Chapter 892 He Understands Better
Katherine's lips curled into a sneer, "If you're so concerned about your father, why aren't you at the hospital with him? What are you doing out here?"
Sunny crossed her arms and said, "It's lunch break! Bernard is at the hospital watching my dad, so I came out to have lunch with Ambrosia! By the way, Katherine, after lunch, will you come with me to the hospital to see Dad?"
Katherine replied coldly, "No. He's your dad, not mine."
Sunny pouted, "Katherine, can't you just see him as an old man and show some basic human decency?"
Katherine laughed, "If I have the time, I'd rather care for stray cats and dogs. Why should I care for a middle-aged man who was born rich and never suffered?"
Sunny was speechless.
After Teresa finished the shrimp Frank fed her, she couldn't help but say, "Sunny, stop trying to trick Katherine into going to the hospital with you. Didn't you hear they agreed to help me pick out a wedding dress?"
Sunny glanced at Teresa, worrying about how to explain to Edwin when he returned to the hospital in the afternoon.
After finishing their meal, the group headed to the most famous high-end custom wedding dress shop in Janetrick.
Teresa and Frank's wedding was in two days, so there was no time for a custom dress. They had to choose a ready-made one and make slight alterations.
The dazzling array of wedding dresses left Teresa overwhelmed, wishing she could clone herself to try on every dress!
"Katherine, which style of wedding dress do you think looks best on me? I like them all! The trailing ones, the mermaid ones, and the ones with hoops."
Teresa clung to Katherine's arm, struggling to choose.
Katherine's indifferent gaze swept over the dresses, "You have a good figure; a trailing dress would highlight it more."
Although Teresa trusted Katherine's taste, she still found it hard to decide, so she turned to Ambrosia, who was with them.
"Ambrosia, what do you think? Which style looks best?"
Ambrosia, who was not a fan of romance, looked at the satisfying white wedding dresses without the usual girlish fantasies about her own wedding.
At this moment, her expression was somewhat speechless, and she rubbed her forehead as if she had a headache, "Don't ask me, you should ask him. He seems to know better than I do."
She nodded towards Sunny, who was seriously picking out a wedding dress.
Following Ambrosia's direction, Teresa saw Sunny holding a wedding dress, comparing it from a distance with a seriousness that surpassed his gaming focus!
Teresa couldn't help but find it funny and ridiculous. She leaned closer to Ambrosia and curiously asked, "Honestly, Ambrosia, have you ever thought about marrying Sunny? He seems pretty serious about you!"
Ambrosia squinted at Teresa, "If it were you, would you marry that jerk?"
Teresa touched her chin and thought, "Well, if I liked him, of course, I would! I'm even daring enough to marry a playboy like Frank, so why not Sunny?"
Thinking of Frank, Ambrosia suddenly found Sunny more acceptable, "You have a point!"
"Hey, what are you two talking about?"
Frank's voice suddenly came from behind Teresa, and at the same time, a pair of muscular arms wrapped around her waist.
Teresa said with a dry laugh, "Nothing, nothing! We were talking about Sunny!"
"Really?" Frank rested his chin on Teresa's shoulder, pressing his cheek against hers, "But I heard you call my name just now. I'm very sensitive to you calling my name; I wouldn't mistake it."
Teresa blushed, "What are you doing? Ambrosia and Katherine are here! Let go of me and be serious!"
Frank chuckled, "It's okay, they're not outsiders. Have you picked out a wedding dress? Try it on for me?"
Teresa struggled to pry his hands off her waist, "Stop it."
Ambrosia glanced at Frank, then turned to talk to Katherine.
Frank got even more excited, "See? Ambrosia has an impeccable sense of timing!"
Teresa was extremely embarrassed, "I should have known better than to bring you along!"
Katherine didn't pay much attention to Frank and Teresa's intimate actions. She chatted with Ambrosia about the recent situation of the company under Brent's management. While they were talking, her phone suddenly rang.
She took it out and saw it was an unknown number.
Normally, Katherine wouldn't answer unknown calls, but she was worried it might be Alex calling from another number, so she answered without much thought.
The voice on the other end wasn't Alex's but a familiar little girl's voice, "Is this Katherine?"
Katherine furrowed her brows slightly, then remembered who it might be, "Yes, it's me."
Linda said, "Katherine, do you remember me? I'm Linda! You saved my mom before; you're my mom's savior! We met in the restaurant's restroom that day."
Katherine had already recognized the voice, unfazed by the revelation.
But since Linda was Brent's daughter, she couldn't help but be a bit cautious, "What do you want?"
Linda politely said, "I got this number from Julian. I wanted to ask if you have time this afternoon. My mom and I have something we want to discuss with you in person."
Katherine didn't know about Nora and Linda's current situation of running away from home or that Nora was divorcing Brent. She just found it a bit unusual.
After thinking for a moment, Katherine said, "If it's about repaying me, forget it. It's not necessary."
Linda quickly explained, "No, it's not about repaying you, Katherine. My mom and I have something else to discuss with you! It's something very important to you!"
Something very important to her? Could it be related to Trevor and Julian?
Katherine couldn't help but be intrigued, "What is it?"
Linda said, "It's not convenient to discuss over the phone! Katherine, when do you have time? We can meet and talk. You can choose the place!"
Katherine pondered for a moment, "Alright, I'll send the time and place to this number shortly."
Linda was delighted, "Great! Katherine, we'll see you later then!"
After hanging up, Katherine's face was full of curiosity.
Ambrosia noticed her unusual expression and asked, "Katherine, who asked to meet you?"
Katherine snapped back to reality and looked up at Ambrosia, "It's Brent's younger daughter, Linda."
