Chapter 31 Proof of the Abortion
Avery let out a long sigh of relief, trying to calm herself down. She stood up and said, "You've done a great job, Renee."
"You've been serving me since before I got married, and I will make sure to give you a proper reward."
Renee bowed her head. "Thank you, Avery."
"Arrange a car to take me to the hospital," Avery commanded.
"Yes, ma'am!"
Avery arrived at the hospital. She looked at Alice, who was covered in hives, and couldn't hold back her anger. "Look at the mess you've made!"
She pulled out a stack of photos from her bag and threw them in Alice's face.
"Mom, what are you doing? Why are you yelling at me the moment you walk in?" Alice pouted, looking annoyed. She picked up the photos and suddenly her eyes widened.
"Where did you get these pictures?" she asked in shock.
She remembered the place; it was a club she had gone to with a friend. But who took these photos? How did they get out? She had been having too much fun to notice.
"Mommy," Alice said, her voice trembling with fear. She had just gotten engaged to Adrian, and was so close to becoming his wife. If these photos got out, the consequences would be disastrous.
Avery glared at her and scolded, "Now you're scared? Look at what you've done! You're a Cullen, how could you do something so shameless?"
Alice pouted again. "Mom, now's not the time to scold me."
Avery, despite her anger, softened a bit. She sat down by the bed and said softly, "Luckily, the Howard family doesn't know yet. I've taken care of it. The girl in the photos is Natalie, not you. If anyone asks, just deny it."
Alice felt a bit relieved. At least that wretched Natalie was good for something. She hugged Avery, saying, "Thanks, Mommy. You're the best."
The next morning, in the president's office at the Howard Group building, Brice handed Adrian a paper bag. "Mr. Howard, here's the information you asked for about Natalie. She's a maid for the Cullen family. Her mother is Rosalie, and her father was Stanley. She has a brother named Ryan Teeger. Both her parents worked for the Cullen family."
Adrian opened the bag, revealing Natalie's life story in detail.
[Natalie, 20 years old, currently a junior majoring in fashion design at Ardentia University. Her mother, Rosalie, has severe kidney disease. Her father and brother died in a car accident when she was in middle school.]

Adrian frowned as he read. He had suspected Natalie of scheming to get close to him, yet he hadn't expected her to be this kind of person.
He picked up two photos that had fallen out of the bag. Though they only showed half of her face, it was clear she was entangled with a man.
Lastly, there was an abortion certificate, with "Natalie" clearly signed at the bottom.
