Katherine tilted her head to look at the white horse beside her. It didn't seem as fierce as they described, and the name Sugar felt strangely familiar to her.
"Sugar," Katherine tried calling it.

Katherine twitched her mouth and shook her head. "Sugar has a good temperament. It just has a bit of an obsession."
"That's because you're amazing, Katherine! Others can't handle Sugar!" Teresa yelled out.
Sophie and Sunny also rode over.
Sunny looked at Katherine with bright and proud eyes. "Katherine, I didn't expect you to be so capable! Tell us, how did you get Laura's horse to listen to you?"
Katherine replied calmly, "There is no special technique. I just felt a connection with it, so I handled it."
Sophie couldn't stand Katherine giving herself so much credit! How could she talk about a connection?
She was a poor girl raised in the countryside. What kind of connection could she have with such a noble thoroughbred horse?
If it weren't for Alex bringing her here today, she probably wouldn't have ever come into contact with such an expensive thoroughbred horse in her lifetime!
Sophie sneered quietly, "Katherine, since you can handle Sugar so well, why don't we have a race?"

Sophie forced a stiff smile. "Katherine, the previous incident was a misunderstanding, and I already apologized to you! Can't you just let it go?"
When no one was around, Sophie showed her blatant hatred for her. In front of others, Sophie acted so naturally and kindly that it almost made one reluctant to expose her.
Katherine shrugged and smiled faintly. "I was just joking! If you want to race, I have no objections."
