Chapter 82 Boss, We Missed You So Much

Frank's lips curled into a crooked smile as he softly said, "Katherine, long time no see. I've missed you so much."

Before Katherine could respond, Sherry's voice came from behind her.

"Who's here?" Sherry asked.

Frank reined in his affectionate smile and elegantly said, "Hello, I'm Frank, the Vice President of Crescent Group."

Seeing the handsome man at the door, Sherry was already stunned. When she heard he was the Vice President of Crescent Group, she immediately enthusiastically pushed Katherine aside and said, "How could I let the Vice President come to pick me up personally?"

Frank smiled and said, "I'm here to pick up Ms. Hawthorne's benefactor and her sister. Of course, I can't be negligent."

Upon hearing this, Sherry's expression changed slightly. She didn't want to mention Katherine at all, but she had no choice. After all, Katherine was the one who found Ms. Hawthorne's phone. Now, Katherine was the link between her and Ms. Hawthorne.

So, Sherry pulled Katherine over, pretending to be affectionate. She linked her arms with her sister and said with a smile, "I've heard all about it. Katherine found Ms. Hawthorne's phone and returned it to her. Mr. Perez, we don't dare to accept the title of benefactor. The Galatea Family has always been honest and upright. Our parents taught us from a young age to be good people. This is our duty."

At this moment, Joshua and Lillian also came out to see what was happening and heard Sherry's words.

Frank looked up at the two elders behind them, his lips curling slightly as he praised, "Yes, it's clear that your parents have taught you well to raise such upright daughters."

Joshua felt proud and pretended to be modest, replied, "You're too kind!"

"Sir, please come in and have a cup of coffee at our home," Lillian advised.

Lillian invited him while greedily eyeing Frank. She thought this young man was exceptionally handsome and that, as the Vice President of Crescent Group, he would be a perfect match for her daughter, Sherry.

"No, thank you. Ms. Hawthorne is still waiting for us at the company." Frank politely said, "Ms. Galatea, let's go."

"Okay," Sherry giggled and nodded, eagerly following Frank in her high heels.

Katherine yawned with a bored expression and nonchalantly followed.

The car that came to pick them up was a stretched vintage limousine.

Sherry had ridden in many luxury cars, but she had never been in such a rare vintage car. She was so excited that she wanted to take a selfie and post it on Instagram to show off.

But since Mr. Perez from Crescent Group was also in the car, Sherry felt it would be inappropriate to take a selfie, as it would make her seem unsophisticated.

So, Sherry secretly took out her phone and quietly recorded a short video to post on Instagram.

The video angle captured the back of the driver, the steering wheel with the car's logo, and some of the expensive interior accessories.

Sherry captioned it, #On the way to a new gig, another day of hard work!#

Soon, people were liking and commenting on her post.

Sherry enjoyed the praise and envy in the Instagram comments and felt greatly satisfied.

Then she put away her phone and glanced at Katherine beside her. She was leaning back against the leather seat, resting her head and closing her eyes, looking completely relaxed and at ease, as if she were in her car, not showing any decorum.

In fact, this car did belong to Katherine. Even the driver in front and Mr. Perez were her employees.

Sherry rolled her eyes at Katherine in disdain. If it weren't for the fact that Katherine had the connection of finding Ms. Hawthorne's phone, she wouldn't have brought this country bumpkin to Crescent Group with her.

Katherine was just an illegitimate child.

Before long, the car arrived in front of the Crescent Group building in the city center and stopped.

Frank got out of the car and naturally walked to Katherine's side, bending down to open the door, and then politely said, "Ms. Galatea, please."

Katherine got out of the car with an expressionless face, as if she was used to it.

Sherry was annoyed by this but convinced herself that Mr. Perez had just randomly chosen to open Katherine's door and wasn't giving her special treatment.

Unwilling to accept being treated less favorably than Katherine, Sherry didn't get out from her side but instead moved over to Katherine's side to exit. However, before she could step out, Frank casually closed the door.

In the end, she had to open the door herself to get out.

Frank led them into Crescent Tower, took the elevator, and arrived at the CEO's office.

He directly pushed open the office door, knocked twice casually, and said in a relaxed tone, "Ms. Hawthorne, the two Ms. Galatea you wanted to see are here."

In the spacious CEO's office, a woman in a tailored suit was sitting behind the desk, looking down at the documents in her hand.

The woman's casual medium-length curly hair was simply tied in a low ponytail. A strand of hair was casually tucked behind her ear, and her fair and charming face was adorned with a pair of simple and exquisite gold-rimmed glasses, exuding a relaxed yet mature aura of a strong woman.

After bring the guests here, Frank's task was complete. He lazily sat on a nearby sofa, ready to watch the show.

Ambrosia put down the documents and looked up, her gold-rimmed glasses reflecting slightly. Her gaze immediately fell on Katherine.

Seeing this, Sherry stepped forward, deliberately blocking Katherine, and said with a bright smile, "Ms. Hawthorne, hello, I'm Sherry. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Ambrosia nodded slightly, and then asked, "Hello, Ms. Galatea. On the phone, you mentioned you were willing to be the spokesperson for our new product, right?"

Sherry eagerly replied, "Of course, it's an honor to collaborate with Crescent Group."

Ambrosia's lips curved into a faint and indifferent smile, saying, "Good. I'll have someone show you our new product. Before becoming our spokesperson, you need to understand our product first."

"Alright," Sherry agreed.

Sherry felt a bit undervalued. They had just arrived and hadn't even sat down before being asked to leave again. She felt that Ms. Hawthorne seemed less courteous than she had been on the phone.

Ms. Hawthorne's secretary, Mia King, came in and invited Sherry to see the product.

As Sherry followed Mia to the office door, she turned back to see that Katherine hadn't followed but had actually sat down.

Sherry called out in displeasure, "Katherine, what are you standing there for? Come on!"

Ambrosia interjected, "No, this Ms. Galatea will stay. I have something to discuss with her."

Sherry was taken aback and felt being treated unfairly, rebutting, "Ms. Hawthorne, she's my sister but also my assistant. I won't be comfortable if she is not following me."

Ambrosia's expression didn't change, but her tone seemed to cool. Then she assured, "Don't worry; our company staff will take good care of you."

"Alright." Sherry couldn't argue further, though she was curious about what Ms. Hawthorne wanted to say to Katherine. But she had no reason to stay and listen.

Sherry thought that Ambrosia probably just wanted to thank Katherine for returning her phone. She thought, 'What else could Ambrosia possibly have to say to a country girl like her? '

No matter how unhappy Sherry was, she had to follow Mia out.

With no outsiders in the office, Ambrosia immediately stood up, walked around the desk, and naturally started massaging Katherine's shoulders, saying, "Katherine, you finally found time to visit the company."
