Chapter 1000 Video Call with Him
Adrian's bedroom was huge, like over 400 square feet, and the walk-in closet was another 200 square feet.
She hung her clothes in the walk-in closet.
Clothes in her wardrobe came in a rainbow of styles and colors, while Adrian's were all black, white, and gray, giving him that cold, ascetic vibe.
She ran her fingers over Adrian's suit shirts.
She opened his watch cabinet, grabbed one of his go-to watches, and slipped it on her wrist.
The room was filled with Adrian's scent, a mix of mint and that unique coolness she knew so well.
Her phone rang.
Natalie walked out of the closet and into the bedroom, grabbing her phone from the bed.
It was a video call from Adrian. "You home?"
"Yeah, just organizing my clothes," Natalie said, adjusting the camera to show the suitcase on the floor. She sat down, sorting through her stuff. "You still busy?"
"Just wrapped up a meeting. I'll be home by noon." Adrian usually didn't come home at noon; he had a lounge in his office for that.
From the Howard Corporation Building to Bayview Villa, the round trip was a bit much. Natalie said, "No need to come back just for me. I'll come see you this afternoon."
"Alright, I'll be waiting."
By the time Natalie finished organizing the closet and accessories, it was already noon.
Adrian's video call was still on.
She could see Adrian having lunch in his office, and he could see her organizing clothes.
Natalie asked, "What did you have for lunch?"
"Employee meal."
"Mr. Howard eating employee meals? I don't buy it."
"I had Brice grab it from the cafeteria. It's not bad." Adrian wasn't too picky about food.
"I haven't eaten yet." Natalie stretched after finishing her organizing. She was wearing a light blue thin sweater, and as she stretched, her slender waist peeked out. Adrian looked up, his eyes narrowing slightly as he called her softly, "Natalie."
Natalie picked up the phone stand and walked to the kitchen. Seeing the fridge was well-stocked, she smiled and said, "Didn't expect Mr. Howard to be so detail-oriented. The fridge is packed."
Natalie knew it was probably his assistant or housekeeper who stocked everything weekly. Bayview Villa was just him. Adrian didn't like having housekeepers around all the time, so they only came once a week to clean and restock.
Besides Natalie, there was only a dog.
Natalie placed the phone on the dining table and started prepping the ingredients.
From this angle, Adrian could see her perfectly.
Adrian sat on the couch, his gaze softening.
Suddenly, the camera was blocked by a big dog.
Lucky barked excitedly a few times, licking the screen in greeting.
Adrian's voice came through. "Lucky, move aside, you're blocking the camera."
Lucky was a smart dog and quickly moved, running to Natalie's side and lying down at her feet.
Natalie cooked a piece of chicken breast for it.
"Wait a bit. We'll eat soon." Natalie felt the warmth at her feet, thinking it was like a little heater.
