, Katherine's cheeks turned red, her eyes flickering with shame.
Alex was clearly mocking her on purpose!
Heartless jerk!
If it weren't for saving him yesterday, she wouldn't have done that.
Katherine scrunched up in embarrassment, her ears turning red. She even lost her appetite for the pasta she had carefully cooked.
Alex curled his lips slightly and stopped teasing her, saying seriously, "What are your plans for tomorrow? If not, come with me to Zephyr Meadows."
With the topic changed, Katherine felt more comfortable looking at him, frowning in confusion, and asking, "Zephyr Meadows? Do I have to go?"
Seeing her reluctance, Alex asked, "Do you have other plans for tomorrow?"
Katherine shook her head and explained, "No, but I don't want to go out."
Alex said in a deep voice, "If you have no plans, come with me. Staying at home is just sleeping."
This wasn't asking for her opinion. It was clearly just informing her!
Fine, during the cooperation period, it’d better to cooperate as much as possible!
Katherine sighed. "Alex, do you need me to act with you again?"
Alex's eyes narrowed coldly. "At this point, is acting all you can think about?"
Katherine took a bite of her pasta and then snorted sarcastically. "What else would you want me to do? Are you asking me out on a real date?"
Katherine sure knew how to choose her words.
Alex remained calm, picked up the cup on the table, and took a sip of water. "Real or fake, haven't we already done it?"
Katherine choked again and shouted, "Alex, you... Stop bringing it up!"
Even with Katherine's bold personality, she couldn't match Alex's shamelessness!
Katherine's face, which had just started to return to normal, turned red again because of Alex's words.
Seeing her face turn red, Alex furrowed his brows with a hint of concern. He reached out and gently patted her back, afraid she might choke on her food.
"I won't bring it up again. Get up early tomorrow morning, and I'll take you out," he said.
Katherine was stunned, wondering if she had heard wrong.
Alex was really unpredictable!
"Alright, I got it!" she then answered.
After agreeing, Katherine focused on eating her pasta and stopped talking to Alex!
After dinner, Katherine went back to her room.
Alex went to the study to handle some work. By the time he finished, it was already late at night.
When he returned to his room to rest, he found the bedroom door locked.
Katherine had dared to lock him out!
The veins on Alex's forehead bulged. He could have called someone to unlock the door, but after thinking about it, he decided against it.
Katherine was probably already asleep. There was no need to wake her up. Alex pinched the bridge of his nose, his face dark as he returned to the study to spend the night.
Early the next morning.
Katherine groggily got up, washed up, and quickly got herself ready before following Alex downstairs and into the car.
In the car, she tilted her head and fell asleep on the seat again.
After all, there was nothing to talk about with Alex while awake!
After more than two hours of driving, they arrived at Zephyr Meadows.
As soon as Katherine got out of the car, a dark figure came running and jumping towards her.
"Katherine!" Teresa called out.
Katherine was hugged enthusiastically by Teresa, which woke her up quite a bit!
"Katherine, we haven't seen each other for a long time! I missed you so much!" she continued.
Katherine smiled helplessly and replied, "Yeah, it's been a while!"
Teresa affectionately wrapped her arms around Katherine's neck, almost hanging on her.
Alex looked down at Teresa's overly familiar behavior and said sternly, "Get up, don't crush her."
Teresa, who was afraid of Alex, reluctantly let go but pouted and frowned. "Alex, are you calling me fat?"
Alex gave her a cold glance, ignoring her comment, and asked sternly, "What are you doing here? Who did you come with?"
Teresa replied, "I saw Hilton's Twitter about vacationing here. Since my pony is also kept here, I came to join in the fun!"
Alex frowned, then asked, "Does your mom know?"
Teresa, feeling a bit guilty, turned to Katherine instead, asking with concern, "Katherine, you look dazed. Didn't you sleep well?"
Katherine nodded. "I got up too early and didn't get enough sleep."
Teresa pouted. "Alex is really something. Knowing you had to get up early to come to the stables, he still didn't let you sleep well last night!"
Both Alex and Katherine fell silent.
"Katherine, come on! Let's ride some horses. You'll wake up quickly!" she added.
With that, Teresa grabbed Katherine's hand and ran towards the stables.
Alex pinched the bridge of his nose and followed them in at a leisurely pace.

In the outdoor rest area, Sophie, Sunny, Hilton, Issac, and Jonathan, all dressed in equestrian attire, were sitting together under the sunshade, drinking and chatting.
Teresa ran over, waving and excitedly shouting, "Hey! They're here! Alex and Katherine are coming!"
Hearing this, Hilton and the others looked over and saw Teresa pulling Katherine along. Alex followed not far behind them, walking steadily and unhurriedly.
Jonathan gave Katherine a warm smile.
Sophie, dressed in expensive equestrian gear, had her meticulously styled wavy hair tied into a high ponytail to keep it from getting messed up while riding.
Sophie, with light makeup on, looked Katherine up and down, noticing her plain T-shirt and jeans. Sophie showed a hint of superiority and sympathy, thinking that Alex didn't treat Katherine that well. Otherwise, he wouldn't allow her to dress so simply.
Sunny lit up his eyes when he saw Katherine, but his brows furrowed awkwardly as if deep in thought.
Hilton stood up and joked, "Alex, you missed Sunny's treatment last night!"
Alex walked over to stand beside Katherine. "It's not too late. We can have another one today."
