Chapter 784 What's Wrong?

"Actually, there isn't much that needs..."

Before Teresa could finish her sentence, Frank stood up, walked over, and took her hand. "Let's go."

"Where to?" Teresa was pulled up from her seat.

Frank smiled, "To visit your family!"

"What?" Teresa was shocked. Didn't Frank feel even a little embarrassed?

The Melville Manor.

Katherine contacted the hidden number and replied in a very discreet manner: [She hasn't noticed that I know something. I can cooperate with you for a while longer, but you must take good care of George these days.]

A few minutes later, Trevor replied: [He's my son too, don't worry. And please look after Julian for now.]

After sending the message, Trevor deleted all traces from his phone and then looked up at the computer screen.

In his hidden email, he received a detailed rehabilitation guide from his rehab doctor, along with various precautions.

Trevor skimmed through the text, memorized it, and then closed the computer.

He glanced gently at George, who was napping on the bed, and then wheeled himself to the bedroom balcony. Following the doctor's instructions, he began trying to stand up and exercise his legs.

When Sophia returned to the hotel, it was already 4 PM. As soon as she entered, she sat on the sofa, looking worried and pale.

After resting for a while and looking around, she noticed that Trevor and Julian were not in the living room. She frowned and called out towards the bedroom, "Trevor, I'm back!"

After calling out, she waited for a while but no one came out. Sophia immediately felt something was wrong and was about to get up to look for them.

Just as she was about to stand, the bedroom door opened, and Trevor slowly wheeled himself out.

Sophia then relaxed and sat back on the sofa. "Trevor, what were you doing in the room?"

Trevor's expression was calm, showing no signs of anything unusual. "Julian is napping, and I was watching him. I accidentally fell asleep too."

Sophia nodded and then rubbed her head in frustration.

Trevor rarely saw Sophia looking so down. He parked his wheelchair next to the sofa and casually asked, "What's wrong? You don't look well."

Sophia took the opportunity to complain to Trevor, "I planned to finish the tasks my father assigned within half a month and then take you and Julian back to Markovia. But today, several buyers who were supposed to purchase some of my father's assets suddenly made excuses and said they weren't considering the acquisition for now!"

Trevor's eyes darkened, and he calmly reassured her, "It's okay, things can't be rushed. Take your time."

Sophia moved to sit closer to Trevor. "But I want to go back to Markovia as soon as possible! Trevor, you know, Dad bought us an island, and we still need to have a grand wedding. After that, we can live a carefree life on our own island!"

Trevor's face didn't show the same anticipation as Sophia's. He remained emotionless and said, "There's no need to rush. We can only go back after everything is settled."

Sophia felt a bit disappointed. When would she ever see Trevor show any special emotion for her?

"Trevor, is Julian still asleep?" she asked.

"Yes, he played a lot at noon and is still sleeping soundly."

Sophia was now quite certain that the boy in their home was not the one they had raised but the child who grew up with Katherine.

The fake Julian might have found the family discipline too strict and ran away to play, not wanting to go back.

Although the fake Julian didn't understand much, keeping him around was always a risk. Who knew when he might start talking nonsense in front of Trevor?

She had to find a way to get rid of this fake Julian, and also kill the two children with Katherine to eliminate any future threats!

She didn't want her future husband to have children with another woman.

After thinking for a while, Sophia tentatively asked, "Trevor, do you want to have another child to keep Julian company?"

If she had her own child with Trevor, it would be much easier to find an excuse to get rid of Katherine's children!

Trevor's expression froze slightly, and he frowned. "What do you mean? Do you think I can still have children in this condition?"

Sophia said, "Trevor, with today's advanced technology, we can try in vitro fertilization! While we're still young, I want to have another child."

Trevor coldly replied, "We'll consider that later. For now, focus on handling your father's matters."

"Alright." Sophia didn't continue the topic but noticed the faint sweat on Trevor's hairline. "Trevor, why are you sweating so much?"

A fleeting, almost imperceptible emotion crossed Trevor's face. "It's nothing, just felt a bit hot in the room."

Sophia found it very strange. "Hot? I've never seen you sweat, not even in the sweltering heat of Markovia."

Given Trevor's usual lack of physical activity, seeing him sweat was indeed unusual.

Trevor said, "I slipped in the bathroom earlier and used some effort to stand up, so I sweated a bit."

He couldn't let Sophia know he was doing rehab exercises, as that would only make her more suspicious.

After hearing this, Sophia didn't find it as strange. "Trevor, if something like that happens again, just call me for help! We're married, and it's no big deal to see each other naked."

Trevor responded with a faint "hmm." "If it happens again, I'll call you. You've been out all day, take a rest. I'll go check if Julian is awake."

Sophia wanted to say more, but Trevor had already turned his wheelchair around.

At that moment, her phone rang.

Not following Trevor into the room, Sophia sighed and answered the call.

It was her father, Brent.

"Sophia, Nora and I are almost done with our trip and are preparing to come home. When are you and Trevor coming back?"

Sophia sighed helplessly, "Dad, we can't go back for now. The business you asked me to handle here isn't finished yet. I need more time."

Brent's tone suddenly changed, "How come you haven't finished selling those assets? Are you encountering problems?"

Sophia said worriedly, "The companies that were initially interested in buying our assets suddenly changed their minds and said they weren't buying anymore!"

Brent replied, "Those crafty old hands must be giving you a hard time because you're young. Since Nora and I are done with our trip, we'll come to you and handle it ourselves."
