Chapter 964 Only Care About Money
After watching these two videos, Jared had a pretty good idea of what was going on.
He turned to Cheryl, "Cheryl, what is going on?"
Even though he saw Cheryl entangled with Hudson, Jared's tone was still gentle, unlike the cold and harsh tone he used when calling Christina.
This was the difference. No matter what mistake Cheryl made, Jared would never really blame her or abandon her.
But Christina could be abandoned.
"Dad, Hudson is a boss in the film industry. My agent introduced him to me. I just wanted to try for a role. Nothing happened between us."
Cheryl looked at Jared with a face full of grievance, "Entering the entertainment industry was my own choice. I didn't want to trouble you to pull strings for me, so I had to rely on myself."

"Your own sister? If this is how you treat your own sister, then I'd rather not have one!" Christina sneered.
Seeing the situation getting more chaotic, Renee stepped in to ease the tension, "Christina, Cheryl is your elder sister after all. What are you trying to do with these things, deliberately stirring up trouble between your sister and your dad?"
Unexpectedly, even at this point, Renee still chose to side with Cheryl and put all the blame on Christina.
If Christina had any small expectations for her mother before, hoping to get some motherly love from her, those expectations completely disappeared at this moment.
From the moment Renee married Jared, she was just Jared's wife, just a good mother to Cheryl, never her mother.

Her words instantly ignited Jared and Renee's anger.

All along, Renee, in order to please Jared, put all her attention on Cheryl, constantly flattering her while neglecting her own daughter Christina.

Christina turned to look at him, "You don't know him. After we get married, I'll find a time to introduce him to you."
"Christina, you don't really want to climb up by being a homewrecker and marry some old man, do you?" Christina sneered at him, "I said, I'm here to inform you about my marriage today. Not to seek your approval. It doesn't matter if you don't agree!"
"Christina, how can you talk to your father like that?" Before Jared could speak, Renee rushed over, "We've raised you for so many years, spent so much money, and you think we did it for nothing!"
In the end, all they cared about was money.
