Chapter 782 I Can't Stand Seeing You Bullied

Seeing Delbert still standing there with his mouth agape in surprise, Frank knocked on the table, "What's wrong? Don't believe my business card is real?"

Delbert picked up the card, looked at Frank's designer suit and the aura of a high-level executive, and still had some doubts.

"If you want me to believe your identity, get me a job at the Crescent Group!"

Hearing Delbert's demand, Frank laughed, "You really have the nerve to ask!"

Delbert crossed his arms, looking quite aggressive, "What? Can't do it? If you can't, it means you're a fake!"

Frank smiled, "Actually, I don't need to prove my identity to you at all. But, given your impressive academic background, I don't mind giving you a chance to work at our company."

Hearing Frank's statement, Teresa looked at him in surprise.

Delbert seemed like someone with a degree but lacking practical skills. Why would Frank want to hire such a person?

Delbert was delighted to hear this. Although the blind date didn't work out, getting a job at a big company was an unexpected bonus!

"Mr. Perez, you really have a knack for spotting talent. So, what position do you have in mind for me?"

Frank smiled, "You'll find out tomorrow. I guarantee you'll get the recognition you deserve."

Delbert happily slipped Frank's business card into his pocket, "Mr. Perez, I'll take this card to your HR department tomorrow!"

With that, he got up to leave, not wanting to disturb Frank and Teresa any longer.

After all, he was initially only interested in Teresa's looks!

"Wait," Frank called out to him again.

Delbert now saw Frank as his prospective boss and couldn't help but be more polite, "Is there something else, Mr. Perez? Do you have any other instructions for me?"

Frank sat upright in his chair, raising an eyebrow at him, "I haven't mentioned the condition for you to join our company yet. Why are you in such a hurry to leave?"

Delbert asked curiously, "What condition?"

Frank said, "You've seen my business card. I'm just the vice president. Our company's president is a woman, and she has a strict policy: every employee must respect women. Your recent comments to Teresa were quite disrespectful."

Delbert frowned and explained, "Mr. Perez, I was just too angry at the time. Teresa insulted me first!"

Teresa, who had been silent for a long time, couldn't help but interject, "I insulted you first? How can you lie like that? You clearly insulted me first!"

Delbert glared at Teresa. In front of Frank, he couldn't afford to insult Teresa again. To secure a good job, Delbert forced a smile, "Ms. Harris, let's not argue about who said what first! Anyway, I apologize for making you unhappy earlier!"

Teresa looked at his hypocritical face with extreme disdain, "I don't accept your apology!"

Delbert didn't care whether Teresa accepted or not; he was just putting on a show for Frank.

"Mr. Perez, I've already apologized to Ms. Harris. Doesn't that show I'm respecting women?"

Frank rested one arm on the chair's armrest, supporting his head with one hand, and said, "When I first arrived, what were you planning to do to Teresa?"

Delbert's face stiffened, and he forced a smile, "I was just very angry at the time. Besides, Mr. Perez, you stopped me in time, and I didn't actually do anything."

Frank turned his head to Teresa and said calmly, "Teresa, you shouldn't let anyone push you around. You need to stand up for yourself."

As he spoke, he glanced at the glass of orange juice next to Teresa, making his meaning clear!

Teresa understood Frank's intention. Already extremely disgusted with Delbert, she didn't care about her image anymore. She removed the straw from the glass, picked up the orange juice, and splashed it on Delbert's face.

Delbert didn't have time to react and was drenched in sticky juice. The most expensive suit he wore for the blind date was ruined!

His temper flared up instantly, and he raised his hand, "You bit..."

Frank lightly coughed, "Mind your manners, Delbert. Show some respect to women!"

Delbert's movement froze, stopping before he could curse.

Patience was a virtue! He couldn't afford to lose this hard-won job at a big company!

So, he forced a strained smile, "Ms. Harris, if this makes you feel better, I'm willing to accept it."

Then he looked at Frank, "Mr. Perez, does this count as respecting women now?"

Frank didn't even bother to look at him, "You can leave now."

Delbert asked cautiously, "So, can I start at Crescent Group tomorrow?"

Frank nodded, "Yes."

Delbert smiled with relief and glared at Teresa secretly, "Mr. Perez, I'll leave now and not disturb you any longer!"

Watching Delbert leave with a smug look, Teresa frowned at Frank, "Why are you letting him join the company? He clearly doesn't truly respect women!"

Frank's eyes softened with a gentle smile, "I know."

Teresa was puzzled, "Then why is he starting tomorrow?"

Frank looked at Teresa's displeased expression, "He bullied you. Splashing juice on him isn't enough. By letting him join the company, I can take my time to deal with him."

Teresa was stunned and quickly avoided eye contact with Frank, "He just said some unpleasant things. It's not like he actually bullied me. Besides..."

Frank leaned close to her ear, "Besides what?"

He was so close that his warm breath brushed against her ear, making her nervous.

"Besides, his bullying me has nothing to do with you!" Teresa avoided looking at Frank, afraid he would see her blushing.

Unexpectedly, Frank rested his chin on her shoulder, speaking in a very suggestive tone, "Who says it has nothing to do with me? I can't stand anyone treating you like that."

Feeling the sudden weight on her shoulder, Teresa called out uncomfortably, "You... sit across from me! It's too hot being this close!"

Frank sensibly lifted his chin, smiling, "The restaurant has air conditioning. Why are you hot? Do you feel hot because I'm close to you?"

His words had a special meaning.

Teresa's face turned even redder, and she turned to him unhappily, "If you keep talking nonsense, I'll get mad!"
