Chapter 763 Have the Wrong Room

"Katherine, we're at the kindergarten!"

Sunny's voice snapped Katherine out of her daze.

"Okay, I'll go in and pick up the three of them. You guys wait in the car."

With that, Katherine got out of the car and walked alone towards the kindergarten gate.

Watching Katherine's somewhat unsteady figure, Sunny worriedly muttered, "Bernard, is Katherine okay?"

"You've got some nerve asking that!" Bernard's concerned gaze followed Katherine's retreating form. "If it weren't for you, Katherine wouldn't have found out about Alex and Sophia today!"

Sunny knew she was in the wrong and lowered her head, sighing.

Before long, Katherine came out of the kindergarten with Julian, Edith, and Charles.

Bernard and Sunny got out of the car one after the other.

"Uncle Bernard!"

"Uncle Bernard!"

Charles and Edith excitedly ran towards Bernard as soon as they saw him.

Bernard squatted down and opened his arms to welcome the two little ones.

Only Julian seemed a bit reserved, leaning against Katherine and holding her hand, obediently saying, "Uncle Bernard."

Hugging Charles and Edith, Bernard looked up at Julian clinging to Katherine.

He knew that the child wasn't George, but the one Alex had stolen three years ago, whom Alex had named Julian.

And Katherine hadn't noticed anything unusual yet.

Sunny stood to the side, arms crossed in mock displeasure. "You three little rascals, don't just call Uncle Bernard! What about me, your Uncle Sunny? Didn't you see me?"

The three little ones simultaneously looked at Sunny.

Charles had seen Sunny when he was younger and had some impression of him.

But Julian and Edith were seeing him for the first time and didn't recognize him!

They looked at Sunny, then at Bernard, as if comparing their looks. They did seem a bit alike.

Then, the three little ones turned their questioning gazes to Katherine.

Katherine nodded to the children. "Yes, he's your Uncle Bernard's brother. You can call him Uncle Sunny."

With Katherine's confirmation, Edith was the first to walk up to Sunny, raising her little face and asking adorably, "Will you be as good to us as Uncle Bernard?"

Sunny was so amused by Edith that he let out a chuckle, gently tapping her nose. "Of course! I love playing with kids. I can teach you all sorts of games. I'm really good at them!"

Edith wasn't interested in games, but Charles and Julian had their eyes light up.

"Uncle Sunny, what games can you play?"

"Uncle Sunny, when can you teach us to play games?"

Sunny was about to answer when Bernard interrupted with a warning cough. "Don't encourage the kids to be mischievous as soon as you get back! They're still young and shouldn't stare at screens for too long."

Sunny pouted but then smiled. "Got it! Don't worry, Bernard, I won't lead them astray!"

Katherine, somewhat absent-mindedly watching the kids interact with Bernard and Sunny, felt it was about time and said, "Mr. Bernard Mitchell, let's have a meal together at the restaurant near the kindergarten. Afterward, I'll have the driver pick us up, and you and Mr. Sunny Mitchell can head straight home."

Bernard, worried about Katherine but not wanting to upset her further, nodded. "Okay."

"Let's go! I will take you to eat something delicious!" Sunny bent down to pick up Edith, and Bernard picked up Charles.

Julian obediently held Katherine's hand and walked with her towards the nearby restaurant.

In the Hotel.

Sophia pushed Trevor around the garden for some fresh air before returning.

As she swiped the card to open the door, her eyes unconsciously glanced at the door of the suite opposite, deep in thought.

"Trevor, what do you want for dinner? We still have a lot of ingredients left from yesterday! I'll look up some simple recipes and cook for you and Julian!"

Trevor replied calmly, "Just make a vegetable salad and fry a few eggs."

Sophia smiled and nodded. "Okay! By the way, I accidentally broke the ketchup bottle I bought yesterday. Why don't you and Julian go inside and rest? I'll go buy another one and be right back."

Trevor nodded slightly without asking more and went inside with Julian.

After closing the door, Sophia didn't head straight to the elevator but instead knocked on the door of the suite opposite.

She always felt something was off about the people staying there and wouldn't feel at ease without checking.

After a long while, no one answered the door.

Sophia frowned. Was no one home? Or had they checked out?

She had clearly heard noises from that suite before they went downstairs!

She knocked again and waited for a while, but still, no one answered.

Since no one seemed to be staying there, she decided to go to the front desk to check the basic information of the previous occupants.

Just as Sophia was about to leave, hurried footsteps sounded from inside the suite, and a blonde woman with messy hair opened the door. "Who are you looking for?"

The woman looked disheveled, her silk robe hastily thrown on and hanging loosely.

Sophia felt embarrassed, realizing she had interrupted something, and quickly said, "Sorry, I must have the wrong room!"

The blonde woman cursed and slammed the door shut, clearly annoyed.

Sophia finally felt at ease and turned to go downstairs to buy ketchup.

Inside the suite, Billy handed the blonde woman a wad of cash. "Nice acting! Stay here for the next few days. If needed, make sure that woman sees you living here."

This was Katherine's arrangement. Katherine had predicted that Sophia would be suspicious of the suite and had Billy prepare for it.

The blonde woman took the money without hesitation, kissing it. "I can stay here, but are we just going to stay in the same suite and do nothing?"

Billy's expression remained stern as he glared at her. "Take the money and do your job! If you want more money, behave yourself and don't step out of line."

The blonde woman shrugged, disappointed. "You really don't know how to have fun, do you? Fine, no sex! I'll go back to my room to rest. Call me if you need anything, or you can come in and keep me company, handsome."
