Chapter 874 Streaking

Katherine couldn't take it anymore. "Can you just leave?"

Jonathan, looking fearless, smiled. "Sure! You're done with your meeting, right? Let's go to Silvershade Vale and have a good talk about work!"

Katherine didn't want to go with him and waved her hand. "No need to go. Wherever you want to set up the art district, just do it. As long as it doesn't take up more than one-fifth of the land."

Jonathan had waited this long and wasn't about to give up. "Katherine, you made me wait this long, and now you're going to break your promise?"

Katherine said, "I've already agreed to all your requests, and you're still not satisfied? What, do you want me to inspect the site, find problems, and then reject your proposal to make you happy?"

Jonathan was very confident. "I want you to come with me and see how forward-thinking my proposal is. Maybe you'll even like me! Katherine, I have absolute confidence in my proposal and believe you won't reject it."

Katherine said, "I won't reject you now. Just go! It's settled!"

Seeing Katherine's eagerness to avoid him, Jonathan stopped buttoning his shirt. "Katherine, are you really going to force me to run out half-naked? You should know I don't care about dignity. If you don't come with me, I'll run out like this and say you harassed your partner!"

Jonathan made a move to open the door, and Katherine, with a headache, grabbed him. "Fine, I'll go with you!"

"That's more like it, Katherine! Come out with me, and you can relax a bit too!" Jonathan quickly buttoned his shirt, picked up his suit jacket, and draped it over his arm. "Let's go!"

Katherine sighed helplessly. "Wait a moment, I need to give some instructions to my secretary."

Jonathan shrugged. "Alright, no problem. I'll wait for you by the elevator."

"Okay," Katherine responded and turned to give her secretary instructions for the follow-up work after the meeting.

Jonathan wasn't worried about Katherine breaking her promise. He knew her well enough to know that once she agreed to something, she would follow through.

When Katherine finished her work and came out, Jonathan was still lazily leaning against the wall by the elevator. Seeing her approach, his eyes lit up with a smile.

Katherine ignored him and pressed the elevator button.

Jonathan followed her into the elevator and looked at her. "Why the frown? Are you that unhappy to come out with me?"

Katherine snorted. "You know I wouldn't be happy, but you wouldn't give up. So, stop talking nonsense!"

Despite her cold attitude, Jonathan smiled even more. "I like how straightforward you are, unlike other girls who are all fake around me."

Katherine glanced at him. "How do you know they're fake? What if they're serious about you?"

Jonathan shrugged with his arms crossed. "Even if they are, I don't care. I don't like them; I like you!"

Katherine's eyes turned cold, showing her disdain. "I don't like you!"

Jonathan laughed. "The more honest you are, the more I like you!"

Katherine's mouth twitched, and she stopped talking. Jonathan was the type of guy who would take any opportunity to flirt, no matter what she said!

When they got out of the elevator, Jonathan was about to get his car, but Katherine stopped him.

"Take the company car. You can come back for your car later."

Jonathan raised an eyebrow. "Why? Isn't it more convenient if I drive?"

Katherine said, "We're going to inspect the site for work. It's more appropriate to take the company car to avoid any misunderstandings."

Jonathan frowned. "Katherine, aren't you being too cautious?"

Katherine didn't explain further and got into the company car driven by the company driver.

Jonathan shrugged and followed her into the car.

Sophia got up early to make breakfast for Trevor, hoping to ease the tension from the previous day. She wanted to make him happy again.

She made oatmeal, eggs, and shrimp.

Trevor came over with Julian for breakfast but didn't speak at the table.

Sophia peeled an egg and handed it to Trevor. "Trevor, after breakfast, let's take Julian out for a walk. My dad's work is almost done, and we won't be here for many more days before we go back to Markovia."

Trevor paused before taking the egg. "Okay."

Sophia looked at Trevor cautiously and tried to please him. "What's wrong, Trevor? Don't you want to go back to Markovia?"

Trevor looked at her with indifferent eyes. "If I don't want to go back to Markovia, will you agree?"

This question hit Sophia hard.

"Trevor, why wouldn't you want to go back to Markovia? Our home is in Markovia!"

Trevor said flatly, "Home? To me, everywhere is just a cage, no freedom."

Sophia was stunned. "Trevor, are you blaming me for restricting your freedom?"

Trevor didn't respond and drank his water.

Sophia put on a hurt expression. "I won't let you go out because I'm worried about you. Your legs are not well, and I can't be at ease if you go anywhere. I'm doing it for your own good."

Trevor said, "Do as you please. If it's not something you really need to discuss with me, don't bring it up. My opinion doesn't matter to you anyway. Just make your own arrangements."

Sophia was at a loss for words, wanting to defend herself but unable to find the right ones.

She couldn't say she would consider Trevor's opinion. If Trevor really wanted to stay and not leave, she would be shooting herself in the foot.

After thinking for a while, Sophia silently ate her breakfast without saying more.

After breakfast, Trevor took Julian to change clothes, preparing to go out.

Sophia also changed and got ready. She pushed Trevor's wheelchair and took Julian out. As they passed Brent's suite, Brent's door opened.

"Dad," Sophia greeted Brent, even though their conversation the previous day had been unpleasant.
