Chapter 446 I Overestimated You

"I finished writing. Now, buy me those ten Hermès bags you promised!"

Katherine flipped through the workbook. All answers were correct. "How do I know you did this yourself?"

Fiona frowned. "It's my handwriting. Compare it with my other books!"

Katherine scoffed. "I'm not asking if you wrote it. I'm asking if you solved it. Did you cheat?"

Fiona blinked nervously. "Who cheated? I was alone in my room doing this yesterday. Even if I wanted to cheat, there was no one to copy from!"

Katherine clicked her tongue. "You could still look up the answers online!"

Fiona turned away, avoiding eye contact. "What internet? I don't have a computer in my room!"

"No computer, but you have a phone!"

"Katherine! Are you trying to back out?"

Katherine slapped the workbook onto Fiona. "I'm not backing out. Prove you solved these problems yourself, and I'll take you to Hermès right now. Pick whatever you want!"

Fiona was tempted. "How do you want me to prove it?"

Katherine said, "Hand over your phone. Get another workbook and do it in front of me. If you get half right, you win!"

Fiona hesitated, frowning. "That's unfair. I already finished it, and now you want me to redo it!"

Katherine smiled. "If you were confident, you wouldn't argue. You'd just do it!"

Fiona was stuck. "Fine! I'll redo it! Just wait, I'll get it!"

She stormed off to get another workbook. "Where do I write?"

Katherine led her to the bedroom and pointed to the couch. "Hand over your phone and sit there to write!"

Fiona reluctantly handed over her phone, warning, "Don't look at my phone!"

Katherine looked uninterested. "Don't worry; I won't."

Fiona huffed.

Katherine ignored her, took the phone, and went to freshen up.

When she came out, she saw Fiona struggling with a problem.

Katherine smirked.

Just then, someone knocked on the door. She opened it.

Anton stood outside, looking worried. "Mrs. Melville, is Ms. Melville disturbing you again?"

Katherine waved her hand. "It's fine. She's doing her homework here!"

Homework?

Anton thought he misheard. He looked where Katherine pointed and saw Fiona indeed doing problems in Alex and Katherine's room, which was unbelievable.

Katherine calmly said, "Don't worry, she won't cause trouble. Anton, please have breakfast sent to my room. I need to supervise Fiona doing her homework!"

Anton nodded. "No problem. I'll have breakfast sent up right away. Mrs. Melville, if Ms. Melville misbehaves, just call me."

Katherine made an ”OK “gesture and closed the door.

By the time Katherine finished breakfast, Fiona had only completed a few pages of the workbook.

Katherine didn't rush her, just sat quietly scrolling through her phone.

Before they knew it, it was noon. Fiona finished the last page and handed the workbook to Katherine.

"I'm done! Let's see how you back out this time!"

Katherine put down her phone, took the workbook, and started flipping through it. She began to laugh.

Fiona felt uneasy. "What are you laughing at?"

Katherine shook her head. "I overestimated you!"

Fiona was annoyed. "What do you mean? Speak clearly!"

Katherine spread the workbook open on the table. "I shouldn't have given you a fifth-grade workbook. I should have given you a third-grade one!"

Fiona was stunned, then furious. "Katherine! Are you saying my intelligence is only at a third-grade level?!"

Katherine touched her chin, considering. "Maybe even lower, around second grade! You spent all morning and didn't get a single problem right. You don't even know the basics of elementary school. Fiona, I'm curious what you did in school?"

Fiona put her hands on her hips in anger. "Just because you say I got them wrong doesn't mean I did! I think you're just trying to back out! If you can't afford Hermès, don't make promises!"

Katherine remained calm. "If you don't believe me, we can send this workbook to your college classmates and let them grade it. How about that?"

Fiona, who cared a lot about her reputation, couldn't agree. "Katherine, you..."

Katherine handed her a tablet. "If you don't want to embarrass yourself in front of your classmates, learn everything in here."

Fiona was puzzled. "What's in here?"

Katherine stated, "I downloaded some lessons for you. Listen to them and redo the problems. If you get half right, my promise of ten Hermès bags still stands!"

"Katherine, are you teaching me?"

Katherine raised an eyebrow. "I'm teaching you how to solve problems. If you don't want me to teach you, I'll call Alex and have him come back to teach you. But if Alex finds out you don't even know elementary school material, he'll be very angry!"

Exasperated, Fiona couldn't let Alex return to teach her.

Knowing Katherine would really call Alex, Fiona reluctantly took the tablet, put on headphones, and started listening to elementary school lessons.

When Fiona was a child, she went to school just for fun. Due to her family's influence, no teacher dared to discipline her, so she never built a solid foundation, and her studies suffered. Later, she relied on her family's connections to get into middle school and college.

She didn't think poor grades mattered. She believed she didn't need to learn those things since she wouldn't need to work or support herself. Her family had plenty of money for her to spend, so why bother learning useless stuff?

Katherine making her relearn these useless things was just crazy!

After being forced to listen to an hour of lessons, Fiona erased the wrong answers in the workbook and rewrote them.
