Chapter 533 Factions

Avery nodded and shot Renee a look to get some clothes ready, grinning. "Yeah, you've been running around all day 'cause of Alice. Don't you have a big meeting tomorrow? Let me handle this."

Curtis, looking beat, nodded and reminded Avery, "Be nice. We need her on our side."

Avery smirked, "Got it, no sweat."

Watching Curtis head upstairs, Avery changed clothes and got ready to bounce. No way was she letting Curtis go see Natalie. He might be using this as a cover to meet up with Rosalie. Not happening on her watch!

Alice stood up, looking worried. "Mom, what if Natalie says no?"

Avery patted her hand, "She won't. Chill, I got this. You just focus on taking care of yourself. Call Adrian and get him over here to keep you company. It's been a minute since you last talked to him, right?"

Seeing Alice's face, Avery could tell, "Don't think saving Claire means you're in the clear. You need to stay close to Adrian, look after your health, and try to get pregnant with his kid again. That's your ticket to security."

Alice sighed, "Mom, I want to, but Adrian's been so distant lately. I don't know what to do."

Avery rolled her eyes, "Alice, you really don't get men."

She leaned in and whispered something in Alice's ear. Alice blushed, "You think that'll work?"

Avery laughed, "Why wouldn't it? You're his fiancée; you can do anything. Seize the chance."

Alice nodded, cheeks still red, "Got it, Mom."

Next morning, at Dynamic Entertainment.

Natalie was there to sign some papers. After signing, she bumped into Charlotte, who greeted her with a smile. "Natalie, love your outfit. I'm into that brand too."

Natalie's outfit was from a small brand, just a couple hundred bucks. Charlotte usually wouldn't notice stuff like that. Therefore, Natalie knew Charlotte was just trying to make small talk.

Charlotte was a senior, and since she started the convo, Natalie played along, "Charlotte, there's a café upstairs. Wanna grab a coffee?"

Charlotte nodded in agreement, "Sure thing."

They headed to the café on the next floor, semi-open and pretty safe from paparazzi or stalkers.

A lot of artists from Dynamic Entertainment hung out there.

It was a chill spot to chat and handle business.

From there, you could see the whole Emberlyn of Vachilit from the huge observation deck.

Morning traffic was buzzing, with overpasses weaving in and out, capturing all the action.

Charlotte kicked things off, "I heard you signed on for Oscar's movie. Congrats."

The "I heard" sounded casual, but it felt like a done deal.

Natalie smiled, "Thanks."

She didn't deny it but responded with a simple "thanks."

This left Charlotte a bit stumped on how to keep the convo going.

It went beyond Charlotte's expections.

She cut to the chase, "Natalie, we're both at Dynamic Entertainment. We'll be seeing a lot of each other. I wanna be friends with you. Let's stay in touch, and if you need anything, hit me up."

In this biz, it was better to make a friend than tick off a sly one.
