Chapter 201 Katherine Packs Up and Leaves!
Seeing the old butler look frightened, a hint of smugness appearedon Sherry's face, and she emphasized again. "That's right, just as you heard, I am the real Mrs. Melville of the Melville family! I am the true mistress you servants should obey!"
Anton, who had always been knowledgeable and composed, couldn't help but laugh in the face of the arrogant Sherry.
A few young servants nearby couldn't hold back their laughter either!
Sherry felt very uncomfortable being laughed at by them. She frowned and glared. "Hey! What are you laughing at? Everything I said is true!"
Anton managed to hold back his laughter, cleared his throat, and returned to his usual polite demeanor.
He stated, "My apologies, Ms. Galatea, if you haven't woken up yet today, there are a few guest rooms on the first floor of Melville Manor. You can choose one and take a nap first."
Sherry said, "You..."
Seeing that Anton didn't show her any respect, Sherry felt both annoyed and helpless. "I can't explain it to you right now, nor do I have the time to deal with you servants! Just wait. You'll regret this later!"
Anton and the servants beside him felt no pressure and even looked at her with sympathetic gazes, as if they were caring for someone mentally unstable, showing a lot of tolerance.
Sherry, grinding her teeth in anger, couldn't intimidate the servants, so she raised her head and glared at Katherine, who was standing on the second floor with a relaxed and amused expression, and shouted angrily, "Katherine, what are you looking at? Hurry up and get down here! How long are you going to keep Dad waiting downstairs?"
Katherine covered her mouth and yawned slightly, then moved unhurriedly down the stairs, giving a calm instruction. "Anton, take everyone downstairs first. I'll entertain my 'family' alone."
Anton was a bit uneasy. "But..."
Aton felt that Mrs. Melville's family had ill intentions and weren't close to her. He worried that letting Mrs. Melville handle them alone would lead to her being bullied.
Katherine, seeing Anton's concern, smiled at him and said, "It's okay, they can't eat me."
Only then did Anton nod. "Yes!"
Ultimately, he respectfully followed Mrs. Melville's instructions and led the servants away, leaving only a few maids in the living room.
Without any bystanders in the way, Sherry quickly stepped forward, raised her hand, and was about to slap Katherine to vent her frustration!
Katherine, having anticipated this, accurately intercepted her wrist, raising an eyebrow slightly. "Sherry, why do you want to slap me when we just met? If people see this aggressive side of you, who would dare marry you in the future?"
Sherry, unable to lower her hand, felt extremely frustrated!
She didn't care about Katherine's opinion, but her last sentence struck a sensitive spot!
This was Melville's house. If she behaved too rudely and word got back to Mr. Melville, it might leave a bad impression and affect their future marital harmony. So, it was better to maintain a ladylike image.
Thinking of this, Sherry decided to let it go for now, planning to deal with Katherine later when the opportunity arose!
Sherry withdrew her hand, shook it disdainfully, and said angrily, "Dad is waiting for you in the living room. He has something to ask you! Hurry up and go!"
Katherine nodded and then leisurely walked towards the living room with a faint and polite smile on her face. "Mr. Galatea, Mrs. Galatea, long time no see."
Mr. Galatea?
Hearing this address, Joshua, who was already frowning, tightened his expression even more. "What did you call me?"
Katherine sat on a single sofa far from the family of three, took a sip of the Blue Mountain coffee a maid had specially brought her and then looked up. "I called you Mr. Galatea. Is there a problem? Isn't your last name Galatea?"
Ever since she found out she had no blood relation to Joshua, the word "Dad" couldn't come out of her mouth, and she didn't intend to say it again.
Joshua was neither her biological father nor had he raised her. He had thrown her into the countryside and never cared for her, so he didn't deserve to be called "father."
Joshua, burning with anger, glared at this daughter, who he found increasingly displeasing, and snorted heavily, reprimanding, "Katherine, don't think that just because you've married into the Melville family, you can forget who you are and refuse to recognize me as your father! You know very well how you became Mrs. Melville!"
Katherine raised her eyebrows, her eyes seemingly trembling with unease. "How did I become Mrs. Melville? Mr. Galatea, you seem to know already?"
Before Joshua could respond, Sherry excitedly interrupted, speaking imperiously, "Not only does Dad know, but Mom and I also know! Katherine, there's no airtight wall. Stop pretending. If you confess your crimes, I might show mercy, considering we're half-sisters!"
Katherine laughed. "You, show mercy to me? Sherry, tell me, what did I do to offend you that you had to come all the way to my house to show mercy?"
The words "my house" felt like a thorn to Sherry, giving her the feeling that something of hers had been taken over, which made her extremely displeased. "Your house? Katherine, you have the nerve to say that! This is obviously my house!"
Lillian, looking soft and gentle, leaned on Joshua's side and kindly advised, "Katherine, why are you so stubborn? We already know you married into the Melville family in Sherry's place. You can't hide it anymore! Admit your mistake to your father, and apologize to Sherry!"
Katherine squinted thoughtfully. "How did you find out about this?"
Her question sounded like an admission of guilt to the Galateas.
Joshua, growing angrier, raised his hand and pointed at her, scolding, "Katherine, how did I raise such an immoral daughter! No ethics, stealing Sherry's groom, making our family a laughingstock on the wedding day! If I had known, I would never have allowed you to return from the countryside!"
Katherine found his words laughable.
She came to Janetrick on her merit, earning a full scholarship to the university, not because Joshua allowed it.
Joshua dared to use the word "raise." Had he ever raised her for a day?
While watching Sherry confront Anton upstairs, Katherine had already understood their intentions.
But who told them about her being Mrs. Melville in the Melville family?
Seeing Katherine's silence, Sherry pressed on aggressively. "Katherine! Say something! Can't got your tongue after being exposed?"
Katherine sighed and lowered her head as if ashamed. "Since you all know, then how do you plan to deal with me?"
