Chapter 768 He's Just as Annoying as Before

'Alex's way of talking is just as annoying as it used to be!' Katherine thought.

Trevor's relaxed gaze suddenly tightened because he heard footsteps outside the bedroom.

"She's coming, you need to leave! If you want to strangle me next time, I definitely won't run!" Trevor urged in a low voice.

Katherine also heard the footsteps outside, but she wasn't in a hurry. She said slowly, "When you remember who I am, I'll come to strangle you!"

As she said this, the bedroom doorknob was already being turned from the outside.

No doubt, it was Sophia!

Trevor looked towards the door, his pupils tightened, and when he looked back at the woman standing by the bed, she was already gone.

Only a gust of wind remained!

The window was open again, and the curtains fluttered in the breeze!

When Sophia pushed the door open and came in, she only saw Trevor leaning against the headboard.

She turned on the light and asked in surprise, "Trevor, why are you still awake so late?"

Trevor looked up at her calmly and asked instead, "Why are you still awake? What are you doing here?"

Sophia said, "I came to check if Julian kicked off his blanket. It's getting colder these days, and I'm afraid he'll catch a cold and get sick!"

Trevor said, "Thank you for your hard work."

Actually, Trevor had gotten used to this routine over the past three years.

Although they didn't sleep in the same room, Sophia would often get up in the middle of the night to check on things, almost every night after he fell asleep.

He didn't know if she was really worried about the child catching a cold, but she was indeed very suspicious.

Sophia smiled, "I'm Julian's mom, and I definitely care him. By the way, why didn't you close the window when you went to sleep?"

Trevor's deep eyes glanced towards the window, "I did, but the wind blew it open. Before you came in, I was about to get up and close it."

Sophia walked towards the window and said, "Your legs aren't convenient, let me close it! Next time this happens, just call me, and I'll come to close the window. I can hear the phone!"

Trevor said, "It's not a big deal; I can handle it myself. I don't want to disturb your sleep."

Sophia closed the window, turned around, and walked to the bedside, looking at Trevor somewhat ingratiatingly, "Trevor, you really don't need to be so formal with me. We are husband and wife and have a child together! Although you don't remember our past, Julian's existence is proof enough. It's my responsibility to do things for you and our son!"

Trevor nodded, "I know, but my condition has already burdened you, and I don't want to trouble you with anything else."

Sophia suddenly grabbed Trevor's hand, "It's no trouble! Trevor, I don't feel burdened at all! Because I love you, and doing things for you is a joy for me! Trevor, don't feel inferior because of your condition. I'll find the best doctors for you, and you'll walk again!"

Trevor gently withdrew his hand and naturally adjusted Julian's blanket beside him, replying calmly, "I appreciate your concern, but now is not the time to talk about this. Go back to sleep, don't disturb Julian."

In the end, Trevor remained very polite and distant towards her.

Sophia felt a bit disappointed. She had felt uneasy and couldn't sleep, so she got up to check, only to find Trevor also awake.

She was actually willing to sleep in the same room with Trevor, even though his condition prevented them from having sex, she still wanted to sleep beside him.

But Trevor didn't want to share a room with her, saying it would disturb Julian's sleep.

She didn't understand; the bed was so big that Julian could sleep beside or between them without being disturbed.

But whenever she brought her pillow and blanket to sleep with him, Trevor would coldly say he didn't want her to see his inconvenient condition.

At first, Sophia thought it might be due to Trevor's pride, but now she felt he simply didn't want to share a bed with her.

Over the past three years, she had been so attentive to him. Why couldn't she earn even a bit of his affection?

"Alright, you should sleep early too!"

"Okay," Trevor replied.

Sophia retreated, and before closing the door, a hint of murderous intent flashed in her eyes as she looked at the child on the bed.

That child shouldn't be Julian.

This morning, when she made breakfast, she deliberately included Julian's most hated carrots.

But the child sleeping beside Trevor seemed to have no problem with the carrots and ate a lot.

Julian would never eat carrots. Because of his picky eating, Trevor had educated him many times, but Julian would rather starve than eat a single bite of carrot. Eventually, Trevor stopped forcing him!

Today, that child voluntarily ate the carrots, and not just a little, but a lot, and seemed to enjoy it!

Could the same person have such a drastic change in taste in a short time? She didn't believe it!

Sophia couldn't figure it out, but she was almost certain that the child wasn't Julian.

She had already sent someone to investigate.

She remembered that Julian had changed significantly since the day they flew kites!

The weekend.

Early in the morning, Teresa arrived at the Melville Mansion.

Katherine hadn't even gotten up yet and had forgotten about the appointment with Teresa to meet her psychologist friend!

Teresa rushed into the room and shook Katherine, "Katherine, wake up! Didn't we agree to meet my friend today? His studio isn't busy today, and he has time to talk with us! It's a rare opportunity, get up quickly, or if someone else gets in first, we'll have to wait in line!"

Katherine, still groggy, scratched her head, "What for? What studio?"

She hadn't had a good night's sleep for days, especially after visiting Alex that night.

Teresa said, "Remember that day we talked about it? I said I'd introduce you to my psychologist friend, and you agreed to come with me this weekend if you had time. Did you forget?"

Katherine had long forgotten. She was very tired and wanted to sleep a bit more!

"Another day! It's not urgent, tell your friend we'll go another day!"

Teresa frowned, "No way! My friend is usually very busy, it's hard to get an appointment! He has time today, we can't miss this chance!"
