Chapter 813 No Need to Be Shy
Frank shrugged and smiled, "But I've already changed!"
Katherine glared at him, "A leopard can't change its spots!"
Then, she turned her head to look at Teresa, her expression softening a bit, "Teresa, do you have any dirt on him?"
Frank rubbed his forehead, not expecting that he had such a bad impression on Katherine's mind.
Teresa awkwardly twitched her mouth, "Katherine, no, he didn't force me."
Katherine frowned, "Then why did you agree to marry him so quickly? Have you forgotten how he treated you before?"
Teresa blushed, "He... he said he was serious about me, and I want to give him another chance."
Katherine looked worried, "Just be careful. Dating is fine, I won't interfere! But think twice before getting married!"
Teresa stared at her in a daze.
Frank was really afraid that his hard-won wife would be persuaded to leave by Katherine, so he quickly moved over and sat between the two women.
"Katherine, see! You blame me for not discussing it with you, but how could I? If I did, I'd lose my wife!"
Katherine looked at him with disdain, "Didn't you say you were against marriage before? Are you sure you're willing to be tied down to one woman for the rest of your life? I don't care about other girls, but Teresa is definitely not someone you can just play around with!"
Frank explained with a bitter smile, "Katherine, can you stop bringing up my past? Everyone has a past! I used to think I would never fall in love with any woman, so I preferred freedom and didn't plan to get married. But now, I realize I'm not as carefree as I thought. I've fallen for a woman. For her, I'm willing to restrain myself, accept the constraints of marriage, and take responsibility for her! I've already made up my mind!"
Katherine looked at Frank skeptically, "What if one day you let Teresa down?"
Frank didn't want to swear; he had made too many empty promises before, which would only taint his feelings for Teresa!
After thinking for a moment, he said, "If that really happens, Katherine, you and Ambrosia can find someone to castrate me!"
Sunny pulled Ambrosia close, "Don't drag Ambrosia into this, okay?"
Frank glanced at Sunny, then looked seriously at Katherine, "Katherine, I'm serious this time. I'm not joking. I wouldn't dare treat your niece as someone to play emotional games with! I'm afraid you'd kill me!"
Katherine said coldly, "Stop pretending. If you were really afraid of me, you wouldn't have told me last."
She wasn't really trying to stop the two from being together; she was just worried that Teresa would get hurt by Frank again.
Frank was her childhood friend, and she naturally trusted his character as a friend, but as a man, Frank wasn't exactly a good man!
She turned her face, looking very serious at the not-so-bright Teresa, "Teresa, since you've decided to give Frank another chance, I won't say much more. I wish you both the best. But if he ever wrongs you, remember to come to me first, and I'll deal with him."
Teresa looked at Katherine with great emotion, stood up, and hugged her, "Katherine, you're too good to me!"
Katherine, not used to such intimate contact, awkwardly pried her hands off and pushed her into her soon-to-be husband Frank's arms, then distanced herself.
"Alright! You two go prepare for the wedding. I'll be there with the kids."
Teresa nodded gratefully, "Katherine, this will be the second time you've attended my wedding. I'm really touched, but also a bit regretful. At my last failed wedding, you were still with Uncle Alex! But now he is..."
Mentioning Alex, Teresa felt sad and also felt for Katherine.
She really thought Katherine had it tough, still foolishly waiting for Alex to come back.
Almost all of them thought Alex would never return!
Katherine didn't say anything. In the past, if someone mentioned Alex in front of her, she might have felt a bit sad.
But now it was different. She already knew Alex's whereabouts and had seen him, but Alex didn't remember her.
She just hadn't told anyone about it yet, fearing it would affect Alex.
Frank, seeing Katherine not speaking, thought Teresa's words had brought up sad memories for her, so he quickly pulled Teresa to his other side and changed the subject, "Alright! Katherine has already agreed to our marriage, so don't be sad anymore! Otherwise, I'll get sad too!"
Teresa was amused by Frank's pretend sadness, "What are you sad about? Marriage is a big change for us, so of course we feel emotional!"
Frank frowned, feeling wronged, "So do I. I have already moved my stuff to our new place. Teresa, can't you see my effort?"
Teresa said, "You really don't understand how we feel! Forget it, I won't talk to you anymore!"
Seeing her trying to run, Frank quickly pulled her back into his arms, "Where are you going? If you don't talk to me, who will you talk to? From now on, I'm the closest person to you, you have to tell me everything!"
Teresa couldn't escape, tightly held in his arms, feeling both awkward and shy, "Let go of me! Don't do this in front of Katherine! She'll laugh at us! Let go."
Frank didn't let go and didn't care, "What's the big deal? Katherine won't laugh at us. We're a married couple, hugging is normal!"
Teresa blushed, "Stop it! Even if Katherine won't laugh at us, there are others here! Let go."
Frank looked at the two people nearby and found it funny, "Teresa, you're overthinking it! Those two are more affectionate than us! If they're not embarrassed, why should we be?"
