Chapter 963 I Have Evidence
Everything was packed, and it was just one suitcase.
Christina was about to leave with her suitcase when Renee grabbed her arm. "Christina, are you out of your mind? Have some self-respect, will you? With your looks, finding a man to marry isn't that hard. Why do you have to be a homewrecker?"
"Mom, do you really think I'm the kind of person who would be a homewrecker?"
Christina's angry glare startled Renee. Christina had never looked at her like that before. Had Christina's attitude changed because she found a wealthy man to support her?
Taking advantage of Renee's distraction, Christina pushed her hand away and quickly went downstairs with her suitcase.
As soon as she got downstairs, Christina ran into Jared and Cheryl.
Cheryl looked at her with her suitcase and sneered sarcastically, "Dad, I told you Christina was being a homewrecker! Look, she's even taking her luggage now, she's moving out to be fully supported by someone!"
Provoked by Cheryl, Jared looked at Christina with even more disdain.
"Christina, do you have to disgrace the Russell family completely to be satisfied?"
Jared's face was stern, full of regret, "If I had known Renee was carrying a daughter, I wouldn't have let her give birth to you!"
Christina had heard such words many times over the years. She was never the child her parents had hoped for.
If they hadn't thought Renee was carrying a boy, Christina wouldn't have been born at all.
She had endured it all these years.
But this time, after what Cheryl did to her last night, and her parents still defending Cheryl, Christina couldn't forgive them and didn't want to endure it anymore.
"Dad, Mom, I am moving out, and I came back to pack my things and to tell you something."
Seeing that Christina seemed about to reveal the truth, Cheryl panicked.
She quickly gave Renee a look, signaling her to stop Christina!
Renee quickly understood Cheryl's meaning.
Because Christina didn't come home last night, Jared hadn't spoken a word to her all night. Renee didn't want to anger Jared further because of her disappointing daughter.
"You've decided to move out, what else do you have to say to us? If you respected our opinions, you wouldn't have done this!"
Renee didn't want to hear what Christina had to say, afraid she would say something to further anger Jared.
Jared didn't intend to listen either and started to walk upstairs.
Christina quickly rushed over, blocking Jared with her arm. "Dad, Mom, the truth is, Cheryl took me to a bar last night, got me drunk, and tried to hand me over to a boss in exchange for resources. I didn't become a homewrecker, and it wasn't me entangled with a man!"
"Christina, what nonsense are you talking about?" Cheryl panicked, quickly pulling Christina away, "Don't make up lies to clear your name and falsely accuse me!"
"Making up lies? Cheryl, have you forgotten what you did last night?" Christina took out a USB drive given to her by the bar owner, "Even if you forgot, I have evidence! Do you dare to let everyone see it?"
For the first time in years, Christina was fiercely resisting Cheryl, leaving Cheryl momentarily stunned.
Perhaps because she had a place to go for the next year, Christina wasn't as afraid of being kicked out of the Russell family.
Hearing Christina say she had evidence, Cheryl's face grew even more panicked, her tone softening, "Christina, you've already made a mistake. Don't make it worse! I think if you admit it, Dad and Mom will forgive you!"
However, the more Cheryl tried to stop her, the more it showed that Christina's evidence was indeed strong.
Christina turned to Jared. "Dad, I'm also your daughter. Won't you even give me a chance to prove my innocence?"
For the first time in years, Jared seriously looked at Christina. She seemed different from before.
"Alright, I'll give you a chance. Show me your evidence."
Hearing Jared wanted to see Christina's evidence, Cheryl quickly grabbed his arm. "Dad, Christina must be lying. Don't be..."
"Enough." Jared didn't like Christina but was somewhat fond of Cheryl. But this time, he didn't listen to her, "Cheryl, even if she's lying, she can't fool me. Let's see what evidence she has."
With Jared's decision, Cheryl couldn't say anything more, glaring fiercely at Christina, hoping she was just bluffing.
The four of them sat in the living room, and Christina brought out a computer, plugged in the USB drive, and played the first video. "This is the surveillance video from last night. Cheryl said she was heartbroken and asked me to accompany her to the bar. Once there, she kept making me drink. Dad, Mom, see for yourselves if I'm telling the truth!"
Cheryl was stunned, not expecting Christina to be able to get the bar's surveillance footage!
But she quickly reacted, putting on a pitiful look and explaining, "Dad, Mom, I didn't lie to Christina. I was really upset last night! You know, I liked a celebrity in the entertainment industry, but he recently announced he has a girlfriend. I was very sad and just wanted Christina to keep me company."
"Yes, Cheryl told us about it. She always liked some male celebrity, what's his name..." Renee, wanting Cheryl to speak well of her in front of Jared, immediately stood by Cheryl's side, "Cheryl was just sad, Christina, what's wrong with keeping her company?"
Seeing her biological mother comforting Cheryl, Christina felt both heartbroken and ironic. As a child, she had often envied Cheryl.
Renee had never comforted her like that.
"If it was just about keeping her company, I wouldn't mind. But Cheryl set me up, sent me to a man's room to use me for resources, and falsely accused me of being a homewrecker. Isn't that too much!"
With that, Christina played the second video, which clearly showed Cheryl and Hudson hugging and laughing, completely wrapped up in each other.
In the video, Cheryl was smiling brightly, showing no signs of being forced, with Hudson's hand around her waist.
Renee blinked in disbelief, looking at Cheryl in shock.
Cheryl clenched her fists, glaring at Christina.
Christina met her gaze, trying to suppress her anger. "Dad, Cheryl accused me of being a homewrecker without any evidence. But this video clearly shows Cheryl making me drink. Dad, do you still not believe me?"
