Chapter 820 Choosing a Wedding Dress

In the evening, Sophia, pushing Trevor in his wheelchair, walked out of the suite with George.

Brent was already waiting at the elevator with Nora and Linda.

Seeing Sophia pushing Trevor over, Brent said disdainfully, "This morning, you said you were too sick to pick me up, but now you're heading out for dinner. Guess you're feeling better, huh?"

Ignoring Brent's sarcasm, Trevor remained calm, "I'm sorry, I didn't realize it mattered that much to you. Sophia suggested I stay home with Julian. It was my mistake. Next time, I'll make sure to pick you up."

His words seemed polite but carried a hint of irony, implying that Brent, despite his age, still liked to bicker with the younger generation.

Brent naturally caught Trevor's meaning and glared at him, ready to retort.

Sophia defended him, "Alright, Dad, it was my decision not to let him go out in the morning because I didn't want him to be exhausted. If you want to blame someone, blame me! Don't hold it against Trevor. He really wasn't feeling well today and only felt a bit better after taking some medicine this afternoon!"

Brent gave Sophia some face and didn't scold Trevor further, saying unhappily, "Fine, hurry up and get this disabled person into the elevator. Nora and I are hungry!"

Nora subtly tugged on Brent's arm, signaling him not to be so excessive in his speech.

Sophia felt helpless. Although Brent accepted Trevor because he loved her, he could never really like Trevor.

She sighed and then carefully pushed Trevor in his wheelchair into the elevator.

Waiting for them downstairs was a van equipped with a ramp for the wheelchair. Sophia easily pushed Trevor onto the van, with George closely following behind.

Once everyone was on board, the driver started the vehicle and hit the road.

George sat next to Trevor, very unhappy with Brent's earlier remarks about Trevor. Throughout the ride, he glared at Brent, his little face full of resentment.

At first, Brent was talking quietly with Nora, but later he felt Georges' angry stare and turned to look at him, "Julian, what kind of look is that? Who allowed you to look at me like that? Do you know I'm your grandfather?"

George had disliked the arrogant Brent from the moment they met. He rolled his eyes and made a face at him, unwilling to engage.

Brent frowned and said unhappily, "You little brat!"

Brent, who already didn't like George because he wasn't his own blood, was even more displeased by his disrespect. He raised his hand, intending to give him a spanking to teach him a lesson!

Nora pulled him back, "Come on, why are you arguing with a child? Julian is still young, and kids are naturally mischievous!"

Brent glared at George and planned to give him a good spanking when Nora wasn't around.

Linda secretly gave George a thumbs-up, admiring his courage. She had never seen anyone dare to be so rude to Brent!

Twenty minutes later, the van arrived at the restaurant.

Sophia pushed Trevor out of the van and followed Brent into the restaurant.

This famous restaurant was renowned for its delicious food. The private rooms were extremely hard to book, and the owner was a very mysterious and unique character who never considered the guests' status or background, only arranging private rooms based on the order of reservations.

No matter who they were, what their status or background was.

If they could book it, they could book it.

If they couldn't, they couldn't.

Before going abroad, Brent loved the food here. This time, upon his rare return, he didn't even consider those so-called five-star hotels but thought of this restaurant first.

However, because he made the reservation on the same day, he couldn't get a private room and had to find a quieter spot in the main hall.

They sat around the table. Brent first took the menu and ordered a few of his favorite dishes, then some of Nora and Linda's usual favorites, and finally handed the menu to Sophia.

Sophia took the menu and first asked Trevor, "Trevor, what would you like to eat?"

Trevor replied, "I'm fine with anything. Just order some light dishes for Julian."

Sophia was a bit disappointed that Trevor only cared about what the kid wanted to eat and didn't show any concern for her in front of Brent.

But she still nodded and followed Trevor's suggestion, ordering some light dishes for George.

After ordering, Sophia handed the menu to the waiter and then found a topic to chat with Brent about, to avoid any awkwardness at the table and prevent Brent from getting annoyed with Trevor again.

"Dad, now that you're here in person, those matters should be resolved within a week, right?"

Brent replied, "You don't need to worry about those things. They will be resolved soon, and then we can all go back home together."

Sophia smiled, "Yes, I believe with you handling it, those people won't dare to cause any more trouble! Once those matters are settled, Trevor and I can start planning our wedding! Dad, I've already booked the best wedding dress designer in the world. Once we get back, we can take measurements and order the dress!"

Seeing Sophia's happy smile, Brent felt pleased as well, "Well, once you two have your wedding, I plan to hand over the family business to you and retire."

Sophia had been looking forward to this day but still pretended to be reluctant, "Dad, you're still young! Why retire so early?"

Brent looked tenderly at Nora beside him, "I've long promised Nora that I would retire to the countryside with her, buy a farm, and live a simple rural life."

Sophia glanced at Nora, "Alright. Don't worry, I'll manage the business you built up well and won't let you down! But, if you hand over the family business to me, won't Linda have any objections?"

Before Brent could speak, Nora smiled and said, "Sophia, you're overthinking it! Linda's dream has always been to be an artist and support herself with her art. She doesn't have a business mind and wouldn't be able to manage the company. Brent's business is best handed over to you."

Sophia smiled, "In that case, I won't force Linda. Managing a business is indeed not easy and requires a lot of effort. It's much more relaxing to be a carefree artist!"

Linda knew that Sophia was secretly pleased. Sophia never considered her a sister and never intended to share Brent's business with her.
