Chapter 992 It Was Me Who Saved You, Not Alice

Adrian walked ahead, with Natalie trailing behind.

She stopped, her eyes red as she stared at Adrian's back.

Adrian was tall and commanding. When she first met him, Natalie never imagined she’d end up marrying him, not even in her wildest dreams.

With the marriage certificate right in front of her, Natalie felt a whirlwind of emotions. Tears welled up, blurring her vision until she couldn't see Adrian anymore.

Adrian reached the car and realized Natalie wasn't beside him. He turned around and saw her standing a bit behind in tears. He walked over. "What's wrong?"

Natalie lowered her head, grabbed his hand, and bit it.

Adrian gently patted her head. "What happened?"

A hot tear fell from Natalie's eye, landing on his hand.

Adrian's hand trembled slightly. "Natalie, tell me what's wrong?"

He gently stroked her hair.

Natalie lifted her face. "I want to know if this is a dream."

Adrian thought something was wrong because she bit him and cried. He smiled, pulling her into his arms. "It's not a dream. It's real. I love you, Natalie."

"Adrian, do you know? When I first saw you, I thought a guy as amazing as you wouldn't even notice me. I thought we’d never meet again." Natalie's voice was hoarse, her face pressed against his chest. "But we did meet and went through so much."

"Do you remember when we first met?" Adrian recalled. "It was at the Cullen Mansion. You were holding a cup of coffee and almost spilled it on me. I thought you were such a clumsy maid, but you also seemed familiar, like I’d seen you before. I know it sounds cheesy, but when I first saw you, I felt like we’d met before, maybe in a past life, where you were my wife."

"No," Natalie said. "We didn't first meet at the Cullen Mansion."

She stepped out of Adrian's embrace and looked at him. "Adrian, if I lie to you, will you be mad?"

No one liked lies. Natalie was like that, and so was Adrian.

Adrian held her hand tightly, seeing the struggle and tension in her eyes. "No, Natalie, I won't be mad at you."

Natalie seemed to gather all her courage. She took a deep breath. "Actually, the first time we met was at the Four Seasons Hotel. That night, I had just flown back to Vachilit. You were drugged, and it wasn't Alice who was with you that night, it was me."

Natalie had hidden this for too long. At first, she hadn't dare to say it because Avery threatened Rosalie's life. Later, she didn't dare to say it because she knew Adrian hated being lied to.

But now, she had to say it. It had weighed on her heart for too long. Finally revealing it, she felt a sense of relief.

But she also lowered her head, not daring to look into Adrian's eyes.

She still held Adrian's hand tightly, afraid he would let go.

She lowered her eyes. "I'm sorry for telling you this now."

Adrian's eyes flashed with immense shock. Actually, he had thought about it before, that it might not have been Alice.
