Chapter 771 I Am Willing to Marry Her

Teresa looked distressed and pained. "Katherine, I understand you need to talk about Alex to feel better, but we haven't found him yet! Fiona and I are just worried that bottling up your emotions for too long will make you sick."

Katherine thought about the man, who was living well in his wheelchair, and said thoughtfully, "I won't hold it in for much longer."

Teresa was taken aback. "What do you mean? Katherine, do you have a lead on Alex?"

Before Katherine could respond, Valentin had already finished talking with Julian and walked over.

Julian naturally clung to Katherine's side, snuggling into her arms.

Katherine patted Julian's head and looked up at Valentin. "So, Dr. Valentin, did you come to any conclusions?"

Valentin nodded. "Yes, we need to discuss it privately. Ms. Galatea, please follow me upstairs."

Katherine instinctively felt that George really had a psychological issue, and it wasn't minor.

After furrowing her brows, she handed Julian over to Teresa for supervision and followed Valentin upstairs.

Valentin led Katherine into his counseling room, where he usually conducted one-on-one sessions with patients.

He sat behind his desk and gestured, "Please sit, Ms. Galatea."

Katherine pulled out a chair and sat down, asking worriedly, "What's going on? Is my son's psychological issue serious?"

Valentin shook his head. "Based on my conversation with your son, I think he's just a bit introverted and doesn't have any psychological issues that require intervention."

Introverted?

That was impossible! Katherine knew her child well. George had always been mischievous and outgoing, with no trace of introversion!

He had just recently become timid and quiet for some unknown reason!

Katherine frowned, silently questioning the psychologist's professional competence.

Valentin seemed to notice Katherine's skepticism and smiled. "Ms. Galatea, do you think I'm wrong?"

Katherine didn't hold back. "Indeed, Dr. Valentin, I think you might have misjudged my son's personality. He's always been an outgoing child, and his recent silence is unusual."

Valentin replied calmly, "But I talked to him quite a bit and didn't find any signs of extroversion. Moreover, it seems he doesn't feel the home is unfamiliar due to any trauma; he genuinely finds the environment unfamiliar."

Katherine was confused. "What do you mean? Are you saying my son suddenly feels unfamiliar with the place he's grown up in? Could he have amnesia?"

Mentioning amnesia made Katherine a bit resentful, and her tone wasn't pleasant.

Valentin also seemed frustrated, as if something didn't make sense to him either.

"Ms. Galatea, that's not what I meant. I'm suggesting, hypothetically, is there a possibility that the child with you isn't your original son?"

During his conversation with the kid, Valentin had noticed many inconsistencies. He seemed to be hiding something, but overall, he appeared normal.

Valentin's words shocked Katherine!

The child with her wasn't her original George!

Could it be...

Seeing Katherine's troubled expression, Valentin realized his guess might be inappropriate and even unprofessional. He awkwardly smiled, "Ms. Galatea, I know my guess is far-fetched, but your son's behavior is very contradictory. I can't pinpoint the inconsistencies, but he doesn't have any obvious psychological issues."

"No! Your guess isn't far-fetched." Katherine suddenly understood, her scattered thoughts coming together. "Thank you for clearing up my confusion, Dr. Valentin. You are indeed a professional!"

Valentin was stunned. "Huh?"

Katherine couldn't stay calm. "I'll have Teresa transfer your consultation fee. I have something urgent to handle now. Sorry, I have to go!"

With that, she quickly left the counseling room and hurried downstairs.

Valentin was bewildered. What was going on? Did he guess correctly?

Was the child with her really not her original son?

But how could they look exactly the same, so much so that even the mother couldn't tell?

He had made a bold guess, thinking Katherine would question his professionalism and accuse him of joking. He didn't expect this outcome.

As he was pondering, there was a knock on the counseling room door.

Was Katherine back?

"Come in!"

The door opened, and Jonathan's face, with its usual unsettling expression, appeared.

"Valentin, leaving me alone on the terrace for so long, you're really something!"

Valentin smiled helplessly at his friend's complaint. "I had no choice! An old client came for a consultation; I couldn't just ignore them!"

Jonathan sat down in front of him. "What old client is so important to you? Let me guess, a beautiful woman?"

Thinking of Katherine's looks, Valentin nodded sincerely. "Yes, very beautiful! But it wasn't my old client; it was the new client she brought today. She's indescribably beautiful! Unfortunately, she's already a mother of three!"

Hearing she was a mother of three, Jonathan's expression froze, naturally thinking of the aloof Katherine.

"Is her name Katherine?"

Valentin was genuinely surprised, looking at him in disbelief. "Wow, you guessed it! Do you know her?"

Jonathan propped his head on his hand, smiling self-deprecatingly. "Know her? I have a crush on her! But she never pays any attention to me!"

Valentin was even more surprised. "The woman you have a crush on is a mother of three?"

Jonathan shrugged. "Does it matter? I like her, and that's all that counts!"

Valentin admired him, giving him a thumbs up. "Man, you're incredible! When it comes to love, no one is better than you! You can ignore everything as long as you have feelings. We can't do that!"

Jonathan laughed. "Not just love. If I could, I would marry her."
