Chapter 975 Severing the Mother-Daughter Relationship

As soon as she left the hotel, Christina received a call from Cheryl.

Cheryl angrily questioned on the other end of the line, "Christina, what did you do last night? Why is Hudson not even answering my calls now?"

Hearing Cheryl's question, Christina thought of what happened yesterday, and her gaze gradually turned cold. "Do you want to know?"

"Of course, otherwise why would I call you!" Cheryl's tone was aggressive, as if Christina had done something to wrong her!

Christina clenched her fists tightly. "Fine, since you want to know, I'll tell you in person. Wait, I'm heading home right now!"

Cheryl wanted to say something more, but Christina hung up directly!

After hanging up, Christina took a cab back to the Russell house.

Twenty minutes later, as soon as Christina entered the Russell house, Cheryl rushed over and slapped her in the face. "Christina, what did you do? Why is Hudson ignoring me? Do you have to ruin my career in the entertainment industry to be happy?"

Christina touched her slapped face, then slapped Cheryl back. "Cheryl, what right do you have to hit me? I don't owe you anything!"

"You... you dare hit me back!" Cheryl looked at her in shock, unable to believe that Christina had the nerve to retaliate.

For so many years, Cheryl had been the one bullying Christina, who had never fought back.

"I'm not someone you can push around anymore! Get out of my way!" Christina shoved her aside disdainfully and strode quickly toward the living room.

In the living room, Renee was sitting next to Jared. Seeing her come in, she stood up abruptly and asked, "Christina, I asked you to apologize to Hudson, but what did you do? Why did you make Hudson not answer Cheryl's calls?"

"Apologize? Mom, you just wanted me to apologize? How can you ask me that?" Christina sat down on the sofa with a cold smile, her eyes filled with indifference as she looked at them. "Mom, you tricked me into Hudson's private room. What did you expect me to do? Take off my clothes myself?"

At this moment, Cheryl ran in from the doorway, covering her face, her eyes red as she glared at Christina. "Dad, not only did Christina make Hudson ignore me, but she also hit me as soon as she came in."

"What?" Renee immediately rushed to her side, touching her face with a look of distress. "How are you? Cheryl, is your face okay?"

Cheryl looked aggrieved. "My face is swollen. If it's disfigured, how can I continue my career in the entertainment industry? Renee, your daughter wants to completely ruin my career!"

"Cheryl, don't be angry. Go get an ice pack for your face. I'll deal with Christina!" Renee soothed her, pushing her towards the kitchen to get an ice pack.

Cheryl glared at Christina fiercely before turning and storming off to the kitchen.

Dealing with Christina could wait; her face was the most important thing.

After Cheryl went to the kitchen, Renee yanked Christina up from the sofa. "Christina, how can you be so heartless? I asked you to help Cheryl accompany Hudson, and not only did you not do it, but you also came back and hit her. Do you know how important Cheryl's face is? She needs her face to get a job in the future!"

Christina looked up coldly at Renee.

The woman in front of her was her biological mother, but she had given all her motherly love to Cheryl, who had no blood relation to her, and made her biological daughter suffer all the grievances!

Renee was not fit to be her mother!

"What does her job have to do with me?" Christina pushed Renee's hand away forcefully, looking at her with a cold smile. "If she wants to succeed in the entertainment industry, she can fight for resources herself. Why should I sacrifice for her?"

Renee didn't expect Christina to retort like this. She was stunned for a moment and then reached out to slap her, trying to wake her up!

But the slap didn't land on Christina's face; it was blocked by her hand. "Enough! Don't think you can hit me for Cheryl anymore!"

With that, Christina pushed her away, and Renee almost fell to the ground.

"Mom, I've done everything I can for you. You don't deserve to be called my mother!"

"Christina, you're too much!" Jared, who had been silent, couldn't hold back anymore and stood up, cursing her. "Renee is your biological mother, and you treat her like this? You must be crazy!"

Christina couldn't help but laugh sarcastically at his words. "What kind of mother is that? She sent me to another man's bed to get opportunities for her stepdaughter. She treats me like a pawn in her game without considering my feelings or well-being. It's as if my own needs and desires don't matter at all. I used to be obedient, thinking you were my family and I should listen to you, but I'm not a fool! I won't let you treat me like this anymore!"

"Anyway, you've already slept with someone else. What's one more time? Help Cheryl get some resources, and when Cheryl becomes famous, you can benefit too!" Renee looked at her with disappointment. "Christina, I thought you were sensible. How did you become like this?"

Christina didn't expect such words to come from her biological mother. Even though she no longer considered Renee her mother, hearing such words still made her heart ache.

At this moment, Cheryl came out of the kitchen with an ice pack. "Christina, how can you talk to Dad and Renee like that? Are you still their daughter? You're being ungrateful!"

"I can also not be their daughter." Christina smiled bitterly, looking coldly at Renee. "From today on, I'm no longer your daughter. Let's sever our mother-daughter relationship!"

With that, Christina was about to leave, but Renee blocked her way. "Sever the relationship? It's not that easy! Christina, we've spent a lot of money raising you all these years. You can't just leave without giving us anything in return. Even if I agree, Jared won't!"

Renee didn't care about losing her as a daughter; she was worried about not getting any return for all the years of effort.

"How much? Name a price! I'll pay you back for raising me. After that, don't bother me again."

If money could solve the problem, Christina was more than willing.

Cheryl sneered, looking at her with disdain. "Christina, who gave you the guts to boast like that? Do you know how much Dad has spent raising you over the past twenty years? How much money do you have? How will you pay it back?"
