Chapter 783 Don't Want to Trouble Her
Frank immediately shook his head obediently, "Okay, I won't talk nonsense anymore."
Teresa frowned, "Sit across from me!"
Frank nodded, "Okay."
Then he got up and sat properly across from her.
Actually, after he sat across from her, Teresa felt even more uncomfortable.

"Why are you here?" Teresa asked, pretending to be casual, trying to change the subject.
Frank looked at her with a smile, "I heard you were on a blind date here, so I came to check out the guy for you."

Frank, still having some principles, didn't tell her that it was Sunny who leaked the information.
"I wanted to find out about you, so naturally, I found out."
Hearing this, Teresa blushed and frowned, "Are you interested in every woman's business, just here to watch me make a fool of myself?"
Frank helplessly spread his hands, "I'm really not!"
Teresa had seen Frank's playboy ways before and didn't believe his sweet talk anymore.
"Seeing me on a blind date with someone as weird as Delbert, isn't it funny to you?"
Frank shook his head, "Not funny, but I do find it a bit strange."
Teresa blinked at him, "What's strange about it?"
Frank said, "It's strange that Delbert dared to talk to you like that. If I hadn't shown up, he might have even dared to throw something at you."
Teresa said self-deprecatingly, "What's strange about that? He thinks I'm an old woman who has no right to look down on him, so he got angry and wanted to teach me a lesson!"
Frank raised an eyebrow, "No, what's strange is, given Delbert's status, how dare he have such an attitude towards the niece of Alex from the Melville family?"

Teresa first looked at him, then quickly averted her gaze from his handsome face. She had always struggled with self-control and needed to resist falling for Frank again.
"No, I don't want to owe you a favor!" she refused.
"What if I don't consider it a favor? I'm very willing to be used by you, even if it's to make up for the harm I caused you before."
"No need! You owe me anything; you didn't hurt me. It was all my own wishful thinking! If you really want to do something for me, then leave me alone and try not to show up in my life again!"
Frank looked at her, somewhat hurt. "Do you hate me that much? You don't even want to look at me? If you don't want to accept my help, can't we at least be friends?"
"I don't hate you, but I don't want to be friends with you either."
"Tell me why. Give me a reasonable explanation, and I'll agree."
Teresa didn't have a reasonable explanation. She just wasn't confident in herself. She was afraid she would fall for him again!
She really didn't want to get caught up in emotional turmoil again. For her, every heartbreak could be a fatal blow.
"I just don't want to be friends with a playboy like you. Do I need a reason?"
Frank laughed, "Well, you don't really need a reason. But now that I know about your family's situation, I can't just sit by and do nothing. You're Katherine's relative, so I can't ignore you."
"The only reason Katherine acknowledges me is because she loves Alex. Otherwise, I wouldn't have the right to call myself her relative! Over the years, she has had a hard time because of Alex, and now he is still missing! So you don't need to feel obligated to help me because of that!"
"If you don't want to accept my help, you can't refuse Katherine's help, right?"
Teresa emphasized seriously, "Don't tell Katherine! Don't you hear what I just said? She already has had a hard time because of Alex, and I don't want to trouble her anymore!"
Frank continued pursuing her, "You don't really get Katherine! Think about it from another perspective. If you won't accept help for yourself, what about your family? Can you stand to see your parents constantly struggling with business pressures? These are problems that can be easily solved."
