Chapter 955 Katherine's Revelation
The four children looked at Alex, feeling sorry for Katherine's hard work.
Edith tilted her head in frustration, "Then Dad, can you promise us not to let those bodyguards follow us anymore?"
Alex glanced at the row of bodyguards standing behind the children and signaled with a nod.
The three bodyguards immediately retreated to a distance in an orderly manner.
Seeing this, the children finally relaxed and felt liberated.
Edith turned to Charles and observed him seriously from head to toe, "Charles, you're hurt. Are you okay? Does it hurt?"
Charles shook his head and patted Edith's head. "I'm fine! Dad and Mom saved me in time, it's just a small injury, no big deal!"
George said, "I knew it, Charles is the bravest! You would definitely come back safe and sound!"
Julian nodded, "This won't happen again. Our family can be together now!"
Seeing the four children caring for each other, Katherine felt very gratified. She walked over and held Alex's hand, their fingers interlocked, cherishing this hard-won reunion.
Fiona said, "Alright! Alex, Katherine, let's go inside. Grandpa and Grandma are waiting for you!"
"Okay."
Under Fiona's urging, Katherine and Alex took the four children into the house, and the family finally had a good chat!
Katherine recounted the events to the two elders, including the final outcomes of Scarlett and Sophia.
After hearing this, Sandra angrily cursed Sophia and Scarlett for half an hour, then decided not to mention those unpleasant women anymore to avoid ruining the family's harmonious atmosphere.
"Katherine, now that Alex is back and those potential dangers are gone, I think it's time for some good news in the family. You and Alex got together in a hurry back then, why not have another wedding to celebrate?"
Hearing that Alex and Katherine were going to have a wedding, the four children were more excited than the other!
Edith shouted, "Wow! Awesome! I can attend my own parents' wedding!"
George clapped, "At Dad and Mom's wedding, I'll be the most handsome little ring bearer!"
Julian jumped, "I want to be a ring bearer too!"
Charles added, "Then I'll be Dad's best man!"
Fiona couldn't help but laugh as she rubbed Charles' face, "Silly boy, you're too young to be your dad's best man!"
Charles pouted in frustration.
Alex wrapped his arm around Katherine's waist, leaned his forehead against hers, and asked softly, "Katherine, what do you think? Want to marry me again?"
Katherine blushed. She knew Sandra meant well, but there were some things she didn't want to hide from the elders.
After a moment of contemplation, Katherine spoke, "Grandma, actually, I am the lost daughter of the Mitchell family, originally named Laura. I know the Melville family and the Mitchell family had conflicts before, and the two families couldn't possibly marry. Although I haven't officially returned to the Mitchell family, I must let you know my identity to avoid you feeling deceived later."
Katherine's revelation indeed shocked Jackie and Sandra. The two elders looked at each other and then smiled.
Sandra turned to Katherine with a kind smile, "Katherine, it's indeed surprising that you're from the Mitchell family, but we've seen how you've waited for Alex all these years. We know what kind of person you are. Now, it doesn't matter if you're from the Mitchell family or even if you come from a troubled background. The Melville family only recognizes you as Alex's wife!"
Jackie nodded in agreement.
Hearing Sandra's words, Katherine felt very touched and relieved. She had thought her identity might create more obstacles between her and Alex, but it seemed she had worried too much!
Sandra happily said, "Then it's settled! Jackie and I will pick a good date and throw you a grand wedding, letting everyone in Janetrick know how excellent and beautiful you are as a member of the Melville family!"
Katherine smiled and didn't refuse Sandra's kindness.
Alex hugged Katherine tightly and whispered in her ear, "Katherine, this time we're not just partners; you're really going to marry me!"
Katherine's cheeks flushed, "Let go of me, Grandpa and Grandma are watching!"
The two elders were delighted to see them so in love.
Fiona led the four children in cheering, looking forward to the grand wedding!
Thus, Jackie and Sandra picked a good date, and Alex and Katherine began preparing for the wedding.
On the day Katherine and Alex went to choose the wedding venue, they received a call from Sunny, who insisted on joining them to check out the venue. Unable to resist his persistent requests, Katherine told him the address.
As soon as Sunny arrived, the atmosphere became lively, and he talked a lot!
Katherine looked at Sunny with a bit of disdain, "Why are you suddenly interested in checking out the wedding venue?"
Sunny scratched the back of his head, "Katherine, you saw right through me! Actually, I want to propose to Ambrosia at your wedding, so I'm here to check out the venue first!"
Katherine knew Sunny had an ulterior motive and smirked, "You sure know how to seize an opportunity! Proposing at our wedding, you don't even need to decorate the venue, do you? But do you think it's okay to steal our spotlight?"
Sunny said seriously, "Katherine, I'm not doing this to save money or effort. I think Ambrosia will be in a good mood at your wedding and more likely to say yes! And I won't steal your spotlight; I'll propose after your ceremony! Katherine, please give me a chance!"
Katherine rolled her eyes and looked at Alex, "Alex, what do you think? Should we let Sunny use our venue?"
Alex raised an eyebrow but hadn't spoken yet.
Sunny, afraid Alex would refuse, emphasized, "Alex, we're family now!"
Alex snorted, "As long as Katherine agrees, I have no objections."
Sunny beamed and looked eagerly at Katherine, "Katherine, Alex said he has no objections, so you must not have any either. Let's settle it!"
Katherine crossed her arms, "Did I say I agreed?"
Sunny frowned, "Katherine, are you really going to turn me down?"
Seeing his pitiful look, Katherine said angrily, "You can save on the venue, but don't skimp on the ring. Make sure to get Ambrosia a big diamond ring, or you won't get past me!"
Sunny's eyes lit up, "No problem! Katherine, I've already ordered the ring, it's as big as a pigeon egg. Even without you saying, I'll give Ambrosia the best one in the world!"
