"Found this medical report on a trash can lid outside. Scarlett must've left it. Says all her health indicators are normal, so the saffron hasn't affected her. Isn't that great news?"
Everyone was stunned, except Scarlett.
Scarlett's face went pale. She knew the report Katherine found was the gynecological one she had thrown away.
Sunny rolled his eyes. "Katherine, seriously? Scarlett already showed Bernard her medical report. We know she's fine. What's the big deal? This is boring."
Katherine feigned surprise. "Really? Scarlett already showed Bernard?"
Scarlett snapped back and nodded. "Yes, Katherine, I showed Bernard. He knows I'm fine, and our parents are relieved."
Katherine raised an eyebrow. "Even if he saw the report you brought back, he hasn't seen the one I found."
Scarlett, feeling guilty, quickly said, "The doctor told me everything's fine. Losing one paper doesn't change that. Thanks for finding it, Katherine. I'll keep it with my other reports."
She reached for the report, but Katherine pulled it back.
"Scarlett, I bet you haven't even seen this report, or you wouldn't have said you could never get pregnant."
Scarlett's face turned even paler. "Katherine, I don't know what you're talking about! Just give me the report!"
She reached out again, but Katherine held it high.
"Why are you in such a hurry? This report has a big surprise for you!"
Scarlett panicked. "What surprise? Katherine, stop messing with my family and give it to me."
Katherine smiled. "Alright, I won't mess with your family anymore. I'll announce the surprise right now!“
”Hey everyone, I found a gynecological report that says Scarlett's reproductive functions are normal, and she's even healthier and more fertile than most women! Isn't that a big surprise for Scarlett and the Mitchell family? ”?"
Everyone frowned and stared at Scarlett.
Normal reproductive functions? Healthy? Fertile?
These shouldn't be on Scarlett's report, but they were!
Alice panicked, realizing why Scarlett was so hesitant about getting a check-up. She was scared her years of pretending to be infertile would be exposed, and now it was even worse.
Scarlett's face looked awful, but she kept up the act. "Katherine, what are you talking about? I..."
Bernard walked up, took the report, and saw all the indicators were normal. His pupils contracted, and anger surged through him.
Thinking about all the situations over the years and Scarlett's suspicious reactions, it all made sense.
So, all these years, Scarlett had no infertility issues; it was a lie to gain Alex's sympathy?
To win a man's heart, she deceived him and the Mitchell family! This was the sister he had spoiled? Her methods were despicable!
Throwing the report in front of Scarlett, Bernard coldly asked, "How do you explain this?"
Scarlett, feeling guilty, didn't know what to say. She nervously looked at the report that could ruin her image and suddenly found a loophole, immediately coming up with an idea.
"Bernard, this report doesn't seem to be mine!"
Bernard's expression froze, and he squinted. "Not yours?"
Scarlett put on an innocent face. "Bernard, look, this report doesn't have a name on it. How can you prove it's mine?"
She then looked at Katherine with a wronged expression, seemingly angry. "Katherine, where did you find someone else's gynecological report and claim it's mine? Don't I know my own body?"
Bernard took the report back and looked at it again. Indeed, there was no name on it, so he also looked at Katherine. "Katherine, where did this report come from?"
Katherine calmly said, "I already said. I found it on the lid of a trash can."
Scarlett, hearing that Katherine had no evidence, became more confident. "Katherine, you can't just pick up a report from the trash and pin it on me. How can you be so careless?"
Katherine looked at her. "Aren't you very regretful that you can't have children? Why do I feel like you're not happy at all to find out you can?"
Scarlett's eyes flickered with guilt, but knowing Katherine had no evidence, she confidently said, "Yes! I do want to have children! But I know my own body, and a random report can't change that! Katherine, if you're doing this to comfort me, thank you! If you have other intentions, please leave me alone!"
Katherine squinted her eyes. "No!"
Scarlett's tears welled up again. "Katherine, what do you want? I know you don't like me because I'm Alex's savior. But you're with Alex now, aren't you? Please stop targeting me and don't make our family chaotic, okay?"
