Chapter 1101 He Doesn't Remenber Natalie

Natalie never planned on keeping the money for herself. She'd talked to Lauchelle a few times before, and he made it clear she was his only goddaughter in Vachilit. The Imperial Nightclub was a gift for her, no strings attached.

Lauchelle had his own family business in Novaria and probably wouldn't be coming back to Vachilit. Pretty much everything in Vachilit was handed over to Natalie.

Natalie felt pretty lucky.

Her first twenty years were rough.

But then she met Adrian and Lauchelle, and made some good friends along the way.

If Adrian could wake up, she'd give up everything for that.

After a video call with Milan, about half an hour later, Natalie wrapped up the Imperial Nightclub stuff, and her phone rang.

It was Melissa. "Natalie, get to the hospital quick. Adrian's awake."

Natalie thought she was hearing things. 'What? Adrian's awake?'

She was stunned, then overjoyed.

She couldn't think of anything else, just kept urging Derek to drive faster.

Derek was thrilled too, and the car sped up. They finally got to the hospital. The elevator was packed, so Natalie took the stairs instead. She didn't feel tired at all, just full of joy and excitement.

She got to the ward.

The Howard family was already there, gathered around the bed.

Natalie was practically vibrating with excitement, eager to see Adrian, but she had to wait. These were all Howard family elders, so she had to wait.

Through a gap, she saw Adrian's face.

Adrian was sitting up, and the doctor was checking him out.

Natalie held her breath, listening to the doctor. "All his vitals are getting back to normal. But since he just woke up, keep his diet light. After being in a coma for two months, he might have trouble speaking or walking, but he'll recover soon."

Natalie let out a long sigh of relief.

Ruben, leaning on a cane, had been in poor spirits during Adrian's coma. Now, his eyes were smiling. "It's good he's awake."

"Adrian, how do you feel? Anywhere uncomfortable?" Andrea's voice was gentle and soft.

Adrian leaned against the headboard, raised his hand, and rubbed his brow.

'I can't really say where I feel uncomfortable. I'm weak all over, and my head's a bit dizzy and aching. Maybe it's the aftereffects of being in a coma for so long, like the doctor said. But what happened to me? Why was I in a coma?' Adrian wondered, looking at Andrea, clearly surprised.

Adrian's gaze swept around, taking in each face.

He recognized almost everyone, and they all looked happy.

They seemed really glad he was awake.

Suddenly, Adrian's gaze stopped.

Through a gap, he saw Natalie, standing on the outer edge, crying, tears streaming down her delicate cheeks.

But her eyes were bright, shining with light. The joy in her eyes was different from the others, but Adrian couldn't quite pinpoint what made it so special.

Because Adrian didn't remember Natalie.
