Chapter 851 Still No News
Ambrosia couldn't quite explain why, but she just had a bad feeling.
So, she immediately took out her phone and called Katherine!
The phone rang endlessly, but no one answered!
After the busy signal ended, Ambrosia immediately called someone at the Melville Manor to ask if Katherine was home, and got a negative answer.
Ambrosia's unease grew stronger. She put away her phone and immediately asked Sunny, "When did Katherine leave the hospital?"
Sunny thought for a moment, "About an hour before you arrived! Bernard took her home! What's wrong?"
Ambrosia frowned, "Call Bernard now and ask if Katherine is with him. Hurry!"
Sunny didn't fully grasp why Ambrosia was so anxious, but seeing her urgency, he quickly dialed Bernard's number.
Actually, he was afraid to call Bernard, fearing he'd get scolded.
However, no one answered the phone!
Seeing Sunny holding the phone without speaking, Ambrosia guessed, "No one answered either?"
Sunny nodded, "Yeah, Bernard's phone isn't being answered either! What's wrong, Ambrosia? Are you worried about something?"
Ambrosia said, "When I went upstairs to find you, I saw Sophia. I have a feeling she didn't come alone; Alex is also in this hospital!"
Sunny's expression became serious, "Are you worried that Bernard and Katherine saw Alex and didn't leave the hospital?"
Ambrosia nodded, "Yes, I saw where Sophia went in the hospital. I'm going to look there now."
Sunny immediately followed, "I'll go with you!"
Ambrosia frowned, "You should go back and look after your father; he needs you more!"
Sunny grabbed Ambrosia's arm, "No way! I can't let you face that bitch alone! My dad is being watched by the home nurse, and he's not in any immediate danger. Besides, after seeing Katherine alive, he no longer has suicidal thoughts. It's okay if I come with you for a while!"
Ambrosia realized she couldn't shake off Sunny!
There was no time to waste; she needed to find Katherine quickly and ensure her safety!
Sophia would do anything to keep Alex by her side, and Ambrosia was worried that the extreme woman might harm Katherine again.
Without further argument, Ambrosia took Sunny downstairs with her!
The two of them arrived on the first floor, in a corridor that was eerily quiet, with no one in sight.
There were no medical staff or patients around; it seemed as if the area had been deliberately cleared!
Sunny looked around as he followed Ambrosia, "Ambrosia, are you sure Sophia came this way? Why is there no one here?"
Ambrosia put a finger to Sunny's lips, signaling him to be quiet.
Sunny fell silent, cautiously following Ambrosia and surveying the surroundings.
Suddenly, Ambrosia saw a puddle on the floor, possibly spilled water or a drink!
The important thing wasn't the puddle itself, but the fact that someone had stepped in it, leaving wet footprints on the floor.
Ambrosia looked at the series of still-damp footprints, clearly from high heels!
When she had just seen Sophia in the elevator, Sophia was wearing such stiletto heels.
Following the footprints, Ambrosia and Sunny found a consultation room!
The door was ajar, and they quietly approached to peek inside.
Sure enough, they saw Sophia sitting inside, talking to a doctor in a white coat.
Sophia crossed her legs and impatiently checked the time, "Dr. Tackett, isn't it done yet? Is it really that difficult?"
Rolf replied, "Mrs. Turner, please be patient! Your husband's condition is unique, and the process of collecting the sample is a bit challenging. But our nurse is a professional, so don't worry. Once she succeeds, she'll call me. If we go in now, we might interrupt your husband's mood, causing the collection to fail."
Sophia frowned, "What method is that nurse using on Trevor? She better not take advantage of him!"
Rolf gave a professional smile, "Mrs. Turner, you must have understood this process before coming to us. There will inevitably be some physical contact, but rest assured, she is very professional and won't cross any boundaries."
Sophia was still uneasy, "It better be!"
Rolf noticed Sophia's concern and curiously asked, "Mrs. Turner, I'm curious. When we discussed this before, I mentioned that you could personally handle the process. As Mr. Turner's wife, it would be most appropriate for you to do it. But you declined. I thought you didn't mind! Now it seems you do care about Mr. Turner's body being touched by others. Why didn't you choose to do it yourself?"
Rolf's question made Sophia's face darken. It wasn't that she didn't want to do it herself, but she was afraid of facing Alex's angry expression!
Yes, she knew Alex would be angry.
Alex would be upset if he knew she was planning to do that, and his anger might even affect his physical response.
After much thought, she decided it was better to let a professional handle it.
So she agreed to let Rolf have Clio complete the task.
But now, sitting here waiting, she couldn't help but overthink and imagine Clio touching Alex.
She couldn't stand it, jealousy swirling in her chest!
All these years, she hadn't had any intimate contact with Trevor, and now she had to let Clio do it.
"I'm afraid I won't do it well! If my mistake caused Trevor unnecessary suffering, it would be even worse! It's better to let professionals handle it!"
"Mrs. Turner, you're very understanding. Just relax and wait patiently. I believe we'll have results soon."
Sophia nodded, crossing her arms and waiting.
Another fifteen minutes passed, and Rolf's phone still hadn't rung.
Sophia couldn't stay calm, "Dr. Tackett, why don't you call her and ask how far along she is? It's been so long without any news!"
