Chapter 975 Destroying the Appraisal Report
With such a big deal going on, any sudden noise could totally freak Alice out.
Alice was drenched in cold sweat. "No need for help."
Realizing it was just the cleaning staff, she let out a sigh of relief.
She straightened her clothes, put her mask and sunglasses back on, flushed the toilet a few times to make sure the reports were destroyed, and then left feeling more at ease.
'This has to stay a secret forever. I've already blown my chance to marry rich. I can't lose my cushy life now. I hate Rosalie so much. How could I be the daughter of someone so lowly? Rosalie knows all along, no wonder she was so nice to me when I was a kid.' With these thoughts swirling, Alice grabbed a cab to Rosalie's place.
Alice took off her sunglasses and walked into the alley, glaring at the old red door in front of her. She knocked, then pulled out a tissue to wipe her hands and tossed it aside.
Rosalie opened the door, surprised and happy to see Alice. "Alice, what brings you here?"
Alice walked in, eyeing the dust on the ground and the mess in the yard, then looked at Rosalie with pure resentment. "Is Natalie really Avery's daughter?"
Rosalie was initially thrilled to see Alice. She'd been worried about her ever since hearing Alice got taken by the cops for hurting someone but couldn't do anything to help.
Hearing Alice's question, Rosalie froze. She stared at Alice for a long time, her lips trembling. "Alice, what are you talking about?"
The secret she'd kept for so many years was suddenly out, and Rosalie felt dizzy and weak.
Alice gritted her teeth. "How long were you planning to keep this from me? Is Natalie really Avery's daughter? Why am I the child of a lowly servant like you?"
Alice grabbed Rosalie's shoulders and shook her. "Answer me!"
Rosalie held Alice's hand. "Alice, when did you find out? Who else knows besides you?"
Alice suddenly broke down, shouting in agony. "So it's true! Natalie really is the daughter of the Cullen family. Then what about me? Aren't you going to explain what happened?"
Rosalie knew Alice couldn't handle it. She quickly said, "Alice, I don't want this. I love you. I just wanted you to have a good life. Avery and I gave birth on the same day. I was jealous of Avery. I didn't want you to suffer with me, so I secretly switched you and Natalie. Natalie is indeed Avery and Curtis's daughter, and you are my daughter."
Alice slapped Rosalie hard and kept hitting her, venting her anger.
Rosalie knew Alice couldn't accept it. She didn't fight back, just hoping Alice would feel a bit better.
Alice calmed down, breathing heavily, looking at Rosalie. "Does Natalie know?"
'I shudder to think what would happen if Natalie knows and runs back to the Cullen Villa, telling Curtis and Avery the truth. What will happen to me then? Kicked out of the Cullen family? No!' Alice thought.
