Chapter 699 Rekindling the Past

Billy said, "When I brought Charles back, I saw Mr. Sunny Mitchell running out to catch a cab. Since I was with Charles, I couldn't stop him."

Thinking about Sunny might go to Ambrosia, Bernard pinched the bridge of his nose, feeling a headache coming on.

Bernard commanded, "Go, send a couple of people to bring him home. Don't let him cause any more trouble!"

Billy nodded, "Yes, Mr. Mitchell. I'll get someone to find Mr. Sunny Mitchell and bring him back right away."

Sunny took a cab to Ambrosia's place.

He went upstairs and rang the doorbell for ages, but no one answered. He called Ambrosia, but she didn't pick up. Remembering how he saw Ambrosia and some guy cheek-kissing at the Crescent Group's entrance this morning, he got super agitated.

With no other option, he called Frank.

"What's up, Mr. Mitchell?" Frank answered, but it was super noisy on his end, like he was at a nightclub.

Sunny asked irritably, "Where are you that it's so loud? Why hasn't Ambrosia come home yet?"

Frank chuckled, "I knew you wouldn't call me unless it was about Ambrosia!"

Unable to reach Ambrosia, Sunny got even more impatient. "Cut the crap! Do you know where she is or not?"

Frank laughed, "She's with me. We're at Breaking Dawn Bar. Wanna join?"

Hearing that Ambrosia was at Breaking Dawn Bar, Sunny frowned, "Why'd you take her to a bar? Tell her to come home right now and say I'm waiting for her at the door!"

Frank laughed helplessly, "Mr. Mitchell, you got it wrong. I didn't bring her here! We used to come here all the time before she met you! Besides, she's my boss; I can't control her! If you want to find her, come to Breaking Dawn Bar yourself!"

With that, Frank hung up, not giving Sunny a chance to say more.

Sunny was super annoyed. It was getting late, and if he didn't go home soon, Bernard might scold him.

But if he didn't see Ambrosia today, he definitely wouldn't sleep all night!

After thinking it over, he decided to go downstairs and take a cab to Breaking Dawn Bar.

Sunny had been to Breaking Dawn Bar before, but never alone. He usually went with Hilton and the others, so if Bernard found out, Hilton could cover for him.

Today, he had to go into the bar alone. He hesitated at the entrance, afraid the security might stop him.

Then he thought, 'I'm an adult now, what am I afraid of!'

He strode confidently to the entrance of Breaking Dawn Bar, but sure enough, the security stopped him and asked how old he was.

Sunny was a bit annoyed. He thought his height made him look mature, so why was the security treating him like a minor?

This made him even more aware of the age gap between him and Ambrosia, making him even more frustrated!

The worst part was, he couldn't prove he was an adult!

With no other option, he called Frank again to get him.

Frank showed up quickly after the call.

But his attitude really got on Sunny's nerves. He looked at him teasingly, "Mr. Mitchell, you really are enviably young! I can't even remember the last time someone thought I was underage!"

Sunny snapped, "What's so great about being young? I wish I were thirty already! Where's Ambrosia? Take me to her!"

Frank led him towards a private room inside.

"Mr. Sunny Mitchell, just a heads up. When you go in, keep your cool and don't do anything rash."

Sunny frowned, confused and wary, "Why would I act impulsively? What's Ambrosia doing in there?"

Frank smiled. "You'll see when you go in. Just remember, a mature man doesn't lose his temper easily."

Sunny waved his hand impatiently, "Alright, alright! I get it. Just take me in. Which room is it?"

Frank pointed to a door not far away. Sunny looked over and, without hesitation, strode towards the room.

It was a large VIP room, filled with a sweet floral scent.

Looking closely, the floor was covered with petals.

There were also carefully arranged balloons, ribbons, and flowers in the shape of a heart.

Sunny's face darkened. The people in the room didn't notice him; they were all immersed in the revelry.

He didn't see Ambrosia at first glance. He walked in and saw her sitting in a booth, clinking glasses and chatting with a man.

Sunny was about to lose it, like a cat with its territory invaded!

Frank's heavy hand landed on his shoulder, pressing him down. Frank's voice came into his ear, "Mr. Mitchell, do you forget what I just told you outside? A truly mature man doesn't lose his temper easily, and Ambrosia doesn't like men who always put her in awkward situations."

Sunny stopped, suppressing his anger and glaring at the man and woman talking in the booth!

The room was dimly lit and noisy, so Ambrosia hadn't noticed Sunny yet. But the man next to her did. He didn't remind Ambrosia; instead, he deliberately moved closer to her.

Sunny immediately recognized him as the disgusting man who had greeted Ambrosia with a cheek kiss at the Crescent Group's entrance this morning!

Seeing them together again, and so close, Sunny was really going crazy!

But Frank's reminder made sense. He couldn't act immaturely; that would mean losing to that disgusting man!

He took a deep breath, drank some water, and forced himself to calm down. Then he turned to Frank and asked, "Who is that disgusting man? Why does Ambrosia like him so much?"

Frank smiled, "That's Ambrosia's first love, Nolan Rivera. He recently returned from abroad and wants to rekindle their past romance!"

"What?!" Sunny was really angry. They had broken up, so why was he coming back for Ambrosia! Damn it!

Frank kindly reminded him. "See all these rose petals and those balloons and flowers? They are all carefully prepared by Nolan as a surprise for Ambrosia!"

Sunny said, "How tacky! Ambrosia won't like it!"

Frank laughed, "Really? I think Ambrosia seems to like it quite a bit."
