Chapter 930 Alex Is So Cute
Bernard was scolded by Katherine and immediately quieted down, but he didn't forget to tease her, "Alex just went back, and you're already defending him?"
Katherine snorted, "He's my husband. If I don't defend him, who will I defend?"

Katherine thought for a moment and refused again, "Not now! Another day! I'll make time for you to treat him to a meal!"
Bernard said, "Do you have to be so harsh on me? I have to treat him to a meal, and you two have to make time for it?"

On the other end, Bernard shook his head helplessly. This Katherine, she only has eyes for Alex!
Alex dismissed his subordinates and walked over to Katherine with both hands carrying a dozen gifts, "Was that your brother on the phone?"
Katherine nodded, "He knows what happened just now! He said he wanted to come see us, but I didn't let him."
Alex smiled gently and walked with her towards the elevator, "Why didn't you let him come? He could also see your mom."
At this, Katherine frowned deeply, "It's because my mom is here that I didn't dare let him come!"
The elevator door opened!
Alex and Katherine walked in together, and he asked, "Why?"
With no one else in the elevator, Katherine pursed her lips and said, "My mom only wants to see me. She doesn't want to see anyone from the Mitchell family, which is why she transferred to this hospital!"
Alex roughly understood, "Alright, then we'll invite Bernard for a meal another day. He's helped me a lot in secret."
Katherine nodded, "I said we'd have a meal another day, but I told him to treat us, not you."
Alex laughed, "Are you looking out for me? Saving money for me?"
Katherine rolled her eyes at him, "Don't like me looking out for you? Fine, you can treat him then!"
Alex smiled, "I'll do whatever you say. If you want me to treat him, I will. If you don't, I won't spend a dime on him!"
Katherine was amused by Alex and suddenly remembered his injured arm carrying many gifts. She quickly reached out to help, "Let me help you! You shouldn't be using that arm!"
Alex didn't let her take the gifts, sternly saying, "No need, I'm not that weak! It's just a small injury, you don't need to worry so much. Be good! Let me perform well in front of your mom later!"
Katherine said, "Then go impress my mom! Try to make her like you!"
Alex laughed, "I'll do my best!"
Back in Claire's hospital room, Alex was once again the center of attention from Claire, Nora, and Linda.
Not for any other reason, but because he had changed into a hospital gown. What happened?
Alex walked up gracefully and placed the gifts down, "Mrs. Mitchell, these are some gifts for you. I hope you like them."
Claire, leaning against the headboard, looked at the gifts Alex put down and immediately understood why he had excused himself earlier.
Alex had gone out to buy things!
"You're too kind! You didn't have to go out of your way to buy these!"
Alex politely said, "It's my pleasure. Your generosity and kindness deserve to be appreciated."
Every time Katherine heard Alex, such a tough man, speak so respectfully to Claire, she couldn't help but want to laugh.
Who knew Alex could be so proper and eager to impress!
Thinking that Alex was like this because of her, Katherine felt sweet inside.
Since the gifts were already bought, Claire didn't refuse them to avoid hurting their feelings. She nodded and asked, "Alex, you went out to buy things, but why did you change into this outfit? Did something happen?"
Alex shook his head, "It's nothing, Mrs. Mitchell. Don't worry."
Claire frowned, still puzzled and uneasy.
Katherine didn't intend to hide the matter from Claire. She wanted Nora and Linda to hear it too.
"Mom, something did happen! He got injured!"
Hearing this, Claire looked worried, "He got injured? How did he get injured just by going out? Katherine, tell me, what happened?"
Nora also came over to ask, "Yes, Katherine, tell us what happened! How could he get injured in the hospital?"
Linda was curious, blinking her big eyes, "Katherine, how did Trevor get injured?"

Nora's expression changed too. She wanted to hear more and know the outcome, "Katherine, what happened with Sophia? Did she do something to hurt you again? It's okay, tell me the truth, and I'll talk to Brent about it and make sure she gets a good lesson!"
