Chapter 826 Can I Go Upstairs?

Linda said stubbornly, "Dad, I'm not making things up. I really found Mom's savior! Sophia is questioning me, so why do I have to apologize? You've always favored her, and now you're helping her bully me! If it weren't for Mom's feelings for you, I wouldn't even want to acknowledge you as my dad!"

Brent's face darkened at Linda's words. "You!"

Nora reached out and patted Linda's shoulder. "Linda, how can you talk to your dad like that?"

Although Linda didn't argue with Nora, she was still a bit angry and refused to compromise.

Seeing Linda's current demeanor, Brent felt that her temper was exactly like his when he was young, so he wasn't angry but just frowned.

"Fine, I wasn't thorough enough just now! Now, I'll go upstairs with Nora to meet this savior. If we confirm it's really her, Sophia and I will apologize to you. But if I find out she's not, you have to apologize to Sophia. Is that fair?"

Linda, still stubborn, replied, "Fine! Go ahead! I guarantee that once you see her, you'll be sure it's her!"

Brent stood up, straightened his clothes, and said with a hint of sarcasm, "Well then, why don't you quickly take us upstairs to meet this savior?"

Linda crossed her arms and raised her face angrily. "You don't believe me, so I'm not taking you. She's in the 'Dream Castle' room upstairs. Find her yourselves!"

Brent was amused by Linda's attitude, which reminded him so much of his younger self.

Nora helplessly advised, "Then stay here and eat with Sophia and Trevor. Don't run around anymore!"

Linda nodded and sat back down, picking up her fork. "Got it. I'm hungry anyway!"

Seeing Linda's demeanor, Nora sighed and exchanged a glance with Brent. "Let's go upstairs and find this savior. Maybe Linda really did meet that kind-hearted lady from back then."

Brent nodded, put his arm around Nora's shoulder, and said, "Alright, let's go."

With that, Brent and Nora went upstairs to find the legendary savior.

Sophia watched Brent's back, then looked at Linda, who seemed a bit smug. Feeling something was off, she stood up. "Trevor, stay here with Julian and Linda. I'm going upstairs with Dad and Mom to see who this savior is. I'm worried they might be deceived."

Trevor, uninterested in Sophia's family matters, nodded slightly and put some food on George's plate.

Sophia gave Linda a deep glare and quickly followed Brent upstairs.

At the table, only Trevor and the two kids were left.

Without Sophia around, George relaxed a bit and widened his big eyes to silently ask Linda if she had found his mom upstairs.

Linda responded with a small nod.

However, their little actions didn't escape Trevor's notice. He said calmly, "If you have something to say, just say it out loud. Do you think you can communicate clearly with just winks and nods?"

Trevor's words startled the two kids, who then looked at him with guilty and awkward expressions.

George grinned. "Dad, we weren't talking about anything."

Trevor squinted. "There's no one else here now. Speak up! Did you two plan something when you went to the restroom?"

George knew Trevor had seen through everything and exchanged a glance with Linda, unsure if they should speak.

Linda, being straightforward, thought for a moment and then said, "Yes, we did."

Trevor looked at Linda. "What was it?"

"Actually, I already discovered that he isn't Julian! When we went to the restroom, he said he thought he heard his mom's voice and wanted to go upstairs to find her. I didn't want him to go alone, so I told him to come back while I went upstairs to look for her!"

What? Katherine was here too?

This was an unexpected situation for Trevor. His eyes tightened. "Did you find his mom?"

Linda nodded. "Yes! The lady I mentioned to my parents is his mom. She's my mom's savior!"

This was another shocking piece of news for Trevor. "Are you sure?"

Linda, a bit annoyed, frowned. "Trevor, why are you doubting me too? I wouldn't mistake her. When my mom was in danger, that lady appeared like an angel and helped us. I etched her face in my mind, and she hasn't changed much over the years, so I recognized her immediately!"

Before Trevor could say anything, George exclaimed, "What? My mom is your mom's savior? Really?"

Linda, getting frustrated, said, "Yes, really! I've said it so many times! Why don't you believe me?"

George shook his head. "Auntie Linda, I believe you! I'm just surprised at the coincidence!"

"Yeah, it's quite a coincidence. I've always thought Julian resembled the lady who saved my mom. Today, I finally confirmed it!"

George, unable to stay calm, looked upstairs. "Auntie Linda, did you see who my mom came here with?"

Linda thought for a moment. "A lot of people! Both men and women at a table! And the real Julian who looks just like you!"

George had a good idea of who might be there and wanted to go upstairs. He turned to Trevor. "Dad, can I go upstairs to see my mom? I can also bring the real Julian down to meet you. You haven't seen him in a while and must miss him."

Trevor, deep in thought, snapped back to reality at George's words and frowned. "Do you think you can go upstairs now?"
