Chapter 775 Really Unaware or Just Pretending
Fiona said, "Yeah! That Jonathan has bad intentions towards Katherine, he's so annoying!"
Teresa said, "Alex has been out of touch for three years. We need to consider Katherine's happiness too! Jonathan is a good guy, and he really likes Katherine. The key point is that he doesn't mind that Katherine has children, which already makes him better than most men! If Katherine is willing to give Jonathan a chance, I wouldn't oppose it!"
Fiona was very upset, "You don't oppose it, but I do!"
Teresa was still at the counseling room and didn't have the time to deal with Fiona's objections. "Even if you oppose it, it's not up to us. Katherine will make her own decision! Alright, I have to go, I have some things to take care of here!"
With that, Teresa quickly hung up the phone.
"Fuck!" Fiona listened to the busy tone on the other end of the line, helplessly put away her phone, and reluctantly went to fly kites with Charles and Edith.
In the Hotel.
In the luxury suite, Trevor was in the living room watching cartoons with George.
While making coffee in the kitchen, Sophia kept observing the boy next to Trevor.
After a while, room service brought up some fruit slices, and she took them over for Trevor and the kid to eat.
The cartoon on TV was one Julian had never watched before. Sophia's eyes shifted, and she used a fork to pick up a small piece of watermelon and fed it to George, smiling as she asked, "Julian, why are you suddenly watching this cartoon? Didn't you only watch Machine Man before?"
George, who was engrossed in the show, turned his head and glared at Sophia for interrupting him: "I'm tired of those. Can't I watch something else?"
Sophia's smile froze, and she almost lost her composure. "Of course you can! Mommy was just curious."
George refused the fruit she offered and turned back to watch TV.
Sophia ground her teeth in frustration, picked up a toy from the toy box, and casually asked, "Julian, do you remember who bought you this toy?"
George was annoyed by Sophia's voice, glanced at the toy, and said, "Wasn't it you?"
Who else could it be? Trevor couldn't go out!
Sophia was about to say something when Trevor, sitting in the wheelchair, spoke first, "Alright, he is focused on watching TV, don't disturb him."
Hearing Trevor also seemed to find her annoying, Sophia frowned and looked at Trevor, "Trevor, I'm worried that watching TV for too long will be bad for his eyes!"
Trevor replied indifferently, "He won't watch for too long. He just promised me he would rest after this episode."
Sophia's face showed a hint of embarrassment, realizing she might be overstepping.
But then she thought, how could caring for the child be overstepping? She was the lady of the house!
After thinking for a moment, Sophia moved closer to Trevor and whispered, "Trevor, I have a suspicion that Julian seems different from before. Do you feel the same?"
Hearing this, Trevor looked at her, his eyes deep and complex, then glanced at George.
"What's different? I haven't noticed anything."
Sophia stared into Trevor's eyes, unable to detect any deception, feeling that Trevor genuinely didn't notice any changes in the child.
"Maybe I'm overthinking it!" Sophia smiled, then offered Trevor a piece of fruit, "Trevor, have some fruit; it's good for your health!"
Trevor nodded, taking the fork from Sophia.
Seeing Trevor accept her offering, Sophia was pleased and relaxed, standing up, "You two enjoy the fruit, I'll see what to make for lunch. It's the weekend, and I have no plans to go out!"
Trevor softly thanked her, and only after seeing Sophia walk away did he put the fruit back on the plate without eating it.
Sophia didn't notice Trevor's action, heading straight to the kitchen to find ingredients.
At that moment, her phone rang!
While grabbing ingredients, Sophia answered the phone, "Hello?"
On the other end was Aubrey Hagen, her father's most trusted aide. "Ms. Coleman, this is Aubrey."
Sophia instinctively glanced towards the living room, confirming Trevor wasn't paying attention, and replied softly, "What did you find out?"
Aubrey said, "It's confirmed, the child with you now is not the original Julian."
Sophia's eyebrows furrowed, "What's going on? Tell me everything!"
Aubrey replied, "Three years ago, Katherine didn't just have one child; she had triplets, two boys and a girl. When you and Mr. Turner took Julian to the park to fly kites, Katherine also took her two children to the park. Based on what you said, Julian's behavior changed significantly after that day. I deduce that you and Katherine unknowingly swapped the children!"
Yes! The kid had been more resistant to her since that day.
Sophia was shocked. Triplets? Swapped?
No wonder! She felt Julian had changed, but his appearance hadn't, leaving her puzzled!
It turned out Katherine had triplets, and she had another son who looked exactly like Julian!
Back then, she thought she had everything she wanted with Trevor and had taken Katherine's child, believing she had won completely!
So, she didn't pay much attention to Katherine and the Melville family. She never expected that after her people successfully stole the first child, Katherine gave birth to two more!
She really was prolific!
Now it was clear, the child with her was definitely not Julian!
The key question was, how could Trevor, who knew Julian so well, not notice the difference?
Was he really unaware, or just pretending?
