Chapter 341 Not Welcome Mr. Melville
Alex squinted at her and let out a cold laugh. "Ms. Galatea, you're pregnant with my child, and you still say it has nothing to do with me? What man would be okay with the mother of his child living with another guy?"
She was speechless.
She knew it. She should never have let Alex find out she was pregnant.
Once he knew, he wouldn't let her go, no matter what.
Leander Nelson soon drove them to Katherine's place—Crabapple Mansion.
Katherine got out of the car, looking dejected, and walked towards the entrance.
Alex followed closely behind her, not letting her out of his sight.
She knew she couldn't shake him off, so she gave up and let him follow.
Inside, Katherine said, "Alex, rest up. I'll get you some water."
She headed towards the kitchen but didn't get far.
Alex grabbed her by the collar like a helpless rabbit and said coldly, "No need. I don't want water. Just pack your things now!"
Katherine frowned, clearly reluctant.
Seeing her defiance, Alex's eyes darkened. "Are you going to pack, or should I do it for you?"
Katherine stiffened and pursed her lips, still not speaking.
Determined to take her away, Alex let go of her collar and headed to her room.
He knew which one it was from the last time she changed clothes.
Seeing him really about to pack her things, Katherine hurried to stop him. "No! I'll pack myself. You wait in the living room!"
She knew he was serious about packing her things, and she didn't want him seeing her bras and panties.
Alex, satisfied, stopped and went to wait in the living room.
Sighing, Katherine rubbed her temples and resignedly walked into her room.
Dealing with such a powerful man, she had no choice but to pack and go with him, planning to figure out what to do later.
Alex sat on the sofa, lost in thought.
Waiting for Katherine, he remembered the last time he was here, thinking she had married someone else.
It was heart-wrenching and made him furious.
Now, though his mood was still bad, it was better than last time. At least he knew Katherine was still single.
Alex's dark eyes scanned the house, clearly displeased. The decor was nice, but knowing Katherine lived here with another man made everything feel off.
Bored, he picked up a magazine from a small shelf next to the sofa and started flipping through it.
"Meow~"
A cat's meow caught his attention. He looked up to see a large, fat white cat watching him warily.
Alex frowned, eyeing the unfriendly cat. He'd never had a pet and wasn't fond of furry things. But since Katherine raised this cat, he felt a bit of affection by association.
After a moment, he closed the magazine, sat up straight, and extended a hand, beckoning the cat with a cold tone. "Come here."
"Meow!!!"
The cat bared its teeth at him instead of coming over.
Alex was displeased. It wasn't just that the cat didn't like him; he remembered it being affectionate towards Frank. His love raised a cat that liked another man. Who could be happy about that?
Just then, the door unlocked, and Frank walked in, stretching lazily. Seeing a strange man in the living room, Frank froze mid-stretch. After a few seconds, he shook it off, straightened up, and smiled naturally.
"Well, well! Look who’s here! What a surprise! Mr. Melville, what brings you here today? Where's my wife? Why didn’t she offer you something to drink? That's a bit rude!"
Hearing Frank say "wife," Alex's brows furrowed. Leaning lazily against the back of the sofa, his long legs crossed, he coldly stared at Frank. "Who is your wife?"
Sensing the hostility, Frank felt uneasy. Was Alex here to cause trouble? He glanced towards the main bedroom, seeing Katherine inside.
Frank smiled. "You already know my wife, don't you? It's Katherine!"
Alex's eyes narrowed menacingly. "Really? Are you sure she's your wife?"
Feeling the pressure, Frank replied, "Of course, I'm sure! Mr. Melville, don't you remember? We told you we were married last time you visited."
Alex sneered, his eyes full of sarcasm.
Frank, unwilling to back down, walked over and sat on the sofa. "Alex, we're both men. We should understand each other. So I'll be straight with you. It's not that you're not welcome, but Katherine is too adorable. You, always visiting when I'm not home, can cause misunderstandings. So, unless it's urgent, please try to aviod coming over next time."
Alex answered, "I indeed won't be coming again."
