Chapter 86 Ms. Galatea, Actually, I Fell in Love with You at First Sight

Frank sighed helplessly and said, "Katherine climbed out of the office window and then climbed back in through the bathroom window. That's all."

Ambrosia frowned deeply and yelled, "This is the 30th floor!"

Frank shrugged and said, "Isn't my outdoor climbing gear in the lounge? Katherine made good use of it. And you know her skills. This level of difficulty is nothing for her."

Ambrosia took off her gold-rimmed glasses and rubbed her temples, asking, "What about the person inside?"

"The one inside is Mia. Katherine had her change clothes, put on a mask, and pretend to be busy," he answered.

"...Katherine is really clever," Ambrosia remarked.

Frank squinted thoughtfully and said, "Ambrosia, why is Katherine so resistant to Alex finding out she's Moon?"

Ambrosia glanced at him and reminded him, "Katherine must have her reasons. We shouldn't speculate."

Frank stroked his chin and thought for a moment, saying, "I don't believe that Alex hasn't developed any feelings for Katherine. I'm going to test him."

Ambrosia looked at him with disdain, saying, "What are you going to test? Don't mess around and make Katherine angry."

"Don't worry about it. Wait for my good news!" Frank waved with a smile and quickly walked towards the elevator.

Inside the slowly descending elevator, "Have you had lunch yet?" Alex asked.

Alex's deep and husky voice echoed in the enclosed space, making people feel nervous and excited.

Sherry, standing next to him, was flattered and blushed, shyly answering, "Not yet. Mr. Melville, have you eaten?"

Alex's slender shape eyes were indifferent and distant, making it hard to tell who he was talking to.

Since there were only Leander and Katherine in the elevator beside them, Sherry naturally assumed Mr. Melville was asking her.

But Alex didn't immediately respond to her, making Sherry feel a sense of distance.

Sherry thought for a moment and then proactively said, "Mr. Melville, if you haven't eaten either, why don't I treat you to lunch as an apology for Katherine getting you burned last night?"

Alex still didn't respond immediately, his deep gaze fleetingly sweeping over Katherine standing in the corner of the elevator.

Katherine was casually scrolling through her phone, not even looking up.

Alex's eyes darkened, and after a moment of thought, he said one word indifferently, "Alright."

Hearing him accept her invitation, Sherry was thrilled. That was great that he agreed to have lunch with her.

This meant Mr. Melville must have some feelings for her. Otherwise, why would he agree?

At this moment, Katherine looked up and said sensibly, "Sherry, can I take a leave later? I'm a bit tired and want to go home and rest."

Sherry, feeling that Katherine was in the way, agreed without thinking. "Sure, you can go home and rest. I'll give you the afternoon off."

Katherine had already anticipated this result and was not surprised, nodding with a smile. "Thank you!"

Alex's brow furrowed; Katherine clearly didn't want to have lunch with him.

"Ms. Galatea is supposed to apologize to me, so why isn't the main culprit coming?" Alex questioned.

Sherry was stunned and embarrassed, quickly explaining, "Mr. Melville, Katherine wants to go home and rest. I don't think we should force her. I'll apologize to you on her behalf."

Alex sneered, "It seems Ms. Galatea isn't sincere about apologizing, so forget it."

Sherry panicked, "No, no! I'm very sincere." She then pulled Katherine over and scolded, "Katherine, it was you who offended Mr. Melville yesterday. It's your responsibility. So you must come along for lunch and properly apologize to Mr. Melville. You can go home and rest after we finish eating."

Katherine frowned and reluctantly pouted, "Alright."

Alex's handsome eyes narrowed as he glanced at her, a slight smile playing on his lips.

Ding!

The elevator doors opened.

Alex, hands in his pockets, strode out, with Leander following closely behind.

Sherry, pulling Katherine along, hurried out as well, afraid that the man in front might leave first and forget about having lunch with her.

"Ms. Galatea, please wait a moment!" Frank called out.

Suddenly hearing someone call her, Sherry stopped and turned around, only to see Frank, the Vice President of Crescent Group, quickly walking out from another elevator, smiling at her.

Sherry confidently turned around and asked with a smile, "Mr. Perez, did you come out specifically to find me? Is there something else you need to discuss about the endorsement?"

Frank glanced at her briefly, and then looked directly past her to Katherine, saying, "I'm not looking for you. I'm looking for this, Ms. Galatea."

Sherry's expression froze, but she forced a smile. "I see... Katherine, come over here. Mr. Perez is looking for you."

As she turned to call Katherine, she didn't forget to glare at her secretly.

Katherine walked over with a puzzled look, staring at Frank curiously, asking, "What's up, Mr. Perez?"

Frank suddenly took a step toward her, his smile ambiguous. He said, "There were too many employees upstairs just now, so I didn't feel comfortable speaking up. Ms. Galatea, I wanted to ask if you have a boyfriend."

Katherine frowned in confusion.

What was Frank up to?

Before Katherine could answer, Frank continued seriously, "Ms. Galatea, if you don't have a boyfriend, can you give me a chance to pursue you?"

Katherine twitched her mouth, looking at Frank as if he were crazy.

But Frank wasn't done yet. "Ms. Galatea, I admit, I fell in love with you at first sight. I hope you can give me a chance to get close to you," he added.

Sherry, standing nearby, was already dumbfounded, gritting her teeth in anger.

She thought, 'Damn, it!'

'Why Katherine?'

'How could Katherine make Mr. Perez fall in love with her at first sight? '

Katherine forced a dry smile and answered, "Mr. Perez, let's talk somewhere else."

With that, Katherine walked past him to a more distant spot.

Frank smirked secretly, turned, and followed Katherine a bit further away, but he could clearly feel a cold gaze tightly fixed on them.

Once they were far enough, Katherine asked him, "Frank, what are you doing?"

Frank didn't answer directly; instead, he raised his voice on purpose. "Thank you, Ms. Galatea, for giving me a chance! Here's my business card. It has my private number. I'll be waiting for your call later!"

With that, Frank forcibly shoved his business card into Katherine's hand, then opened his arms and gave her a quick hug before running off, getting back into the elevator, leaving Katherine bewildered.

Katherine thought, 'Is Frank out of his mind?'

Katherine muttered to herself, turning back around only to meet a pair of dark, intense eyes.

Alex's expression was unreadable, his gaze cold and fixed on her.

Because of Frank's confession, Sherry rolled her eyes in anger, secretly gritting her teeth.

Remembering her lunch date with Mr. Melville, Sherry quickly put on a smile and sweetly asked Alex, "Mr. Melville, what should we eat later?"
