Chapter 796 I'm Envious

Teresa gazed at him, "But you won't even give me a single promise. How am I supposed to believe that you're serious about me now?"

Frank didn't avoid her gaze. "Teresa, you know me better than that. I used to make promises to women without thinking twice. Words are easy, but I don't want to deceive you with empty promises. I'll prove to you with my actions that I'm serious about us."

Teresa blinked blankly, almost convinced by him, "Will you really marry me?"

Frank smiled, "If you have the courage, I absolutely will. Do you?"

Teresa's hands secretly clenched into fists, "I-I do!"

Frank got up from the single sofa and moved to sit beside her, "So when are we getting married?"

His sudden closeness made Teresa nervous, but she didn't want to back down anymore. She frowned and said, "T-tomorrow morning. You have one night to regret it!"

Frank looked at his watch, "If the marriage registry office wasn't closed right now, I'd show you that I don't need a whole night."

Teresa turned her face away, avoiding his gaze. "Wait until we actually register the marriage tomorrow morning; then, you can say that to me!"

Actually, Teresa still didn't believe that Frank would go through with it. She had seen his carefree side and knew how much he valued his freedom.

A man who loved freedom and hated being tied down, how could he allow himself to be trapped by marriage?

He was just saying it now!

Frank didn't say much more, just smiled, "By the way, Ambrosia just called and said she and Katherine are planning to take the three kids out for dinner and asked if we wanted to join them."

Teresa realized, "Did you tell Ms. Hawthorne over the phone that you were with me?"

Frank thought for a moment, a sly smile spreading across his face. "Yeah, something like that!"

Teresa frowned, "Where are they? I also want to see Katherine!"

Frank nodded, "Okay, then after we finish eating at home, we'll go find them."

Teresa looked puzzled, "Aren't we supposed to join them for dinner? Why eat at my place first? Can't we just go directly?"

Frank shook his head, "Leaving directly wouldn't be good. Your parents worked so hard to make dinner for me. If we leave without eating, they'll be disappointed."

After picking up the three kids, Katherine took them to a restaurant.

Katherine, Ambrosia, and Sunny each carried a child into the restaurant, with Jonathan following them empty-handed. He had wanted to carry a child, too, but didn't get the chance.

As soon as they sat down, Katherine was the first to order. She seemed impatient, eager to get the meal over with as quickly as possible.

She knew what Ambrosia liked to eat and ordered for her as well.

As for Sunny, he liked whatever Ambrosia liked, so he had no say in the matter.

After ordering, Katherine handed the menu to Jonathan, "Order whatever you want. I'm treating you today."

Jonathan took the menu with a smile, "That's so nice of you! Then I won't hold back!"

He then added a few dishes, handed the menu back to the waiter, and waved to signal the waiter to start preparing the food.

Edith leaned against Katherine, looking up with a troubled expression, "Mommy, we're not eating at home again today? Great-grandma will be sad!"

Katherine understood what Edith meant. Sandra always looked forward to them coming home for dinner, having carefully prepared the meal.

She gently patted Edith's head. "It's okay. You can eat a little less now and save some room to eat with Sandra when we get home."

Edith looked troubled, "But I saw you ordered a lot of my favorite dishes. What should I do?"

Katherine smiled. "It's up to you!"

Edith frowned, worried.

If she ate her fill here, she wouldn't be able to enjoy the meal with Sandra later.

Finally, Edith made up her mind. When the food arrived, she would just take a small bite of each dish to taste, making sure not to eat too much!

Julian sat next to Katherine, a bit more relaxed than before, but still not very talkative, especially around strangers.

Ambrosia and Sunny were separated by Charles, who was sitting in a baby seat, which made Sunny a bit unhappy, even though he liked Charles too.

So, he cleared his throat naturally, "Ambrosia, Charles said he wants to sit next to Katherine. Why don't you come sit next to me?"

Charles widened his eyes, very confused. When did he say that? Sunny was lying!

Ambrosia was sending the restaurant location to Frank when she heard Sunny. She looked at him and then at the bewildered Charles, understanding everything.

"Charles, do you want to switch seats with me?" Ambrosia asked.

Charles was about to shake his head when Sunny secretly poked him, so he quickly changed to nodding!

Actually, Charles thought he was old enough to eat on his own. It didn't matter if he didn't sit next to Katherine.

Seeing Charles nod, Ambrosia glanced at the serious-looking Sunny, said nothing, and got up to switch seats with Charles, moving his baby seat next to Katherine.

As soon as she sat down in her new seat, Sunny's hand reached over from under the table and rested on her leg.

Ambrosia frowned, looked down at the hand, and slapped it away like swatting a fly, trying to make him behave!

But to her surprise, Sunny took advantage of her slap to grab her hand, and instead of letting go, he intertwined their fingers and put her hand in his jacket pocket!

Ambrosia's lips twitched. She started to find Sunny childish, like a mischievous kid causing trouble behind the teacher's back!

However, she didn't bother to refuse anymore. Tugging with Sunny was a waste of time, so she let him hold her hand while she continued to scroll through her phone with the other.

Katherine didn't notice their subtle actions, as her attention was on her three kids, but Jonathan did!

He squinted and smiled, sighing, "I'm so envious!"

Katherine raised an eyebrow and glanced at him, "What are you suddenly envious of?"

Jonathan looked at Ambrosia and Sunny, "Envious of loving couples!"
