Chapter 54 Don't Bother with My Affairs
Nathan looked embarrassed and said, "Uh... I am... I am Katherine's classmate."
Alexander responded, "A classmate who likes her. Should I trust you with her?"
Nathan blushed and furrowed his brow. His character was being questioned by Alexander, which made him a bit angry.
"I admit that I like Katherine! But I am not a scoundrel. I would never do anything disrespectful to her. I will always respect her!" Nathan exclaimed.
Alexander narrowed his eyes, casually swirled the cocktail he had taken from Katherine's hand, and smiled. "You certainly have courage. Did you really confess to her in front of me?"
Nathan's face turned even redder, feeling extremely embarrassed.
Seeing her classmate in such an awkward situation, Katherine frowned and stood up. "Alex, I promise I won't drink anymore. If you have nothing else, please leave!"
Alexander looked at her, somewhat surprised. "You want me to leave?"
Katherine shook her head. "Think what you want. But please, leave. Your presence here is scaring my classmates."
Alexander's face suddenly turned dark.
Was he scaring her classmates?
What did Katherine think he was? Was he really that terrifying?
At that moment, someone lowered the music in the private room. Soon after, a group of female classmates excitedly surrounded them.
"Wow! You're the gentleman who donated to our school today, right?"
"Katherine, this gentleman is really handsome!"
"Katherine, please introduce us. Who is this handsome gentleman?"
The female classmates became more and more excited as they saw the handsome man, almost drooling.
Alexander looked at Katherine mockingly with a slight smile. "Apparently, your classmates don't seem to be scared of me, do they?"
Katherine was speechless.
She secretly despised these infatuated girls.
One of the female classmates enthusiastically said, "This handsome gentleman, why don't you stay and have fun with us? You've made such a great contribution to our school today, and we would like to thank you on behalf of our school!"
It was clear that this female classmate had ulterior motives, but everyone happily agreed with her proposal, wanting to keep this rare, handsome guy.
"Yeah, stay and have fun!"
"Let's play together!"
Alexander squinted at Katherine's embarrassed expression and calmly said, "No, you all have fun. I just came to see her."
He gently patted Katherine's head with his rough hand as if he were petting a small animal. He really seemed like a responsible elder.
Katherine frowned unhappily and glared at him.
But her female classmates looked at him with envy. They felt so lucky to have such a handsome man pat their heads...
Katherine was taken aback.
Alexander added, "Alright, have fun with your classmates. I'll be in the opposite private room. Come find me when the gathering is over."
With that, he slightly lowered his body, brushed aside the hair near her ear, and whispered, "Katherine, don't forget your current identity. Don't get too close to other men; after all, you are my wife now."
It was not a reminder but a warning.
However, she did not get too close to other men.
Katherine wanted to retort, but she didn't dare.
Alexander turned his face slightly and said to the others, "Enjoy yourselves. Today's expenses will be covered by my wife, Katherine. She's treating."
Her classmates were stunned, then cheered.
"Wow, really?"
"Thank you, Katherine!"
"Katherine, you are so generous!"
Katherine stared in astonishment and anger at Alexander.
Who said anything about treating?
Usually, everyone splits the bill for gatherings!
There are over a hundred classmates here today. Does he know how much that would cost?
Seeing Katherine furrow her brow, Alexander smirked, withdrew his hand from her head, put it in his pocket, and elegantly walked away.
After Alexander left, the classmates looked at Katherine with respect for treating them. The girls surrounded her, asking about Alexander. Katherine casually answered their questions.
The male classmates, on the other hand, didn't dare to approach her. After all, Katherine's parents were in the opposite private room, and they didn't have the courage...
After finally dealing with the female classmates, Katherine sat down in frustration. She took out her phone and messaged Alexander, complaining: [Alex, do you realize how naughty you are?]
After about half a minute, Alexander replied: [What did I do?]
Katherine gritted her teeth and said: [Alex, what were you here for just now?]
After a while, Alexander responded: [I was just warning one of your classmates to keep their distance from you.]
Katherine snorted and replied: [It's none of your business!]
In the opposite private room, Alexander looked at the angry reply from Katherine on his phone and grinned. He replied: [What? Don't I have the right to defend my own marriage?]
Katherine immediately sent back an emoji expressing her disdain!
It was a GIF showing a chubby little girl standing with her hands on her hips, stomping her feet, and the text in the picture said: [I hate you!]
The little girl in the picture looked exactly like the annoyed Katherine.
"Alex, why are you smiling at your phone? What could make you, who rarely smiles, show a smile?" Hilton teased as he approached, holding a glass of wine...
Alexander calmly locked his phone screen and looked up at him, "Did I smile?"
Hilton nodded, "Yes, you did! Don't believe me? Ask Issac!"
Alexander looked at Issac, who was standing beside him...
Issac took a sip of his drink and didn't respond. He pointed to a corner and said, "There's a table over there. Shall we play poker?"
Hilton laughed, "Sure, it's been a long time since I played! But it's just the three of us, not enough people!"
"Sophie and Sunny will be here soon."
"That works out perfectly then!"
Seeing all the classmates surrounding Katherine, Yeager Young, the school queen, felt like her spotlight had been stolen. She was very unhappy about it.
She glared at Katherine with jealousy. After a moment of thought, she smirked and picked up her own instrument case, walking over to Katherine.
Yeager approached Katherine with a friendly and bright smile, saying, "Katherine, I heard that you can also play the guitar. Today, to celebrate our college graduation, I want to sing an original song for everyone. How about you accompany me on the guitar?"
