It's time to get down to business. Katherine looked at Fiona, her expression becoming more serious. "The reason I came in to talk to you is simply to let you know that you don't have to do anything unnecessary to drive me out of the Melville family. Fiona was taken aback and asked, "In a little while? How long?"
Katherine smiled faintly. "Don't you know? Your brother married me just to appease your ailing Grandfather. Three months from now, when your Grandfather's health is completely stable, the marriage between your brother and me will be dissolved. I will divorce him, and he can marry whoever he wants!"
Fiona, with a hint of disbelief, furrowed her brows. "Why should I believe that you will leave voluntarily? I've seen all kinds of women trying to marry my brother!"
Katherine laughed. "Miss Melville, is it a problem with your understanding, or did I not make myself clear enough just now? Your brother is not my type at all! On the contrary, I avoid him as much as possible. I can't wait for these three months to be over!"
Fiona looked at Katherine, still somewhat skeptical, and fell into deep thought...

Fiona shouted, "I don't want to stay here for fifteen days! Let me out! My brother can get me out! Tell my brother to save me..."
Katherine ignored her, pushed open the door of the interrogation room, and walked out.
After coming out of the interrogation room, Katherine saw Alex standing at the end of the corridor in the police station, talking to an elderly officer by the window.
She was far away and couldn't hear their conversation.
However, from the attire of the elderly officer, it was clear that he held a high position. Yet he was being very polite to Alex, as if explaining something...
"Mr. Melville, I sincerely apologize. Today, my subordinates mistook your wife for a suspect and interrogated her. It was a mistake in our handling of the case! But those few youngsters are just fresh graduates, inexperienced. I hope you can understand!"
Alex replied calmly, "Whether I understand or not is secondary. What's important is my wife's attitude. They should consider themselves lucky that my wife is a forgiving person."

Alex remained silent.
At that moment, the officer's phone rang. He apologized and went to the side to answer the call.

Alex looked at her and replied coldly, "You're mistaken. I will respect the police's decision."
Surprised by his response, Katherine asked, "She's your sister. Are you really willing to ignore her?"
Alex remained expressionless and said, "Fiona is an adult now, not a child. If she has done something wrong, she should face the consequences. Otherwise, she will never grow."
Katherine nodded, expressing her satisfaction. "Well, that's good. You're not a clueless older brother."
She stretched lazily and turned to leave the police station.
As she walked out, she felt someone closely following her.
Katherine stopped, turned around, and looked at the tall and strong Alex, who was trailing her. "Alex, are you going to the hospital to see Sandra now?"
Alex lowered his head to look at her. "Sandra is fine. Leander has already taken her home."
Katherine nodded in relief. "Well, as long as Sandra is okay. I'll go ahead then, bye!"
After speaking, she continued walking, but after a few steps, she stopped and turned back, curiously asking, "Why are you still following me?"
Alex replied, "Ms. Galatea, didn't you say you wanted to treat me to a meal today?"
Katherine smiled awkwardly. "I meant to treat Sandra to a meal and bring you along. Since Sandra can't make it now, the meal is canceled."
Huh, so she only brought him along as an afterthought?
Alex smirked. "Then let me treat you to a meal, alright?"
Katherine wasn't interested and waved her hand to refuse. "...You go ahead and eat. I have plans with someone else."
Alex narrowed his eyes. "Who do you have plans with?"
Katherine furrowed her brows. "Do I really have to tell you?"
Alex stared at her coldly. "What do you think?"
His controlling nature made her feel helpless!
Fortunately, they were only in a temporary marriage. If Katherine were to marry him for real, she would definitely have a mental breakdown!
Katherine shrugged and replied honestly, "Today is my graduation ceremony. My classmates just messaged me to join them for dinner. We'll probably party all night if nothing unexpected happens."
She explained it clearly, with a calm attitude, but she wasn't seeking his approval.
Alex lowered his head and lit a cigarette. "After college, you won't have much contact with your classmates. Do you really have to go to this useless gathering?"
Katherine glanced at him. "I want to go! Does a gathering always have to be for personal gain? After all, they are my classmates. Once we get busy with work, we won't have the chance to be carefree like this. I want to bid them a proper farewell."
Alex remained silent for a moment, his face devoid of emotion. "Get in the car, I'll take you."
Katherine shook her head. "No need to trouble yourself; I can take a taxi..."
Before she could finish her sentence, Alex lifted her into the car as if she were a child.
Sometimes, Katherine found Alex to be really strange. He maintained an aloof and cold demeanor, yet he always meddled in her affairs!
At the Happie Party House.
"Thank you," Katherine said lightly, then she got out of the car and walked into the party house alone.
The black Maserati didn't drive away immediately but stayed in place.
The driver turned around and asked, "Mr. Melville, are you going home now or somewhere else?"
Alex didn't speak, and the driver didn't dare to ask again.
Alex's face darkened as he stared at the door of the party house...
At that moment, Hilton called.
"Alex, where are you? Want to have a drink at the usual place tonight?"
"Let's go somewhere else."
"Sure! Where do you want to go?"
"Happie Party House."
"What? Where?" Hilton's voice sounded puzzled as if he doubted he had heard correctly.
