Chapter 381 Whoever Dates Frank Is Unlucky!
"Why are you following me?" Katherine asked bluntly, already having a good idea.
Teresa pouted. "I just wanted to see where you were going and what you were up to!"
Katherine crossed her arms. "Why are you so interested in my schedule? Be specific."
Teresa felt guilty for following her but remembered her mission. She straightened up. "Katherine, I saw you leaving the president's office at Crescent Group. What's your relationship with him?"
Katherine stayed calm. "We're friends. Why?"
Teresa was shocked. "You're friends with the CEO? But didn't you grow up in the countryside?"
Katherine shrugged. "Can't someone from the countryside have a successful startup? Is it so strange to have a friend who became a company president?"
Teresa quickly waved her hands. "No, no! I thought you and he..."
Katherine finished her sentence. "You thought I was having an affair with Frank?"
Teresa felt even more ashamed. "I heard it from Leander. He said you married Frank, so I..."
Katherine fell silent. There had been a misunderstanding with Alex, making him think she married Frank. Naturally, Leander would think the same.
Teresa sighed, looking worried. "Katherine, do you know? Since you left, Alex has been miserable! When I heard you married another man, I wanted to help Alex win you back!"
Katherine snapped out of it and asked, "You planned to help him win me back? How?"
Teresa said confidently, "First, get a job at Crescent Group, then seduce Frank, make him cheat so you'd despise him, and then Alex could swoop in, and you'd go back to him!"
Katherine's mouth twitched, feeling speechless. Teresa's thinking was indeed unique!
Katherine rubbed her forehead. "So how far have you gotten with your plan?"
Teresa said, "I got a job at Crescent Group and have been working there for some time now!"
So that's why Teresa saw her leaving the president's office!
Katherine looked at her helplessly. "And how are you seducing Frank?"
Teresa shook her head in disappointment. "I haven't even started! I haven't found an opportunity! Your friend is hardly ever at the office, and when he is, he's always busy. Even when I bring him coffee, he barely notices me! Am I that unattractive?"
Katherine sighed in relief, glad Teresa hadn't been taken advantage of by Frank. She looked at Teresa's pretty but silly face.
"You're great, just not his type."
Teresa blinked. "Huh? Then what type does he like?"
Katherine said, "Doesn't matter. You don't need to seduce him anymore because I'm back with Alex."
Teresa looked surprised. "You and Alex made up? When did this happen?"
Katherine nodded, glanced at the time, then looked at the entrance of the Melville Group. "Yesterday."
Teresa said, "Just one day? But it's good you made up! I was worried Alex might get depressed!"
Katherine remarked, "You're overthinking it. Even if we hadn't made up, he wouldn't be so distraught. He's a grown man."
Teresa said seriously, "He would! Really, he would! Alex cares about you a lot, believe me! Without you, he'd be depressed! So, never leave him again!"
Katherine thought Teresa was exaggerating. She leaned her arm on the table, propping her chin, and looked outside thoughtfully.
She no longer doubted her place in his heart, but sometimes it felt surreal. Her initial encounter with Alex was dramatic and discordant, and she never expected it to turn romantic.
Teresa suddenly leaned in sneakily. "Well... since you and Alex are back together, can you help me?"
Katherine snapped back to reality. "Help you with what?"
Teresa blushed. "I want to pursue your friend. You seem to know his preferences well. Can you help me win him over?"
Katherine almost choked on air, looking at Teresa with concern.
Teresa didn't understand why Katherine was looking at her like she had seen an alien. She already felt shy, and that look made her even more uncomfortable.
"What's wrong, Katherine?"
It took Katherine a while to recover, frowning. "Nothing. What do you see in Frank?"
Thinking of him, Teresa showed a dreamy expression. "He's handsome! Always smiling, and his smile is so beautiful and healing! He's patient and speaks gently to all the employees! He's my ideal type! Honestly, if you had really married Frank, I could understand why you would leave Alex!"
Katherine pinched her brow. "That's because you don't know Frank's true nature! I suggest you find someone else; Frank's not the guy for you."
Feeling discouraged before even starting, Teresa looked puzzled. "Why? Do you think I'm not good enough for him?"
Katherine said, "No, you're more than good enough for him; he's not good enough for you."
She wasn't trying to belittle Frank, but he was good at everything except relationships. Every girl who had dated him ended up heartbroken.
Teresa shook her head. "He's so handsome; how could he not be good enough for me? Please, help me pursue him! I really like his type!"
Katherine didn't know how to handle this. Just then, she saw Alex coming out of the Melville Group Tower, her eyes lighting up like she had seen a lifeline.
"Teresa, look! Alex is off work!"
