Katherine blinked her almond-shaped eyes. "Alex, I used to be forced into cooperating with you in front of the Melville family. I went along with your plans, followed your lead, and tried to avoid upsetting you. I had no expectations of you whatsoever.
She continued, ''But now it's different. Since we've agreed to try getting along, you should also learn to respect my wishes! I've been throught a lot in the past few days, and I feel really tired. I want to be alone for a while. Can I have this room to myself? If you insist that this is your room, I can go to the guest room, or I can leave and go back to my own home!"
Alex squinted his eyes. Katherine's words left him with no way out. She's sharp!
"OK! I gave up. If you want to stay alone, then stay alone. The room is yours; I'll go to the study," answered Alex.
"Thank you!" Katherine giggled, raised her chin, and pointed mischievously at the man's large hand on the door, clearly signaling. "Your hand?"
Although Alex didn't want to leave her alone, he couldn't afford to provoke her. In the end, he obediently withdrew his hand.
As soon as Alex's hand was removed, Katherine immediately closed the door and went to the bathroom to take a shower and change clothes.
Alex's forehead veins twitched as he was shut out, his face displeased.

Katherine replied: [Don't worry, I can handle the online situation myself. Frank, go find out who publicly confessed with the LED at Century Bank that day and see if the person being confessed to, Sarah, actually exists. Check if Janetrick has someone named Sarah who happened to return to the country around those days.]
Frank replied: [Got it!]
Ambrosia asked: [Katherine, do you mean Ms. Melville didn't do the LED confession at Century Bank that day?]
Katherine replied: [Yes, it wasn't him.]
Ambrosia texted: [This is interesting! It seems someone deliberately created a smokescreen to make people misunderstand the scene! I bet it was that Miss Mitchell herself, right?]

She didn't doubt Alex's explanation or his ability to investigate such a trivial matter.
