Chapter 666 Don't Agitate Her
Frank wasn't his usual playful self today. He got all serious and said, "Look, he might not be an outsider to you, but to the Melville family, he totally is. The Melvilles are trying hard to keep this under wraps, and you went and told someone not even related? Do you get what could happen if he spills the beans?"
Teresa paused, realizing her mistake, and grabbed her phone. "I'll tell Anthony to keep his mouth shut."
She quickly sent a message to Anthony.
Frank sighed, clearly frustrated. "The cops are already doing a DNA test on the body they found yesterday. The official process is slow. Let's wait for the results. What if it's not Mr. Melville?"
Teresa hoped it wasn't Alex, but the police had found Alex's messed-up ID on the disfigured body yesterday.
Frank continued, "Until we confirm who that body is, we can't let Katherine know about this, got it?"
Teresa nodded. "I know. I called Katherine yesterday because I freaked out. Thank God you stopped me, or I would've really hurt her."
Frank handed her a napkin from the table. "Alright, if you need to cry, just let it out."
Teresa took the napkin and wiped her tears. "No matter what, we have to find out who killed Alex and make them pay!"
Frank nodded, but he still had doubts about Alex's death.
At the Melville mansion.
Sophia got the news in the morning and rushed over. She couldn't believe Alex had passed away.!
A servant led her into the mansion.
In the living room, Fiona sat alone on the sofa, looking lost and crying her eyes out.
Sophia hurried over. "Fiona, where's Alex?"
Fiona snapped out of her daze and looked at Sophia, her eyes empty. "You heard what happened yesterday, right? What can I say?"
Sophia's eyes filled with tears. "No, I don't believe it."
Fiona, still crying, said, "Do you think I want to believe it?"
Sophia thought Fiona might not have the full story. She started looking around. "Where are Jackie and Sandra? They must know something! That body might not be Alex!"
Fiona weakly replied, "Sandra fainted when she heard the news, and Jackie had a heart attack. They're both in their rooms with the family doctor. You shouldn't go in and upset them."
Sophia took a step back, shocked. "How could this happen! Yesterday, he was fine at the office. How did Alex end up at an abandoned factory in the middle of nowhere?"
Fiona ignored Sophia. It was too late to change anything now.
Sophia, in her panic, remembered that her dad had connections at the police station, and quickly called him.
After hearing the latest from her dad's friend at the station, Sophia's face changed.
She wiped her tears as she sat on the couch and choked out to Fiona, "Where's Katherine? With all this going on, hasn't she come back yet?"
Mentioning Katherine, Fiona warned, "Katherine can't know about this! Sandra said Alex is probably dead, and Katherine's carrying Alex's only child. We can't let anything happen to her or the baby. We can't let her be shocked!"
Sophia seemed to mull it over, then nodded while wiping her tears. "Sandra's right! Fiona, I can't keep it together, so I won't go in and disturb Jackie and Sandra! I'll have my dad's people look into what happened. We have to avenge Alex!"
With that, Sophia wiped her tears again and left.
Outside the Melville mansion, Sophia made a call from her car, instructing the person on the other end, "Find out where Katherine is right now. I want an answer in ten minutes!"
Sunny got home to find Katherine absentmindedly eating lunch. She was hungry, but the food tasted bland.
"You're just having lunch?" Sunny walked over and glanced at the food on Katherine's plate like he was inspecting it.
It was a nutritious meal prepared by the professional nutritionist Bernard had hired, and it looked pretty fancy.
Katherine snapped out of her daze and glanced at Sunny. "You're back."
Sunny nodded and sat across from her. "You should eat quickly! The food's gonna get cold."
Katherine absentmindedly stuffed a piece of beef into her mouth and noticed Sunny frowning like he was deep in thought.
She raised an eyebrow. "What are you thinking about? Did Ambrosia ignore you again?"
Sunny, looking frustrated, rubbed his chin. "I feel like Ambrosia's acting weird today, like she's hiding something from me! And Bernard, he's been acting strange too, even gave me time off."
Katherine didn't know or care about any of this.
She couldn't eat anymore and picked up her phone to watch videos.
As she scrolled, she saw the news about an explosion at an abandoned factory in the suburbs. She watched for a bit before moving on to other videos.
At that moment, the Mitchell family's butler approached. "Ms. Galatea, Mr. Sunny Mitchell, you have a guest."
Sunny snapped out of his thoughts. "A guest? Who?"
The butler shook his head. "I don't know her. But she said she was here specifically to see Ms. Galatea and introduced herself as Sophia."
Hearing the name, Katherine raised an eyebrow.
How did Sophia find her here?
Sunny suddenly remembered Ambrosia's instructions at noon, telling him to keep an eye on Katherine and avoid exposing her to media news to prevent unnecessary stress.
That Sophia was clearly trouble, always causing misunderstandings between Katherine and Alex.
Her visit now, no matter the reason, would only stress Katherine out!
Thinking of this, Sunny immediately instructed his butler, "We don't know her! Don't let her in!"
