Chapter 934 Old Stories

Adrian glanced at Natalie's slender fingers, noticing they were bare, no rings or anything.

He knew she took off her ring for filming. She always wore it before, and Natalie was all about keeping things simple. She had a bunch of jewelry but rarely put on any of it.

Adrian laced his fingers with hers.

"If you ever lose that ring, I'll get you a new one. How about a different one every day for the rest of our lives?" Adrian's eyes were soft and full of love.

Natalie's eyelashes fluttered, clearly touched.

A different ring every day? That was way too much.

Natalie pulled out a diamond ring hanging on a platinum chain around her neck. The diamond was huge and super clear, sparkling even in the dim theater light. "Here it is. I wear it around my neck when I'm filming."

Adrian took the necklace from her, slid the ring off, and put it back on her finger. He held her hand, kissed the ring, then her hand.

His kisses started trailing up to her face.

Just then, the movie's light shifted.

Natalie used the brief light to look at Adrian's teary eyes. "So, you brought me here to put a ring on my finger and watch a movie with me, just for this?"

Adrian chuckled softly, "We haven't seen each other for two weeks. Do you miss me?"

Hearing him call her Natalie made her feel a bit out of it.

Natalie was in jeans today, which frustrated Adrian a bit, but seeing her dazed look, he gently pinched her chin. "What's on your mind?"

Natalie didn't hide it. "Thinking about my grandma."

Adrian had looked into Natalie's past. Her grandma, Helen Duncan, was from Silvervale Town and had passed away years ago.

Worried she'd get sad, Adrian kissed her cheek gently and held her close.

Adrian said, "I went to Silvervale Town when I was a kid. There was an earthquake, and I got trapped under the rubble."

Natalie knew that; she had been trapped too during that earthquake in Silvervale Town.

Helen got hurt in that earthquake, and later, when Rosalie and Stanley came to take her to the Cullen family, Helen passed away a year after.

Natalie's biggest regret was not seeing Helen one last time.

By the time she found out, Helen was already gone.

Rosalie and Helen didn't get along because of Curtis.

Curtis had been with Avery and broke up with Rosalie. Rosalie loved Curtis deeply. Even though she was weak, she fought for him. Helen tried to stop her, and because of that, Rosalie resented Helen.
