Chapter 1351 Tragic Betrayal
Since she was a kid, she had always hated Rachel.
She never thought her prayers would be answered, making Rachel disappear completely.
Now, only Natalie was left.
If Natalie could vanish along with Rachel, that would be perfect.
Jamie was still worried. "You need to get some rest first. Tomorrow, I'll take you to the hospital for a full check-up."
Andrea actually hated hospitals. She had been stuck in one for seven years and was sick of the smell.
But since Jamie had offered, she nodded obediently. "Okay."
Natalie got a call from Finnian.
She felt a bit guilty.
Her family issues had delayed the film crew's progress.
She said, "Take any losses caused by the delay out of my paycheck."
Finnian wouldn't dare say anything to Natalie, quickly offering some polite words. After hanging up, Finnian rubbed his forehead. "Damn it, her problems are always a big deal. What about our time?"
The young woman in his arms looked up at him with a seductive smile. "Finnian, why don't we do something fun with the time we have left?"
Finnian laughed, holding the woman closer. "Alright, you always know what to say."
The actress was the fifth female lead in the show "My Heart, Bright Moon." Finnian had just discovered her; she was very pretty and made him feel comfortable. He had already secretly given her more scenes. Although she was the fifth female lead, her screen time was significant.
Finnian had even transferred some of Penelope's highlight scenes to this fifth female lead.
Penelope hadn't said anything about it.
After all, she was about to join the cast of "Long Ridge Mountain," which was a major career boost.
At the moment, on set.
Penelope had just finished two night scenes.
She was removing her makeup.
Her assistant whispered, "I saw Electra Ross go to Finnian's office again. I heard her scenes have increased a lot."
Penelope was used to the industry's shady deals.
She took out a makeup wipe and cleaned her lips. "She can't change anything."
"Penelope, you should still be cautious of Electra. I've seen her chatting with the screenwriter a lot lately. Her scenes are almost as many as yours."
Penelope was only doing this show as a favor. Her popularity was already high, and she had plenty of top-tier opportunities. She didn't need any show to solidify her status anymore. What she wanted was to transform and challenge herself.
"Long Ridge Mountain" was the project she truly cared about.
"Electra doesn't have what it takes to become famous. No matter how many scenes she gets, it won't matter. Right now, Natalie is away due to personal issues. Once Natalie returns, dealing with Electra won't require me to lift a finger."
A fifth female lead with so many scenes—Penelope might tolerate it, but Natalie and the head screenwriter Anouk certainly wouldn't.
"Penelope, you're always so thoughtful. I was too impatient."
Penelope closed her eyes slightly, maintaining a calm demeanor.
At that moment, her phone rang. Penelope glanced at it; it was Finnian calling.
She answered.
"Hello, Finnian."
"Oops, I dialed the wrong number. Sorry about that," a female voice came from the other end.
Penelope recognized it as Electra.
Penelope pursed her lips, her gaze cold and emotionless.
Ever since she had helped Finnian expand his network, only to be abandoned at a hotel, nearly assaulted, and saved by Caspian, she had been wary.
If she hadn't met Caspian that night, she would have been ruined.
