Chapter 37 She's Having an Affair
Katherine looked up and saw Sandra. She was stunned for a moment and weakly said, "Grandmother? What brings you here?"
Before Sandra could speak again, Fiona interrupted angrily, "Katherine, you are shameless! Our family will not accept a promiscuous woman like you!"
Sunny, with a smug expression, chimed in, "Katherine, we all know what happened, so stop pretending!"
Katherine furrowed her brow. At this moment, she lacked the energy to engage in an argument with them.
Jonathan quietly observed the sudden intrusion of these people and then looked at the pale-faced Katherine. He was somewhat surprised by their relationship, but he could guess some of it.
After steadying Katherine, he stood up and smiled, "Madam Melville, welcome. Why didn't you send someone to inform me in advance? If I had known you were coming, I would have personally greeted you."
Fiona sneered, "You shameless man! If we had informed you in advance, how would we have discovered your affair with her? Besides, my grandmother doesn't need someone like you to welcome her!"
Jonathan remained calm and continued to explain to Sandra, "Madam Melville, Katherine is feeling unwell, so she is resting here temporarily. Just now, she remembered she needed to use the restroom, but because she was weak, she almost fell. I just helped her, and that's when you all came in."
Sunny sarcastically sneered, "Such an intimate relationship you have! Do you think we will believe you? These are all just excuses! Something inappropriate must have happened in this lounge!"
Jonathan looked at Sunny, a hint of displeasure on his face, and said, "Mr. Mitchell, what are you doing here? I don't remember inviting you."
Feeling guilty about how he got in, Sunny replied, "I'm here on behalf of my brother today!"
Jonathan chuckled, "Is that so?"
At that moment, Sophie walked in, looking confused. She said, "Sunny, I've been looking for you everywhere! You called me in such a hurry; what's the matter?"
When Sophie received Sunny's call, she happened to be nearby, having coffee with her best friend. Upon hearing that it was about Katherine's affair, she hurried over.
Sunny pointed at Katherine on the bed and said, "Sophie, look, we caught them red-handed! This Katherine not only steals, but she also commits adultery! Today, we caught her in the act!"
Sophie looked at Katherine, wrapped in a blanket on the bed, and then at Jonathan standing beside her. She deliberately put on a shocked and disappointed expression. "Katherine, how could you! I can't believe you would do such a thing!"
Katherine glanced at her but remained silent. She was in great discomfort, which made her look extremely stern as if she had really been unfaithful.
Sophie sighed and then walked over to Sandra, who had been silent all this time. She reached out to support Sandra and comforted her, "Madam Melville, please don't be angry. Since it has already happened, we can't change it. We can only wait for Alex to find out and see how he wants to handle it."
Sandra's expression was stern and dignified. She ignored Sophie's words and pushed her hand away. With a pair of old and sharp eyes, she looked at Katherine in astonishment. "Katherine, tell me what happened. I just want to hear your explanation!"
Sophie awkwardly withdrew her hand.
Katherine's stomach was in excruciating pain, causing her to gasp for air.
She looked up and said calmly, "Grandmother, today I just came to see the art exhibition, and then I suddenly felt unwell, so I rested here. Mr. Mostow kindly helped me just now, that's all."
Sandra noticed that Katherine's complexion was indeed not good, and her gaze gradually softened. She asked with concern, "What's wrong? Katherine, are you sick?"
Fiona, seeing that Sandra believed Katherine's words, immediately interjected, "Grandmother, don't believe her excuses, don't let her deceive you again. Seeing Katherine's pale and pitiful appearance, Sandra wanted to ask her to sit down before speaking.
Sunny impatiently walked up, grabbed Katherine's collar, and said, "You adulterous woman, stop making excuses! No one here will believe your lies! I advise you to admit your mistake, leave the Melville Manor on your own, and don't wait for them to kick you out!"
Jonathan walked over and pulled Sunny's hand away. "Let go of her. Can't you see she's feeling unwell?"
Sunny sneered, "So you care about her that much. Are you going to deny your affair with her now?"
Jonathan didn't want to argue with Sunny. "We are innocent! Mr. Mitchell, you better be careful with your words; there will be consequences if you speak wrongly!"

Jonathan ignored Sunny and turned to look at the weak Katherine. He reached out and supported her trembling shoulders. "Katherine, how are you? Are you okay?"
Katherine shook her head.
"What are you all doing here?"
A deep voice suddenly sounded. It was calm but exuded a strong sense of danger.
Everyone was startled and turned to look.
Alex's tall figure appeared at the door of the lounge.
His hands were in his pockets, and his handsome face wore a serious expression.
Leander followed behind him, also looking serious.
Upon seeing Alex, Fiona immediately ran over and said, "Brother, you've come just in time! Katherine has been unfaithful and was caught having an affair with that man here!"
Alex frowned and said, "Shut up!"
Fiona shrank her neck in fear.
She thought that Alex must be very angry upon learning about Katherine's infidelity, so she dared not say anything more.

Seeing Jonathan supporting Katherine's shoulders, Alex's gaze turned incredibly dark.
