Chapter 789 Bring Him Home
Katherine pinched Trevor's chin and deliberately rubbed it a few times, "The way you look now makes people want to bully you, make you cry."
Trevor paused slightly, noticing the mischievous glint in Katherine's eyes. "So, you're looking for revenge now?"
Katherine's brow furrowed, and she let go of his face, "Don't flatter yourself! I'm here to see my son, George!"
Trevor knew she was just putting up a front. "He's playing in the living room. Sophia isn't here, so you can go find him."
Katherine shrugged, "I know she's not here; that's why I came!"
Trevor had guessed it; Katherine must have heard that Sophia would be out at this time, so she came.
"Alright, then go find him! I need to continue practicing for a bit, so I won't accompany you."
Katherine looked at him with some disapproval, "You almost fell just now, and you still want to practice here?"
Trevor said, "This is the best place for it. Don't worry about me; I can take care of myself."
Katherine frowned. Even though she wanted to say more, she didn't. She turned around, went into his bedroom, and then opened the door to go find George.
In the living room of the suite, George was playing with his favorite Machine Man toy.
It was clear that he was very happy and relaxed here, able to play with his toys as much as he wanted.
At home, although he was still happy, Katherine usually limited the time he and Charles could spend with their toys. Once the time was up, someone would take his toys away.
Here, there were no such restrictions!
Just as he was engrossed in playing, he heard a distinct cough behind him.
George instinctively froze, then quickly turned around to see Katherine standing behind him with her arms crossed. He thought he must be dreaming!
Could he be hallucinating because he missed Katherine so much?
George rubbed his eyes hard and realized it wasn't a hallucination; Katherine was really there!
He immediately dropped his toy and ran towards Katherine. "Mommy!"
He hugged Katherine's leg, bouncing up and down like an overexcited puppy, evoking a sense of tender affection.
Katherine didn't respond immediately, keeping her arms crossed as she looked down at the little rascal.
"You still recognize me as your mommy? Aren't you having a great time here?"
George pouted, "Mommy, I miss you and want to go home, but... for special reasons, I can't."
Seeing his face about to crumple into tears, Katherine finally reached out and pinched his little cheek, "So, you still want to come home, huh? Mommy thought you had decided to call another woman your mommy and didn't want me anymore!"
George shook his head vigorously, "No, no! Mommy, I've never called Sophia mommy. I don't like her at all! I just stay with Daddy, not with Sophia! Really, you can ask Daddy!"
George was so happy to see his mom that he didn't want to let go, "Mommy, why are you here? Daddy said I would see you, and I believed him! But I didn't expect to see you so soon!"
Katherine lightly tapped George's little head, "No matter where you run off to, Mommy can always find you! It has nothing to do with him!"
George blinked his big eyes, "Mommy, does that mean you've already seen Daddy?"
Thinking of Alex made Katherine annoyed, so she answered with a question, "Who told you to call another man daddy?"
George awkwardly replied, "He said I should call him daddy here so Sophia wouldn't find out."
Katherine frowned and slowly squatted down to examine her son.
George had been staying here these days, and ever since she found out, she had been worried, worried that George wasn't eating or sleeping well, worried that Alex wasn't taking good care of him or protecting him.
But now it seemed George was well taken care of.
She finally felt relieved and instructed George, "Alright, stay here and listen to him for now."
George tilted his head, "Mommy, what do you mean? Aren't you here to take me home? Do I have to stay here?"
Katherine nodded, "I can't take you back for now. Stay here with your daddy. Mommy will come to see you when I get a chance."
George was puzzled. "Why? Can't you take the handsome guy with us? Bring him to our home and let him live with us!"
Katherine squinted at George, "Tell me first, why do you want mommy to take him too?"
George grinned, "Because he's so handsome, I want him to be my daddy!"
George held Katherine's hand, "Mommy, don't you think he is very handsome? He's even more handsome than Uncle Bernard! I was stunned when I first saw him! I never believed there could be a man more good-looking than Uncle Bernard!"
Katherine didn't want to answer George's question.
George cupped Katherine's face with his little hands, "Well, but his health isn't great, and he needs to sit in a wheelchair. Mommy, do you dislike him because he can't stand up?"
Katherine reacted, "No!"
George was delighted, "That's great! Mommy, marry him, then Edith, Charles, and I will have a very handsome daddy!"
Katherine pinched George's little cheek gently. "Since when do you get to decide who I marry?"
George looked up at her with wide eyes. "Mommy, don't you want to?"
Katherine sighed, trying to hide her frustration. "That's not a priority! You disappeared for so long, and I haven't even had a chance to talk to you about that yet!"
George lowered his head, feeling guilty. "I'm sorry, Mommy. I won't do it again, but I still want you to bring the handsome guy home."
He cautiously glanced at Katherine, "Mommy, can you promise me?"
Katherine shook her head. "I think you should stay here with him forever and forget about me!"
