Chapter 912 An Unexpected Guest
Teresa spent over two hours in high heels toasting with the guests, so exhausted that she could barely stand. After finally seeing off a wave of guests, she collapsed into Frank's arms to rest.
"Getting married is so tiring! I don't want to do it again!"
Frank supported her, raising an eyebrow with a smile, "You want to do it again?"
Teresa pouted, "Who knows! What if one day you find marriage boring and dump me to go back to your wild single life? I can't just stay single because of a heartless guy like you!"
Frank pinched her cheek, "Don't be silly! On such a happy day, why say such unlucky things? If I still longed for the single life, why would I be in a hurry to marry you? Are you silly?"
Teresa's face was deformed by his pinch, and she complained with a frown, "If you pinch me like this, my makeup will come off, okay? Do you know I woke up at 4 AM to have a makeup artist spend two hours on this look? Take your hand off!"
Frank obediently let go and pecked her on the lips, "Sit here and wait. I'll call the makeup artist to touch up your makeup and bring you a pair of flats."
Teresa nodded and sat down on a chair to rest. Standing for so long had made her back sore.
She was telling the truth; getting married was really tiring!
Under the large skirt of her wedding dress, Teresa took off her high heels and stretched her sore feet.
She inadvertently looked up and saw Katherine sitting not far away, watching her with a teasing look in her eyes.
Teresa blushed, knowing that Katherine must have seen Frank kiss her just now!
She waved, signaling Katherine to come over and talk.
Katherine, who was watching Charles, George, and Edith eat cake, saw Teresa waving and instructed the accompanying servant to watch the children before getting up and walking over.
"Katherine, how did I do today?" Teresa asked with a grin, looking like a child eager for praise.
Katherine pulled out a chair and sat next to her, "You were elegant, very beautiful, and excellent!"
Being praised by Katherine made Teresa very proud, "I think I did great today too!"
Katherine looked at her, "You must be exhausted, right?"
Teresa shrugged, "Yeah, pretty tired, but it's worth it! This is the wedding I've always dreamed of. Everything went so smoothly, it was perfect! Enough for me to brag about for a lifetime!"
Katherine was amused by her cute demeanor and looked for a glass of juice on the table. Instead, she saw an unexpected guest.
Sophia, dressed in an expensive and dazzling evening gown, appeared at the wedding venue, gracefully walking towards them.
Katherine squinted her eyes. Why was she here?
Teresa noticed Katherine's change in expression and followed her gaze, frowning!
"It's her! How did that wicked woman come to my wedding? She's ruining my special day!"
Sophia knew she wasn't welcome. She came just to annoy Katherine.
She picked up a glass of red wine and toasted Teresa with a smile, "Miss, congratulations on your wedding!"
Teresa looked disgusted, almost ready to vomit, "Who wants your congratulations? Get out! You weren't invited to my wedding!"
Sophia didn't mind Teresa's outburst and looked at Katherine indifferently, "Katherine, you didn't wear makeup to the wedding?"
Katherine's eyes were cold as she looked at her, "Do you have a problem with that?"
Sophia smiled, "No! I just think wearing makeup to a wedding shows respect for the bride and groom. Coming so casually makes it seem like you don't value your friends."
Katherine didn't respond, but Teresa snapped back, "Get out! It's none of your business! Katherine looks a million times better without makeup than you do with it! Shameless woman, stop trying to stir up trouble here!"
Sophia's face changed slightly at Teresa's insult, but she smiled again, "Yes! Katherine, you're naturally beautiful, even without makeup you outshine everyone! But, how come you can't keep a man?"
Teresa cursed again, "You bitch! You forcibly took my uncle and trapped him so he couldn't come back to Katherine! How dare you say that? Do you think you can keep a man?"
Sophia glanced at Teresa and then said to Katherine, "Katherine, don't look at me so defensively. I'm not here to ruin the wedding. I came to tell you that my husband flew back to our home in Markovia this morning! I'll be going back soon too, and I'm preparing for pregnancy. I'll have a child with him soon."
Katherine's expression froze for a moment when she heard that Trevor had flown back to Markovia, but she quickly recovered and sneered, "Is that so?"
Sophia smiled, "Of course! My husband can't stop talking about starting a family with me!"
Her words were suggestive, implying something more intimate.
Katherine didn't say much, but Teresa was visibly disgusted. "If you don't leave, I'll call security to throw you out!"
Sophia calmly and smugly smiled at Teresa, "Don't worry, I'm leaving soon!"
Then, she leaned closer to Katherine and maliciously said, "Don't think he can come back to you. That's impossible! He's mine now, body and soul. We make love every night, and he says he loves me very much!
Katherine, don't think he's with me because of his amnesia! You don't know how tightly he holds me every night. Even if he regains his memory, he won't choose you!
His name is Trevor now, and Trevor says he hates boring women the most! And you, you're really a very boring woman, you know?"
Listening to Sophia's boastful words, Katherine's expression didn't change much.
Teresa couldn't take it for another second, "Security! There's a crazy woman here without an invitation, throw her out immediately!"
Hearing Teresa's shout, Sophia said one last thing to Katherine, "Don't wait for him, he won't come back to you! Find another man to marry soon, after all, you and my Trevor never registered your marriage!"
After saying that, she straightened up and elegantly walked away.
Teresa was so angry she pointed at Sophia's back and cursed, "This is infuriating! I just said my wedding was perfect, and then this bitch came to ruin it! Katherine, don't pay attention to her nonsense. She's just trying to upset you! If you let it get to you, she'll think she's won!"
